I'm sure it wasn't doing that earlier! lol, all is not lost. Does anyone else here use 'yahoo answers' to raise the profile of criticism of a cult? I know the 'anti-AA' people do.

I mean in connection with the specific groups these people are fanatically trying to 'spin'. I imagine it would be a tactic tried by Landmark and other groups too.

In an effort to suppress the very vocal and serious criticism of them, some cults seem to have got the threads about them on this site, which would rate at least in the top 20 or something on the google search engine, completely removed from it. It can't just be that it's sunk down the ratings as even searches for 'Rick Ross' or 'cult' plus the organisations'

QuoteRama Das (slave name) Of course David Icke is an easy target, but unfortunately the rest of his work, outside of reptillians (including reptillians, too, actually) is very thoroughly researched, sourced and elaborated on. No-one takes Icke seriously as a 'scholar' or researcher. He often quotes from one book alone the whole way through, or quotes from books which are to varying

"Meanwhile, a French filmmaker is suing Google for hosting a controversial documentary about alleged cult the Landmark Forum on Google Video and YouTube. The unnamed plaintiff seeks $193,000 in damages, but the lawsuit poses a much larger threat for Google in the form of precedent." It's not france 3 doing the sueing though is it? Is this true? :?

Zeuszor, it seems a bit random to go after the JCs bigtime when your only experience of them is to have met them briefly. Why them and not some other group? Not that all cults being exposed isn't good, but get your own life how you would like it first and foremost, rather than spending a lot of time on a group you've never really had much involvement with. There will be ex-member

Quotecultreporter Well in perspective we have the person who started the whole thread casting very unempathetic and quite odious judgments on how people who have been sexually abused should act. I don't know what you are on about ere. I support people who've been sexually abused 100% and I haven't said they should act any particular way. Please point out anywhere where I have

I have no doubt this woman has been abused, it certainly may have contributed to the many years she has spent in psychiatric care. Yes, she does have a psychiatrist. Not that that would be grounds to refute what a person says wholesale. I don't think she was in a Satanic cult or a victim of satanic abuse though. All research into SRA has proved it to be non-existent. This lady m

I like to think I am very supportive of other survivors and validate them. However several months ago I met this girl online who claimed to have been victimised, drugged and abused by a global satanic network from the age of 3. Nothing like her organisation is discussed on any cult forums or in databases. It sounds like the type of high-level (her phrase) worldwide Satanic conspiracy which h

Do you think the Quakers really know what McKay does and believes? In the UK, the Quakers are quite a respectable organisation. I find it hard to imagine them knowingly and willingly having much to do with this lot if they knew all the news reports etc.

QuoteThe Anticult But for stuff like cults, it just doesn't work. I think in those cases one would need a series of full articles side by side, and then let people make up their own minds based on the evidence. Well you can do this by looking at versions in the page history, and the talk page. Even information that hints at slander according to the lackeys, is often still there a little o

QuotecarlYou mean you think the churhc of Satan is a normal group??!? Compared to this lot, yes. Joy of Satan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joy_of_Satan- this is the version by me, so I can vouch for it's accuracy. I don't think the JOS dispute this much as it now stands.) The Joy of Satan is a denomination of theistic Satanism founded by Maxine Dietrich/Andrea Herrington. It

QuoteThe Anticult There was lots of good stuff up there in the past, but it was all deleted by Robbins followers. But a lot of that is chronicled on the talk page, his lawyers hastling people for things written in the article and stuff. So it hasn't gone completely :) I'm an optimist lol. Yes it's strange how little criticism there is of him on the net as a whole. What other info from the trial would you highlight, that Robbins' camp didn't deny? I've looked through bits of the trial documents, but am finding it

Quoterrmoderator "Jews for Jesus" is after all a member of the Evangelical Coucil for Financial Accountability, which is hardly a Jewish institution, but places the group within the context of its actual religious identity. I'm attempting to put some criticism in Tony Robbin's article on wikipedia. Some criticism was there in the past, about his marital 'advice' and about a company called Dreamlife, but it was all removed due to legal pressure on Wikipedia. All that's on there at the moment I got from James Randi's site and is mainly about people being fleeced financially and

QuotezeuszorHiya Kath. I am well familiar with the therapeutic community model and am a DAYTOP graduate. DAYTOP, in my experience, is a program that very much stresses the need for personal accountability and is HIGHLY confrontational to that end. Have you read Community and Growth by Vanier? L'Arche came out of that (therapeutic community) concept, and some wonderful principles for com
