For interest, one can look up how a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony
is conducted. Bear in mind that there are a multitude of subtle variations
based on caste and the part of the country the families originate from.

Hindu wedding garb for men can be elaborate - and can include white clothes.
Clothes are important for the bride, the groom
and for guests.
Indian weddings are
formal affairs, and unless this
is a very modern ceremony, guests are expected to dress in the Indian Hindu equivalent of formal attire, or formal attire for their own countries.
If you are invited to a Hindu (or Muslim) wedding, you have been trusted
to be on your finest behavior. Take care to call the families and get advice on how to dress and whether to bring a gift. (Doing so could be a gaffe)
The Hindu groom often but not always wears a white tunic or coat, often silk with embroidery, with a
dhoti (elaborate skirt length loin cloth) or very tight trousers called
churidar. The groom is often dressed to look
like a prince.
Hindu brides usually wear red. This has been the custom for centuries.
By tradition, the bride brings a dowry to the groom's family. This includes
jewelry, which remains the bride's property through life and could be
her sole fall back in old age. At Hindu weddings brides usually wear
a whopping amount of jewelry and as much as possible must be at gold,
usually 22 K and up.
Possibly in a very modern Hindu wedding, the bride would wear some other
color than red.

One thing interesting is that the photos given here show the bride wearing simple flower garlands, and none of the gold jewelry considered important to a traditional wedding.
