.... Though then I rewatched the famous 2007 Mooji clip 'The Darshan of Death' and I felt ashamed: This is pre Monte Sahaja Mooji, where you don't feel he's trying to hypnotize you, he isn't presenting himself as the incarnation of God, etc. He's just wise and compassionate.

This quote about the behaviour of cult leaders applies equally well to so-called femdom goddesses, humiliatrixes, and purveyors of POV humiliation videos: "Shame is the currency of cults and their leaders. The human potential for shame, to feel not good enough, bad or unworthy, is what cult leaders exploit. These traumatizing narcissists instill shame in their followers, using belittl

Regarding there being a security detail - look, satsang is full of crazy people who are being made even crazier by Mooji. So naturally there will need to be a team member or two with Mooji as he walks around, helping him keep control of the situation. For example when people embrace him, he's fine with it for a good long while. But if they hold on too long, he may pat them on the bac

It's pretty funny to hear of Mooji recommending people undergo New Age woo-woo "treatments". Because whenever an audience member in satsang would tell him they'd things like angelic readings/numerology/ouija board/palm reading/New Age woo-woo, Mooji would roll his eyes, give a big hearty laugh, and say "Don't waste your time with this. Stay as the awareness itse

Newsgroup post from 2017: "> I watched a Mooji video in which a very zoned-out young devotee asked > from the back of the hall if he could "come close," and on being > invited, sat down at Mooji's feet, who then began speaking. He said, > with the appropriate gestures, if I take away your ears, your nose, > your mouth; if I take away your hair, your skin,

From 2010: "I had a great chance to see Mooji on his satsang this weekend in London Brixton. I have to say he is one incredible human being. I felt like all he said there was aimed at me. lol Probably everyone feels like this. But I did had some strange things happening to me once the satsang was over. As I left the building in peace and meditation like state I could not help but won

Regarding the seating - at ZMar, there would be perhaps 8 or 10 lines of people that would start to form 30-45 minutes before the hall would open. Then some Mooji crew people would draw short/long straws to pick the order that the lines went into the hall. So there wasn't really that much incentive to start queueing really early. Because if you arrived late and were at the back of a

Listening now to the Daniel Shaw interview: "The group is a cult when the actual work of the group is really only about inflating the delusional leader's idea of his own perfection and of his own omnipotence. The actual work of a cult is to make sure that that guru is constantly so that they can hold on to their delusion of omnipotence. And members' work is basically to

I don't think it's yet been established that Mooji "extracts money" from anyone. The prices charged for 5-, 7- and 10-day Mooji retreats are very reasonable. They are considerably cheaper than the yoga retreats I see advertised, yet involve far more people to run. You can buy stuff from the Mooji shop if you want, but we're not talking thousands here. What we do

Here are some of the places where Mooji acolytes can stay when they're in the area but not living at the ashram, for instance if they're day-visitors to Sunday Satsang: I remember hearing at one point that the plan was for newcomers and the less-than-fully-devoted to be kept out of Monte Sahaja and encouraged to stay instead in this places instead. I'm sure the weather is

Yes, it IS funny how seriously Sahara71 is pursuing this, for someone who just wasted a bit of time watching some Youtube videos. I mean, I kinda regret the time I spent watching "Epic Rap Battles of History", nevermind "Saturday Night Live" (which is seriously unfunny!!). Yet I haven't vowed to take them (or Youtube) down. Maybe I've seen too many movies but

Sahara71 - be careful of making accusations of financial impropriety without any evidence. Though if you are actually a forensic accountant who's been through the books, I apologise. I don't think you're at much risk of being sued, but you might find it useful to have read this:

Sahara71 - yes, actually, I had a similar experience when I tried showing this video to a very grounded/charming/high-achieving friend of mine: He just laughed at it. Whereas for me... I felt this was the place I had to go to! Luckily I never did, because for me (and other mentally troubled people) it would have been at best a dead-end; and then perhaps something more serious than that

StartingOver's post reads like a Creative Writing Competition entry written by someone who's read this thread and combined it all together into fictional BOMBSHELL ACCUSATIONS!!! I think the construction of the Christ Chapel at Monte Sahaja was another sign of Mooji elevating himself to Godhead status. As well as symbolising his blasphemous but for some obviously potent confusion of Christianity with Mooji-worship. At the end of satsang when beautiful women sing Christian hymns to Mooji, like "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands", I felt both repulsio
