Posted on this date a year ago: Posted by: Reepicheep Date: November 29, 2019 04:42AM Can you imagine what a bummer it was for JRS when December 1979 rolled around and no Kingdom? What to do with all the ginormous tubs of soybeans? Ah, give them to Kingdom business workers. They don't have any food. And JRS was using the KB credit cards to live high on the hog. But what if someone

I am thankful for everyone who has contributed to this forum through the years, sharing their personal stories--even those who back in day may have inadvertently "killed John" or "violated Marilyn's spirit." In retrospect, it was probably a good thing. ;) Anyway, have a pleasant Thanksgiving and stay safe! .

Excellent post, fromsouthchicago. Thanks for weighing in. I have a reasonably good idea what of the awful things that many of you have experienced at the hands of my cousin Marilyn (and other relatives of mine as well.) For that I am truly sorry. Thank you for participating in this forum, and shedding light on various topics, including your cousin. I presume you never related to her as the

Twenty years later a woman from the Valley church got word to Gary and Marilyn that she had been with John on that December 12th in 1972. Was she transported seven years into future too? Or was it just John? Nevermind.

A post from September of 2018 by 'Saw Enough' regarding John's "vision of the Kingdom." A post by 'pressingonbyHisgrace' from January of 2019...which references the accusatory, condemning phrase "killing John." This was said to people who were not toe-ing the line correctly, in the late 70's and early 80's. The respons

Thank you for sharing, Wasted and KSargent. Feel free to continue posting whatever is on your mind. It's obvious that you both have deeply experienced the affliction put upon the fellowship by self-serving leaders without conscience or ethics. All the best in your own path toward healing, and thanks for the encouraging words.

BTW, don't allow the monstrously evil act of one Jones (Jim Jones) color your attitude toward all Joneses. Most of the Joneses I've encountered in my life tend to be good, decent people..albeit with a few annoying quirks. They don't deserve to be lumped in with this anomaly.
