Ole Nydahl is the most scumbag traitor in the world hes the reason why the Black Crown was stolen by tai situpa, cos he played the 16th Karmapa on his deathbed as he was scared to say no to anything. May he die asap so real dharma can flourish. He will never see the light of the day in dharma ever again.

I found it always really disturbing to see the picture of Mr. Nydahl in the same height as the 17th Karmapa above the altar. He does not belong there as he his no genuine teacher nor a yogi nor another kind of realized being. For me Mr. Nydahl is a narcissistic faker and his imitators can have his picture next to their bed or in their wallet if they wish.

Here is a link to shamarpa‘s teaching about Mahayana and Vajrayana, the origin and how it should be practised. I found it very interesting- it is quite different to what you hear in DW(…)

I would like to add that this article is about the relationship of a narcissistic teacher with his student and sheds some light on the psychological background.

it helped me a lot to understand myself, why I was in the Nydahl group for so long and what I was looking for there.

Exactly.

None of us is born wanting to be exploited. We are social creatures.

We are wired to need, to expect, to seek connection with each other.

When human psychological and spiritual growth is thwarted/disrupted, we are like tree roots seeking moisture.

A tree needs water or it dies.

Our roots strain towards water -- even when that water flows from a source that is intermittently wholesome and toxic.

I do not know who is fully realized and who is not.

But you do not need it to explain the difference between Mahayana und Vajrayana- where is the origin and what way is useful for whom.

I remember the confusing fairytales about it spread in DW.
