Miki,

Know you are not attacked. You brought up the legal action against tpc and as a result many responded. We are not M & C. Your opinions or way to handle your grievances should not be dictated by us. We simply shared our opinions. I pray you would not be offended. My post regarding depression and tpc was not really in response to you but anyone who as a result of the pressure placed on them at tpc have dealt with a host of negative emotions.

This board has no one "perfect." I am the first to say I need the grace of God. This place is a healing ground for us all. Sometimes healing can look a little different to each.

I am sorry you have gone through so much after leaving tpc. You are right, although we have all had much of the same experience, we are not in your shoes.

So here are some scriptures that I've been praying about.... I'm sick so there's alot of time to pray.

THE LAW
1Timothy 1:8 We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious.....for slave traders and liars and perjurers and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorios gospel of the blessed God...

Romans 2:12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are rightous in God's sight, but it is thoses who obey the law who will be declared righteous

FALSE PROPHETS
Mathew 24:23 At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not belive it. For false Christs and fase prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect -if that were possible.

MIKE & CYNDI (although only God judges, this fits perfectly... at least that's my thought)
Colossians 2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in fase humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

Now, I am going back to bed ;0)

Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations. In 1870 he delivered a sermon based on Colossians 2:18 entitled A WARNING TO BELIEVERS. In this sermon he said "There is another party who will seek to beguile you of your reward by bringing in speculative notions, instead of the simple truths of God's Word." These are the gray areas that Pastor Mike has been exploring for the last several years. If your interested in reading the sermon you can find it at [www.biblebb.com] this sermon begins "Let no man beguile you of your reward."--Colossians 2:18. This sermon preached 140 years ago supports the point Miki's in her post.

At [www.biblebb.com] you will find 969 articles and sermons covering a wide variety of topics and scriptures. I have found it useful and informative.

Dear Learning Point,

What a heartbreaking story. Very very touching. I can't wait to read the rest of your story.
My son had read it and wanted to tell me part of it but I yelled over him because I wanted to read your own words.

I hosted one of the Genesis meetings at our house. I feel ashamed now.

In retrospect it was manipulative. It had a veneer of biblical wording and some merit but in the end it was obvious the technique that was used. Get as many people to have little jobs as possible. Some, like the one I was given, were totally meaningless. But I believe the idea was to make you feel "part" of the team. Then gradually build up to the night that the leaders publicly march up and give their pledge then use that as leverage to get others to give their pledge on another night.

It would be interesting to know how much money that company makes a year.

Thanks again.

Marty

Yes, it would be interesting to find out how much they make--more interesting to know how much Turning Point paid them. A company that gets paid consultant-type bucks (i.e., big bucks) to help churches raise funds...kind of scammy in my book.

Here's their website: [www.generis.com]

Thanks for your empathy, M. You were there; I know you know.

M & M,

You were not the only one to be taken in by a pastor we all trusted. I would remind you that what the enemy meant for your harm God will use it for your good. This was a learning experience and if I were going to learn anything the hard way, I know I am not alone in the way I feel and that I have very wonderful people that I can reach out to during my healing process because they are going through the same thing too. We were all taken in, but now our eyes are open and we can hold onto God's word that hard lessons will become something good in our lives. We are free to worship our God and fee

I know that God is there to help all of us heal. I know that nothing that the Leadership at TPC has done is going to drive a wedge between me and my savior Jesus Christ. God's ways are not ours and his thoughts are not ours either. But I know that he has a plan, and I don't need to know the plan, I just need to know that he is in control. I think this experience is one of those trials that we were warned would happen in life. So we keep our eyes on the Lord with the knowledge and faith that something good will come out of all of this.

Greetings, Turning Point Leaders!

What a whirlwind week this has been for all of us! Whether you've just returned from the Philippines w/ Pastor Cyndi and I, poured yourself out for Easter service, started 2nd quarter SOMA NW, or helped Dr. Sam Chand to assess the health of our church, you have been instrumental in the advancing of God's Kingdom! Thank you!

Dr. Chand, Pastor Cyndi and I spent almost three hours together reviewing all that he learned during his two days with us. We talked through every one of the actual quotes (no names attached) of nearly 30 elders, key leaders, paid staff and volunteers concerning suggestions and observations, while also rejoicing over the many unique qualities that were identified in TPC. We are so proud of God for all the good and eager to improve in our weaknesses! Though this was certainly an assessment of our church, it was even more an assessment of me as the pastor, and for that I am very excited!

Please pray diligently for us as we intentionally work to improve on four important areas that Dr. Chand identified:

1. Communication: Improving TPC's ability to convey critical information internally and externally
2. Structure: Bringing greater clarity and flow to what we do
3. Assimilation: Finding ways to more effectively engage new people into life with Jesus and His Church
4. Growth: By inspiring and equipping each ministry to grow, we will continue to grow His church and His Kingdom

I invite you to join us in the Spirit of Unity and the bond of peace as we strive to even more effectively share the good news of Jesus Christ! Let me leave you with a quote from Dr. Chand, "The future of Turning Point Church World Outreach Center is bright and promising. The Lord has placed His plans for you in you already. Your DNA is obvious. I know you are ready for it."

I love you and thank God for each of you!

Pastor Mike

I believe Pastor Mike needs a lower salary and SOMA should be free of charge! Pastor Mike needs to renounce Tony Cunningham and give up all the false teaching(covering of the apostle, double honoring, spiritual parenting, shepherding movement(discipleship),New Apostolic Refromation, Word-faith movement, Health and wealth prosperity gospel, positive confession false teachings, etc. Pastor mike needs to stop inviting false teachers to preach from TPWOC pulpit. Pastor Mike needs to repent and renounce of all this all in writing and in front of the church! Pastor Mike needs to pull people from leadership positions who teach any of these false teachings! Elders should not have any connection with being on the payroll! Pastor Mike needs to be held accountable by Elders who are gifted in apologetics so that this doesn't happen again! Pastor Mike will have to under go counseling from a outside sourse for long period of time! Pastor Mike needs to meet with people he has hurt and say he is sorry! Pastor Mike needs to give up all outside side jobs and just be a Pastor! I am sure I can think of more. If this happens TPWOC will be saved and you would see real revival! If not TPWOC will become real messy and things will be worse! Then Pastor Mike could leave the State and take over some other church or start his own! Or the TP people who have left could start there own church! Whatever happens TPWOC is going to be an embarrassment to Marysville! For those of you who chose to stay and fight,Praise the Lord! For those who won't change, we love you and pray for your eyes to be opened! We will never give up the fight for truth!
I can help Pastor Mike for Free. All he had to do is read the Forum to find out what is wrong with his leadership. How much money did Pastor Mike waste on Dr. Chand. I wonder if its the same amount he wasted on Bob Harrison(Dr. Increase guy), Casey Treat(the helecopter guy) and Dr.Dave Martin(prosperity guy).
