PS I don't exclude myself from the bitchy / bastardy traits. Its part of the colour of human life - imagine Shakespeare if everyone was a clear light-filled jargon-sprouting holier-than-thou forever abundant prat! How boring life would be... but there's a huge difference between grandiose power-hungry trainers deliberatley engineering bad behaviour in others in order to control them, a

This is exactly the attitude of the trainers on inquest and I think it is th

QuoteThe program that is presented by Impact Trainings is the only one of it's type in the world. There is no similarity to the other LGAT programs anywhere in the world in 95% of the areas of focus and training. I just described, in detail, a lifeboat process that is exactly the same as the lifeboat on Impact - from a training in AFRICA! Did you not read it or is that a part of obj

fatherof3, Would you mind telling us more specifically what kind of comments and body posture from Hans put you off, and also more specifically what you learned on impact that was useful to you? Sometimes the devil (or the good) is in the detail, both for the positive and the negative. army-of-me, Thanks, its stressful writing about it so its good to know someone is finding it helpful.

 I found an old article about Landmark South Africa in Noseweek. Most of it is the usual history but this part is worth quoting. I'd love to know if anyone else has heard this story or knows anything about it: Quote DON’T TIBET ON IT Some of the “graduates” of David Ure, once a Landmark seminar leader in Cape Town, have been firing up their recruiting with the story of

Corboy, thanks for pointing this out. I agree this is a big piece of how they manipulate people. Even on the Landmark video, you see the woman being humiliated and the audience laughing. If you don't laugh at the leader's jokes you are generally accused of being an intellectual asshole or you get told to 'get over yourself' or 'your ego is getting in the way'.

Hello fatherof3, I can relate to what you're saying because its exactly what I would have said if I'd found this forum after doing Quest (South Africa). I remember feeling lighter and more relaxed, more open to fun and less concerned about what people think of me. I thought Quest was great. Unfortunately since then I've learnt differently. Yes, its definitely heavily influenced by Scientology. The question is whether it really is only a case of people like Erhard 'stealing' the 'technology' or a behind-the-scenes arrangement with scientology to sell the same crap to people who don't want their scientology delivered through a church, either because they have other religions or because they are anti-religi

As for people mimicking the trainers after the training - Skeptic quoted this on another thread: QuoteThe ideal tyranny is that which is ignorantly self-administered by its victims. The murders in Australia was committed by a 25 year old woman, who is the daughter of scientologists who were opposed to her taking anti-psychotic medication. Hi Corboy, I agree with what you're saying but the lgat I was involved with used "vulnerability" a lot; "make yourself vulnerable" was one of their most-used phrases. They pushed us to make ourselves vulnerable by taking risks and showing feelings and weaknesses and fears; and making us make fools of ourselves by doing stupid dances etc. They give a lot of positive

This is all fascinating. I also stumbled across some things about Heidegger, 'house philosopher of the third reich' on this thread: Seems he believed language creates reality and the correct use of language can create "authentic" reality. The other scientology concept used on quest is 'clearing'. Scientology has the concept of a 'clear' person: QuoteClear, a person audited enough to be free of the "bank," or reactive mind. In the next stage, TR-0 Bullbait, the student has to sit motionless, while the "c

Rs, this scientology technique sounds a lot a bit like the nothingness process at Klemmer that you described: QuoteA quick example is where you sit for over 45 minutes as a participant and being told to do exactly what you’re told to do, and to follow directions.
