QuoteTalamasca Imagine the Jesus Christians without McKay. No falling over themselves to get on TV. No sneering, point-scoring, un-Christian nastiness on their forum. Is there a possibility that members might end up doing genuinely Christian work? Helping the poor? Working with the sick? What do you think? You could almost put a John Lennon tune to that statement. I actually don't th

QuoteJosh What I was basically trying to say is that when someone else is paying for the microphone it's not your right to speak into it. It wasn't important to the conversation. But it's kind of important to me for people to understand the differences between rights and privileges, when the line gets blurred people get upset about losing a privilege and don't think twice ab

Just another example of Dave looking like he's saying one thing but then saying the other: "Are people intelligent when they agree with us and airheads when they don't? I don't think so... She (Kirstie) wants to pretend that she never said those very sound, sensible, and insightful things (when she agreed with Dave). And what she has been saying since is little more th

I do not think Dave would really care that he violates others by teaching his lackeys that they can masturbate over the image of someone else. He cannot think with that degree of empathy. He once boasted to a homosexual about his sexual endeavors with his own wife in an attempt to get this person to confirm Dave's suspicions that he was gay so Dave could then condemn him of being a sinner!

Dave talking about the "greatest" thing he has "ever" done We discovered how indifferent the church world is to the message of the cross when we conducted the mock trial in Long Beach a couple of years ago. It was a little painful, what we went through, but it was really NOTHING by comparison to what Jesus went through. And yet, because it was someone right here and now g

Dave wrote: Someone (I think it was Craig) listed a lot of things that he felt proved that our understanding of prophecy is vital to our faith. It was fairly impressive. But decisions to stay single, not renew passports, warn America, etc. are still pretty minor in the eternal scheme of things... something like buying a car, moving house, getting a job, or getting married are by comparison to ga

Good to see Josh defending Kirstie and her virtues despite the fact that she has left the fold. He may need to take a step back to see who was "bluffing down" and "intimidating" who though in regards to Tofferer who copped a barrage of negative speculation that began when he said he was just withdrawing to think about things. I wholeheartedly agree with his following stateme

Simple Simon says: See, I was gonna say that, but thought it inappropriate Dave, do you ever get embarrassed that your followers operate on a "monkey see, monkey do" basis? "SEE", they like to imitate how you constantly make a point by using the word "SEE" when they start their sentences. Personally I feel embarrassed watching the actions of clone

There certainly are some unfruitful works of darkness going on over there, and it seems that Chris, with his new endarknement, feels right at home in it all! They are saying that, now that Chris has turned on us, we are going to turn on him and say nasty things about him. Well, I guess they are right, because now I'm saying that he belongs with those people, and they themselves know that it

Its laughable that Dave tells Al off for getting personal in his attack on Tofferer, because he was just following Dave's lead. I thought Josh demonstrated how a reasonable discussion on a theological point of difference can be made even if it was in the midst of a mob attack. I agree with his point of view AND defend Tofferer's right to express his own without being labelled or bullied

Hi Tofferer. It's good that we can both recognise when Dave picks and chooses the points he wants to address. After Dave wrote: "I do hope that we can discuss these issues a bit" it is unfortunate that he bags you out for trying and collectivises you, along with ALL who have received theological training, as being "indoctrinated" "yes-men" and for failing

Doublespeak Dave defends submission to religious fathers I see that Tofferer has made a return to the JC forum, explaining his two issues of theological difference with the JC's. He adds; "Also, be certain to carefully review the Augsburg Confession. It, along with the 95 Theses are what allow us the freedom to be Christians without being in submission to a "pope" or &qu

I see that after my contribution exposing Dave as the serial slanderer he accuses a Quaker named David Lowe of being, Dave has changed the title of his current rant with a long post that supposedly tables the "evidence" that proves David Lowe is Private Eyes. It is very brave of Kate to risk the wrath of Dave in setting the record straight. When one follows Dave's adv

Dave telling Glenn what to post SOURCE: In the past you have been good about mentioning in some posts that we strongly disagree, at the same time that you have said things in support of us. If you did something like that at this time, there will be less chance of misunderstanding amongst Friends who read this. Following up with a rather projecting quote from Jeremy (adding in Glenn's

The slander resumes (exposing Dave's projection from his post ) Now that David Lowe has (apparently) not followed through on taking Dave to court for the persistent hate campaign against him, Dave feels he has been given the green light to resume his slander. He is back posting on his forum more of the same lies that he has been spreading from the start. I might add that these lie

Some recent Dave doublespeak: SOURCE: “Bible prophecy is NOT of huge significance within the Jesus Christians, far from it... believe it or not” I think not. Lets see... Dave believed the destruction of the United States was imminent in 1967 and fled to Australia with his heavily pregnant wife and son. He joined the Children of God with similar end time prophecies and wrote a manuscript on

Dave pretending to be "scared" of a conversation BTW, I was surprised to hear Lisa say that Aspergers takes away a person's ability to feel empathy. It seemed so unlike you, and kind of scared me off for a while. I do not think I h
