And to think some of us grew up believing the center of the universe according

to Bill & Ted (Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure) was San Dimas, California.

I think Inyan Kara Mountain in the Black Hills of South Dakota or Navajo Mountain/Rainbow Bridge in Southern Utah are more “sacred centers” than Shiloh. At least at the former two sites you can meditate/wait in silence uninterrupted while for sure at Shiloh someone will immediately try to “Lord it over you,” weaseling their way into any inner peace you have between yourself and the Spirit.

Of course, I’m assuming nothing has really changed.

Scriptural admonition to be an example, not a micro-managing control freak:

1 Peter 5:3--
"nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock."

I like the above two posts. In Luke 22:25 Jesus also points out that those micro managing control freaks who lord it over those allotted to their charge also call themselves "benefactors"...in other words, the micro manager control freaks gain status as god like "benefactors" who exert their will on your life for your own good. That's the world's system; not the system of Christ as Jesus disapproved of that kind of status seeking.

I think all the LW sermons and songs about ruling and reigning with Christ were appealing to the congregation because by ruling and reigning we thought we would have status. Our whole culture and the way we were raised is based on seeking status. However, ruling with Christ is not about status, the upward flow, or being a benefactor who lords it over those allotted to your charge; rather, ruling with Christ is about serving the brethren, being lowly, washing the feet of the brethren. JRS used to say some folks won't like the kingdom because of the discipline; instead, I think some won't like it if being a ruler means serving and not status.

I mention it merely so we can celebrate the destruction of Satan on this day in 1984, as taught by G&M.

That's true--how could I forget a victory that significant? My bad!

A possible answer to the insecurity problem many struggle with while in TLWF:
"You’ll worry less about What 'Mom and Dad' think of you When you realize how seldom they do."
