I've bumped a few other JCs related threads. It may be an idea to change the title of those threads also.

Here's a critique of ''The Tyrant Within'' aka ''The Microchip Implant Film''.

The Tyrant Within
BY JOSEPH BEVAN – JULY 8, 2011
POSTED IN: FEATURE FILMS, REVIEWS

Don’t take sweeties from strangers; it’s a universal principle that is ingrained in us all from a young age, and accepted as wise advice. What about a film? Not some cheap pineapple lollypop, but a forty-seven minute documentary, is that potentially hazardous? Last month while shopping in Lewisham market a man in black handed me a DVD.

“Watch it, then you will understand,” he grinned, his hair lulling in the breeze, I offered him a pound donation, which he happily took and slipped into his top pocket. The Tyrant Within was neatly printed across the DVD face, scrawled on the plastic wallet was Small Fish Productions in green felt tip, intrigued and excited I hurried home.

The documentary starts with a flurry of news snippets concerning a certain microchip, creating a false sense of hysteria for a microchip that passed by relatively unnoticed. In 2002 the Verichip Corporation received preliminary approval from the United States Food and Drugs Administration, green lighting the implantation of microchips into humans. These microchips could be used to store people’s medical records or bank details, snugly, in the top of their arms. Obviously the Orwellian undertones are fairly disconcerting, however it seems Small Fish Productions have much bigger fish to fry. The man, the establishment and the devil you dig? Shamefully bias, this film labels the microchip the mark of the devil (Revelation 13:16-17) and the beginning of the end, and if being responsible for Judgment Day wasn’t enough, the microchip is also quite sore for a few weeks after implantation, its evil, or at least that’s the impression The Tyrant Within is trying to convey. Don’t fret or worry, its under control, The Tyrant Within rabble has a master plan. Here’s the three step programme to Salvation, give-up money, eat lentils and enjoy folk music- good bye apocalypse! Its not all bad, to be honest for a certain period of the film, I was truly convinced it was a comedy; a satirical masterpiece poking fun at propaganda and extremism, until the main protagonist dismantled the fourth wall and told us the truth.

“We are freeganist’s,” he said, so it is a serious provocative documentary? Oh. After that twist, (which no one saw coming) the Tyrant Within shamelessly advertises Freeganism. Freegans are anti-consumerist who scavenge or dive (as it’s technically known in the business) through supermarket/domestic bins for food; they also abstain from using legal tender and promote giving for the sake of giving, nothing should be wanted in return. So The Tyrant Within isn’t a documentary, it’s bordering on propaganda, trying to win the hearts and minds of young liberals everywhere. Beneath the landslide of prejudice, scripted public interviews and clumsy editing there’s a fascinating point, however the delivery makes it all to easy to ridicule and dislike even though freeganism is a selfless organisation. For example, the use of evil laughter and the crackle of lightning when a pedestrian agrees with religious parallels is far too difficult to forgive; rule one of documentary making: Don’t treat your audience like a sponge!

All the threads I could easily find have had the titles revised and an update posted on first entries advising vistors of the name change.

1. How many followers does McKay have at present?
2. Which countries are they located in?

Before the 'disband' they had around 20 members. That figure has likely risen since they rebranded the cult. Rebranding the cult means they've been able to seek new members without the JCs baggage hanging over them.

Since the 'disband' they've been spotted distributing in the US, the UK and more recently Ireland. It is believed they also have a presence in Kenya and Australia.

Where were they (relatively) recently spotted distributing in the USA?

Zeuszor,

Would it be possible to update the dossier and send it to Universities in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland?

Belfast would be a good starting point as that is their last known location.

You have a copy of it too, as do several others. Why don't you send it yourself? ;-)

I thought it was just a shortened version you had sent me?
