KRS ONE exposes hare krishna recruitment tactics here. Basically: We'll feed you if you help us recruit people... A multi-billion dollar organization that blows millions on building fancy temples to their colorful cast of mythological gods and sending their sanyasi gurus all around the world to tell people to chant a random mantra as well as get fed, massaged, bought expensive clothing and laptops and otherwise doted upon for prancing around in pink robes. Butler even figured that shit out where he doesn't have to do anything except live by the beach and apparently get astral blowjobs from his Polish female disciples.

"One day a group of Hare Krishnas came by the shelter and said if anybody wanted to help them hand out fliers about the religion, they would give that person a meal"...

And then we have hindus crying over rocks:

[religionnews.com]

21st century:

The mythology of Shaligrams is associated with two legends. The first is told in a series of three Hindu scriptures, the Varaha, Padma and Brahmavaivarta Puranas.
In each version of this story, the Hindu god Vishnu, believed to be the supreme creator, is cursed by the goddess Tulsi, who is also called Brinda, because he compromises her chastity. As the story is told, Vishnu disguised himself as her husband Jalandhar so that the god Shiva could kill the demon in a fight. This was because Jalandhar, born from Shiva’s third eye, had previously won a boon from the god Brahma that his wife’s chastity would keep him invincible in any battle.
Angry at the deception, Tulsi transformed herself into a river – the Kali Gandaki – and turned Vishnu into a river stone, a Shaligram. In this way, Vishnu would be continuously born from her, like a child, in repayment for the karmic debt of killing her husband and making her a widow.

I cringe that I used to literally worship and bow to these stones and glue little eyes on them so they could look me in the eye and let me know how dellusional I was...

What a great comment: [www.stereogum.com]

Taking the wool off to reveal the wolf she is. Like Butler hiding behind sweet krisna blah blah blah, everyone sees him for who he is. Those that still follow him are lost, sad, and beyond repair.

On one of the Polish FB profiles exposing the group, one of the members of the group living in Florida wrote that if they write a humble letter to the "guru", he may kindly explain their doubts. Good joke. The answer was that they would rather pet a dog, even an angry one, than "write a humble letter". Astounding arrogance, ignorance, stupidity, etc.

They should write a letter to him and they should question him Point by point on his actions starting from the late sixties all the way till now. It would be as long as his kitchen policy list.

Do you think it has any value? They will put effort into writing all the points and the "guru" will graciously reply? He probably won't answer, and if he does, it will be a bunch of half-truths and manipulations with emphasis on how "unpleasant" it is for him, maybe a few threats, etc. He would probably be confronted with the evidence anyway. There are plenty of testimonials.

Of course he would not reply. He's a world class loser and coward of the highest order.

The smiley street recruiters selling you blue ribbon bound copies of Bhagavad Gita As It Is will not tell you what they think of women (women are idiot baby factories) and that if you join them you'll be kissing fossil snail shells.

Shaligram stones are fossil shells left by distant relatives of today's chambered nautilus - a member of the squid/octopus family - cephalopods.

The many Hindu sects cherish shaligram stones of different shapes.

Here are the ISKCON Krishna stones for sale.

General info on purchasing shaligrams and a chart for recognizing the different types for devotional purposes.

An anthropologist wrote some great stuff about the culture surrounding worship of these stones.

However, as far as religious stricture goes, it is important to note that there is no central Scriptural authority detailing the worship of Shaligrams in either Hinduism or Buddhism. Instead, most Shaligram practitioners take a variety of texts to be authoritative when it comes to Shaligram worship; be they a combination of the Vedas, Puranas, Shastras, or other commentaries. The scriptural rules which govern Shaligram veneration also do not establish a set of rigid boundaries delineating the correct performance of rituals for Shaligrams. Rather, they speak of Shaligrams in more general terms and leave many of the specifics up to long-standing oral traditions or other ritual descriptions

Lastly, there is no standardized doctrinal consensus among Shaligram practitioners as a whole, and specific individuals may perform or participate in Shaligram rituals reflective of any range of traditions, be they Buddhist, Hindu, animist, specific to one’s guru lineage, or related to a local deity or practice-style. Even secular, agnostic, and scientific atheists have been known to take part in Shaligram ritual veneration.

There's no scriptural injunction for half the stuff they believe and do. NONE. All made up BS. Whenever there is some new belief or ritual introduced it's based on some vision or dream or all of a sudden some miraculous previously undiscoved "scripture" pops out of thin air in support of it all. It's a fucking joke amigos. And when you call them on it you're a hinduphobe and demon.

Obviouls primitive ancient people were anamoured and confused by the interesting markings of the rocks. Without anything to go off of scientifically, they made up some story about it's orgins. That's it. No great mystical transcendental revelation or mystery. In fact, if anythig, the actual scientific truth of the matter is more amazing and compellign than an myth could conjour up.

Great links, corboy—thanks! I like the saligrams for sale and in general dieties for sale.

Just imagine what it looked like all those millions of years ago when clouds of those coil shelled tentacled cephalopods were swarming the oceans...

You are so right that science exhibits marvels beyond our wildest dreams:)

A few days ago was the disappearance day of
Bindeshwar Pathak (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/aug/16/bindeshwar-pathak-toilet-man-who-revolutionised-sanitation-in-india-dies-at-80), who has accomplished more than Chaitanya, the 6 Goswamis, Bhaktivedanta swami, and Butler combined... [www.sulabhinternational.org]

You know what India has always struggled with and lacked? Toilet access. This prabhu helped to try to solve that.

You know what India has not had a shortage of or struggled with? Cults, chanting of random mantras and myths out the wazoo. Eve in the time of the epileptic chaitanya saint there was no shortage of kirtan, chanting or overt expressions of fanatical devotion in assorted religious groups. so it's not like he was starting something unique or useful that was not already going on.

What chaitanya did prompt is much of the same neo-vedic BS that was already rampant in India at the time anyway. Things like mysogonistic views on women that are still being dealt with to this very day: [www.theguardian.com]

Ironically most if not all such language and ideology about women has its origins in the scriptures. Bhaktivedanta and his guru were no strangers to saying the most toxic bullshit about women, black people, gay people etc etc...

Ironically, their own cult is full of controversial women leader figures like the so-called wife (one of a few) of Nityananda, Janahva Devi who was divergent on her husbands "siddhanta" as soon as he was dead. In fact, all the faction off-shoots of the so-called Gaiudiya Vaishnava tradition were all divergent on major siddhantic points almost before the chaitanya saint even died (even unable to agree on how exactly he died, when he died and if he was even a divinity etc etc...

It took little to no time at all before sex-crazed babajis used the very words of the disciples of chaitanya (a strong word since he was not a formal diksha guru with no record of actual initiations—parampara anyone? Unbroken lineages anyone????) to create sahajoya sects. YET, it is undeniable that at the core and the final word of this cult is "majari bhava". The big "hush hush" ideology that everyone wants to talk about, but can't, but does anyway, blah blah blah...

The point is, enjoy the scrambled eggs religion this is. But for our purposes, today, it is like any other religion, more concerned about money making and building temples than anything truly unique or esoteric.

RUN... or walk quickly, whatever works, just create distance before they swallow you whole and make a hole in your head.
