I know Cathy Shaw personally. She is an upstanding woman of God. You have made previous comments about her and her family that is untrue.

She is a true prayer warrior and intecessor. You obviously don't know her like many of us do or you would not be making these mean and untrue remarks about her.

I also am an intercessor. I have walked into many a house that had demonic presence within them. It is called discernment of spirits that many intercessor's are gifted with /including noticing this within people, words of knowledge and words of wisedom. Why, so we can pray and help people that the Lord brings across our path and the church. We give all the glory to God since we are only vessels that the Lord uses. This is how the Lord has geered us up.

If it is true (and I doubt this) what you stated that Pastor Barnes said "that a house is just made up of nails and wood," he is wrong. And I am glad that he is gone including M&C.

TPCWOC leadership have been a Bill Johnson fan for quite a time now. A year ago when we decided to leave, my sons discipler group, the leader had a Bill Johnson book and was teaching out of it and shared with my son on how he was a big fan of his. And when I was on vacation in Redding last summer in late July the media leader on staff at TPCWOC took a bunch of youth down to the Bill Johnsons, Bethel Church. Mike had the gift of taking ambitous people and using them to achieve his goals. maybe he even inspired this ambition, and taught how good it was to have it. mainly I'm talking about those who call themselves spiritualy gifted, those who have titles for themselves which is a measure of importantce and standing in the body of Christ. I dont know why it bugs me so much, but it seems like when a person titles themselves prayer warrior , or prophet, or man o god, or even pointing out any special ability to decern spirits. seem to point to them not to Jesus or the Holy spirit. this attitude of spiritual betterness seemed to be taught at t p. and it always seemed so anti Christ to me.. Baby Beffy,I do not know if I told you this or not but when we got the adoption started for our little girl and I got fingerprinted for the DSHS background check and I killed two birds with one stone and got fingerprinted the same time,same night for the concealed weapons permit as you well remember!Well baby the lady at the counter asked me if it was a renewal or an original and I said i had one before that I did not renew and she said well it does not matter how you fill it out the computer will run your info and it will put a check in the appropriate box.I did not show you but the box that the computer checked is obviously renewal! To have told the kids i took one out to harm them and even worse take them to a counselor to have the counselor tell them i was gonna harm them,c'mon,that is beyond evil,even for a full fledged cult member !

I get that you are hurting, but you need to understand that this forum is not the appropriate place for you to write private correspondence to (or about) your estranged wife. OK?

I understand that you are frustrated and upset by the events that have gone on in your personal life as a result of your contact with Turning Point. I get that, and I'm not discounting the reality of it. But, Randy, you need to find and draw a line between your personal business and the more universal business of what happened to all of us in the abusive authoritarian community at Turning Point. The line between those things will help us all, as we are not OK with your posts to your wife on here. They violate the rules of the forum and make a bad case for your character. In other words, you are just hurting yourself by posting those things.

So, can you see my point? That the stuff that is specific to you in your family relationships needs to stay off of this board? The stuff that is more universal to everyone is welcome here. For example, if you know that a number of marriages were damaged by wrong counsel at TP, you can say that. But to begin airing the state of your personal family life and calling them out on here is way out of bounds.

I believe several times Jesus addressed people who run around with titles, like "prayer warrior, or prophet, apostle, or man o god, (scribes and Pharisees) or even pointing out any special ability to discern spirits" I would agree it draws the attention to the person with the title and not Jesus. I believe churches like TPC and Radiant Life and even Bill Johnson with Bethal church in Redding California are guilty of assigning titles to gain supposed levels and positions of authority. These groups continue to make this critical mistake of trying to do the job of the Holy spirit. Looking back at the results of the Spiritual Parenting movement. It was an individual stepping into a persons life as a discipler or spiritual parent and then manipulating the behavior of a new member, to change or coercing an act of kindness of an act of giving or service. On the out side it looked nice, but in the hearts of the new members were simply used and abused. For a church leadership to be stepping into peoples lives to some how generate some kind of new behavior change without a genuine heart change of repentance of sins and Faith in Jesus, would that not be considered blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?
