"What exactly is their goal, if not to stop him???" One has to wonder, eh? Do we even have a "goal"? Do we even need a "goal"? What exactly are we doing with our life, if we are not hell bent on "stopping" someone? Could it being living?

I do not consider that the above article quote is an accurate representation of the facts as the child's mother was with him, having joined the group. 6 months is a very short time to serve for "child abduction" in any country. I actually wrote a letter that could be used in his courtcase to overturn his wrongful imprisonment. I may disagree with what they do and teach others to

According to section 3, of this section of the crimes act, Roland is not guilty of "child abduction" as all the "children" in question were teenagers. I just thought I would give that feedback so that misrepresentation does not occur, and that if it does, it is understood that I am not party to it.

How come I can view this site, and any other site I choose, without my firewall blocking an intrusion attempt carrying a "malicious toolkit", like I see when I visit the JC site? Strange coincidence, if that is what it is.

Quoting Cherry Roland, I think the point that Casey was trying to make was that Craig hid XXX identity because Craig knew that XXX would have been ashamed of what he said. And I see no reason why we should expect an "admission" from XXX, since the letter itself is all the evidence that is needed. I had, however, hoped that he would apologise. Doing a bit of mind reading there Che

As has been said all along. There is enough covert coercion within the group to warrant discussion on these issues. And while "system" wheels may turn slowly and take time recognising such things, eventually the hospital ethics boards recognise the facts.

This psychiatrist is acting in a professional manner having a usual case discussion of a potential donor and is now being lambasted on the JC forum for acting criminally for discussing Rolands case with other medical professionals so that a judgment can be formed on the ethics involved. Quoting "Cherry" See: Something similar happens when someone tries to force us to follow a rule about giving to everyone who asks or about not going to court against someone. What we need to look for is the truth that is being taught in those passages... truths about not being greedy... not truths about giving in to the selfish demands of a greedy world. This may sound like

The woman next to Rob is Christine, Boopalan is the smiling one front left. I do not know who the pensive looking character at the front is, but he does remind me of someone from "At play in the fields of the Lord". Good to see a bit of tech stuff lying around, i.e. laptop, mobile phones, a PDA? Also intersting that they are charging $1.50 US for a small book (Jungle Book) that still

Yasmin thanks for the encouraging words. What is going on here guys? It seems that some sort of shift has occurred where now a website where exmembers and their supporters post is being scrutinised. What is that? Even the "cult" word has been used. Truly a joke, and no doubt plays right into Dave's hands validating what he says. Are you sure Zeus is not working for Dave?

Responding to Sekto's concerns, It is a fact that only around 10% of ex-members of cults will ever talk about their cult experiences with someone other than a therapist or close friend or family member; in other words, most ex-members of these kinds of groups never talk about it. Further, only approximately 50% of ex-cult members ever return to God in some form or fashion; in other word

Dave takes the time to ponder his position and obvious bitterness Source: I've been thinking a bit lately about my attitude toward Quakers in general. I remember that, for the short time that I was in the Children of God, I saw enough of the bitterness that some ex-members had that I prayed and asked God to help me not to become like that even if I did decide to leave. I never praye

Chris Hall says that the "extended" Hall Family has three houses. But the extended Hall Family is actually three families, isn't that right? So isn't that pretty much the norm in Australia? One house per family? I don't see the scandal in that. Chris Masters asks David Lowe: "How much transparency applied to the church’s accounting?" David answers: "

A response to Dave's 4 corners rant. The "Four Corners" program broadcast on ABC-TV last night (June 23, 2008) is a classic example of what appears to be a fast-growing and well organised assault by the political and religious Left on more traditional evangelical religious groups here in Australia. Dave is deliberately hedging his bets here by saying “appears to be” rather
