Chaitanya Mission, an offshoot of Butler's Science of Identity Foundation in the Philippines (operational since I was a child in the cult) has an FB page that literally has NO quotes from hei own Vaishnva (let alone gaudiya vaishnva) texts. None. It is litered with quotes from the Christian bible and Butler's lectures.
https://www.facebook.com/chaitanyamission/I find this ironic. But it was largely the same when I was growing up in the cult. They like to cater to the Christian mindset, but the cult beliefs and practices have NOTHING to do with Christianity at all. ZERO.
Gaudiya Vaishnavas believe that 500 years ago, epileptic fringe Bengali saint Chaitanya was an incarnation of the god Krishna and the more recently invented, not mentioned in their own top scriptures, goddess Radha.
None of their scriptures or texts even hint at Jesus or Christianity. NONE. It is literally not even a slight aspect of their faith. Mind you, it was not as if there was no Christians in India when Chaitanya started his cult, nor is it as if Christianity was not vastly prevalent in India and all over the known world by the time the chaitanya saint was jumping around in dusty streets in idea falling on the ground and frothing at the mouth in "ecstasy"...
So cults like Butler's Chaitanya Mission and Science of Identity Foundation have basically used divisive and underhanded methods of appealing and preaching to the public about what they really believe and follow.
Bhaktivedanta did the same thing. He painted his cult as a "universal" "non-sectarian" religious group. All while asking his followers to shave their heads, live at ashrams and temples, un-educate their kids and separate them from families, and spread divisive fear against even his own spiritual masters cult.
This stuff is tragically laughable. Mainly cause NO ONE in these cults admits or sees it. Not one of them will ever explicitly tell you that the top-most offering and ambition/hope/desire of each cult member is to have a "realization of one's true spiritual body as a 12-year-old cowherd milk maiden in the eternal cow-infested spiritual Disney land of Goloka Vrindavan in a galaxy far far away...."
In fact, it has become so watered down and diluted in modern times as far as what they really believe and teach that one would, at best, mistake it as a Christian group that likes to meditate and do yoga...
They pretend that they are non-sectarian and that one can achieve the same "goal of life" as their cult offers by chanting "any name of god with sincere devotion and love!"... yet, when was the last time you went to kirtan and heard devotees chanting to Ra and Zeus and Allah???
RUN. Study, learn, and stay hungry for knowledge, but by all means, RUN as far as you can from these destructive and mentally handicapping cults that ask you to believe that some white old fart is being served hand and foot in an ocean-side Hawaiian mansion is is your one and only connection to "god." Read and try to understand and be realistic about the scriptures in your own religious traditions. Know the history of the people who are in positions of power within your spiritual group. It is your job and your job alone to make sure that you are not being fooled and wasting your life.
RUN.
