UA. Welcome. I encourage you to read everything you can find about the Living Word. The old FactNET posts are interesting too.

A hearty welcome from me too, UA.
Feel free to post away. You're totally accepted...unless, of course, I don't agree with one of your comments, in which case I will see what I can do to get you banned forever from this forum.

Note: Change DaGain can be quite the kidder. And that's why we love him/her so much. Sometimes we have to laugh about it. It helps the healing.

My first thought/reaction when reading the above was, “Ah, not every church has submerged itself in the earth bound aberrant “Latter Rain Teachings” either, as well as specializing in mocking and chiding those who feel connected to the Great Invisible “Wildly Independent” Creator Father Spirit who transcends all human scrutiny, bounds and definition.

UA,

FCSLC's past posts are right on. The LW Fellowship teachings that are not scriptural are EMPTY WORDS. I sense you are seeing that. So what if the fellowship is nice to you. There's healthy churches out there that are nice too. Get out now before you life is ruined and your relationship with Jesus is sent sideways.

UA--
From my 21 year experience, this 'walk with God' is founded on strict obedience to church authority. So these very same sincere, loving people--should they be instructed to do so--could immediately adapt a cold & distant attitude toward you. I've witnessed it countless times, and experienced it myself. The Living Word doctrine of "Christ in the Flesh"--which in practice means that the words of the leaders are emphasized over an individual's interpretation of scripture, permeates the culture.
I agree with Lily Rose--look for a healthy church, respectful of the congregants. Don't allow yourself to be trapped.
I'm glad you've come forward to engage in a discussion with us.

Very well expressed changedagain. So true. I’ve witnessed this myself many times also. The old expression, “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” comes to mind. At one word from a leader the Bible is trashed and the Beatitudes are rescinded and abrogated. Vicious, vicious, vicious.

Yes, I agree with you FCSLC. You know changedagain, when you are not joking off with us, you really capture the inside skinny on the LWF.
