The one that is perpetually angry is Gary, who is still managing to dupe people into believing he channels God. The rank and file in the fellowship, subjected to his relentless, guilt-laden messages, have suffered far too long. It is my hope that their minds/hearts will be freed from his sadistic ministry...and they will know what it is to breathe again. Maybe even have some fun, without worryi

If anyone received a message about a work day at the church today, which will include free refreshments for every dedicated worker--please disregard. Old habits die hard. Sorry about that.

Slight correction--gone more like 18 years: The decision to leave was made at the Palmer Lake conference--the year Princess Diane died ('97)...and we actually left the fellowship in May of the following year. Yes, it took some time to extricate ourselves. BTW, the conference was quite peculiar--people taking some significance to Princess Diana's death (still not sure what it was), an

I appreciate your post, Twoteetwo. Welcome! p.s. So far, to the best of my knowledge, no one in this forum has sought to lead another into the work of the cross...and/or into an intimate relationship with the grumpy heavenly father. Nonetheless, I still participate.

Good discussion going on here...processing what you guys are writing. Meanwhile, just keep in mind...there are always places on the planet where not paying attention to the leader has even more dire consequences than what you might face in TLWF. An example: TheHill.com: North Korea had a top government official executed last month for having “bad sitting posture” that made it appear he f

Well, I just finished reading the New Testament again...and my main takeaway remains this: Obedience is not optional. Have a blessed day.

Gary is God's representative--so the simplest and safest approach is simply to do what he, or his representatives (shepherds), tell you to do--without question. This dynamic leads to the family spirit, and the inexpressible freedom the scriptures promise to the faithful. Good luck. p.s. obedience is NOT optional. Don't go there!

It is an encouraging sign that Gary is finally beginning to seek forgiveness from the people he has wronged. First step to maturity.

O.K.--the father is invited to the party. But if he gets into a cantankerous mood, and attempts to squelch the festive spirit, he should be ushered out by security. He can not continue to be Daddy Downer without consequences!

"The Power Of Our Words" August 21, 2016 "Our words can . . . sting, cause pain, or tear things down." (Ya think?) I recall attempting to draw my older brother into the Walk in the late 70's. I figured if I could just have him read a This Week, he would see the light. After scanning the first page, he handed it back to me with a two-word observation: "it's hypnotic." He always prided himself on being independently-minded (a mortal sin in the fellowship), was gifted intellectually, and c

Rule, Reign, Wrath & Dissension I think this would be a superb name for an end time Metal band. Note: if I was part of the group, I would insist on being Dissension--arguing for hours on end until everyone agreed.

Note: We have our disagreements on this board, but for the most part we function (I think) without wrath or dissension. In fact, I'm now considering asking God that at least a few of you get the opportunity to rule and reign--whether it's in your heart, or not.
