Anyone trying to break away from Mooji risks getting sudden
Mooji pix and reminders on their phones.

I get unwanted Mooji pop up advertising on my phone because of what I research.

Trying to forget Mooji and don't want reminders? Go to your phone and other digital devices and clean out your browsing history, cache and cookies.

Algorithms and Search Engine Optimization are used against us. Show any interest in meditation, yoga, etc and you will be fed search results and ads for lots of egoistic gurus who employ internet PR specialists.

Great points corboy.
As he's indoctrinated so many with images of his own "holiness", it's no doubt difficult for people to leave such a cult of personality.

For some time, it's been clear that Mooji has narcissistic personality disorder. He's clearly in love with his own image. Here's a quick paragraph on this from a site on NPD

"People with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) are in love with an idealized, grandiose image of themselves. And they're in love with this inflated self-image precisely because it allows them to avoid deep feelings of insecurity. But propping up their delusions of grandeur takes a lot of work—and that's where the dysfunctional attitudes and behaviors come in."

All the incessant photos of Mooji they put out are just ways for him to avoid his deep insecurity. It's rather sad, that he's ruining people's lives just because he never had therapy.

I just saw the netflix series about "how to" be a cult leader. They got it spot on and did their home work a real blue print to Monte Sahaja aka mooji cashram.
A sea of red flags abound in such flurry that you would need a work sheet to sort it all out. Mooji btw looks old ad frail these days, internal updates are guarded.
He was seen at the local church recently and sat like a old man bent over his stick. He lost weight and has separated from the swedish woman. The head count at the Ashram is way down to levels of about 8 years ago. Officailly closed but they keep inviting people ( with money ). The sighn on the road has been taken down and often locals are stopped and asked directions.....tbc

Also In the local village the story is that more Real Estate has been purchased. 1 More flag...

I have heard about the farmers around seem upset because they found out the Monascarry has more than 35 water holes sucking up more water than anyone else around. I guess he needs it for the many fish ponds. Meanwhile the few that are left up there are only allowed one bucket for a shower. Flag.

Also he gives secrete satsangs where he starts targeting certain people he doesn't like. In one such video he went as far as 'this and that persone should not come into your house!'

Now this brings two huge flags again. First this os done in secrete, which is really like a kind of mafia, who else needs all these secretes?

The second problem is the whole idea that they are better than someone else...
Selected Social process, in the end just another big red flag.Us and them, classic cult 101,

I supoose at this stage one could argue, Anthony moojiyung has made a text book of how to be a guru in 2020 (with social media etc...)

The money held in total assets has surpassed 10 million eu.And those are just the official numbers.

Recently "Shree" (Mooji's version of Anand Sheela) posted a letter:

"Online Disinformation & Slander"

[mooji.org]

They're clearly upset that there is a huge amount of new followers at the facebook group: Mooji Exposed - Behind The Satsangs (The Hidden Aspects)
There have been more than a thousand new followers in one week alone, almost 8000 total now

It's a good group. People used to come here to share their negative experiences, not they're doing it under their own name. All the greatest hits of his cult videos are linked there, plus Be's article, plus a link to this forum.

Scrolling through the comments on that fb page, you can see a whole lot of people were never aware of all the abusive and disturbing things that are associated with Mooji.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Going forward let's see if the Facebook group has as good or better protection from trolls than the this discussion thread:)

The exposes really began 5 years ago when a single brave individual stepped forward.

Apparently there has been an attempted suicide at Mooji's ashram in Portugal.
Details are slim, but it sounds like the person was taken to hospital, and is still alive.

No doubt they've all been told to not speak of this!

If anyone knows anything about this, but doesn't want to go public, feel free to pm me.

I knew someone who did commit suicide who was deeply into Mooji, so perhaps I could offer some private thoughts.

thanks

Sahara71 posted the following here on September 11, 2019:

"If anyone who has been personally adversely effected by the Mooji cult, then you can raise your concerns with the U.K. Charity Commission.

The Mooji Foundation are a registered charity, which is how they maintain a tax-free status and hoard all the money. However, they are legally held accountable to how they treat their volunteers.

Take a look at this link: [forms.charitycommission.gov.uk]

If you are suffering psychological distress form your time in this cult (or any cult) then please contact your trusted local doctor for a referral to a trained, experienced, registered psychologist who can help you to heal."

Hopefully in the four years since that post, some people have wrote directly to the charity.

Yesterday, I saw that someone has started a petition calling for the Charity Commission for England and Wales to
investigate the Mooji Foundation Ltd and revoke their Charity status.

This is a great, solid thing we can do to shut down this abusive fraud.

I've checked, and you can choose not to display your name when you sign.
So, if you've "got out" and want to help shut him down, you can do so anonymously.

If you've been following this saga, and want to add a comment to the petition you can. So far there are great comments showing up.

The appearance of this petition is great news for all of us who have been trying to expose Mooji for years!

Go here to sign the petition: [www.change.org]

I was a 'follower' between 2008 and about 2013, I observed a few times that Mooji's crowd occasionally attracted people who were clearly in need of psychiatric treatment. I found the plight of some of these people very worrying, and I am also saddened to hear of any suicide or attempt from amongst Mooji's followers. During my time as an adherent, at some stage the team appeared to start to try to put measures in place to manage this, such as putting messages on the event info that people should not seek to come to Satsang as a treatment for psychiatric illness and that this is not what Mooji's teachings are for. I seem to recall there was even a questionnaire that was deployed at times. The problem is of course that the wording in some of the non-duality teachings suggests it could be a cure for psychiatric illness, and therefore this gives rise to a fair amount of people who would naturally assume that a Mooji Satsang might help their mental illness, and would want to take part because of that. I am not trying to bypass the possibility that this could be caused by cult abuses, but just to point out that there were quite a few followers from the start that were clearly in the wrong place for what they were suffering from, and this type of 'cult' or 'organisation', whatever you want to call it, has always attracted those people. The cult may itself not be the direct initial cause of this individual's illness. But the cult is never equipped to be able to deal with it. And cults have a tendency to try apply their own dogmatic practices to such an individual in such as way as to exacerbate this person's health problems, and put them at further risk.

Dear Readers,

I'd like to direct everyone's attention to an interesting discussion going on on social media. It's from a Facebook page called "Mooji Exposed- Hidden Aspects Behind the Satsungs ( Eye Opener)"

There is an ex-member of Mooji's cult posting about her experiences in the group - her mane is "Amy" - quite possibly not her real name, as you know how people do like to protect their privacy once they have disengaged from a harmful cult.

I shall copy and paste her comments:

"...I left Moojis Ashram 8 years ago, I was very involved for some times, I felt all of this but I hardly spoke to anyone, and everyone inside of his Ashram is completely brainwashed, so there’s hardly any point in speaking to them. The ones he had enough of, he threw away, and you will never hear from them either. Weird. Anyway. Such is life, we all have to walk our own path."

"...nothing wrong with being a man who likes women, but just don’t control everyone else’s lives, break up relationships, say who can marry who etc etc, all the while humiliating your wife in front of a whole community and enjoying having the sex love and rock and roll you want. Seems a little bit twisted of you ask me! Get everyone to build your ashram for free, keep them there for years under false pre-tenses and then throw them all out because they are not enlightened enough! By which time everyone is conveniently brain washed enough to just take it and say, ‘it’s all for my own good’. Maybe it is, I’m still working it all out."

"Yes Mooji was a predatory man, especially before he became famous. Everybody knew that and many have accounts of him preying on quite young vulnerable girls. I stayed away from him for a long time because of this whilst many of my friends were attending his Satsangha.

He was portraying something to the outside world that he couldn’t uphold himself, having very high expectations of his students for a long period of time. This created a big mess, for a lot of people. He was moving people around like a chess game, to fit his agenda. Again, typical narcissist.

The most amazing thing, is that the people who he kept close, who happened to be the most submissive to his demands, are starting to emerge, and have no idea how most of the people he threw away were affected. Mainly because they didn’t care, and it was more important that they were kept close and didn’t lose their spot, which was highly precarious! Amazing actually, that people allow these things, but also very interesting why people engage in these dynamics. Having been out for 8 years, I can see all of this and I have been through a huge process looking at the mechanics of how I ended up in this. Not a particularly healthy dynamic.

Yes he did humiliate his wife, in a monumental way, proclaiming that she was too attached whilst he was openly cheating on her with Krishnabai, and Samadhi, two conveniently attractive busty Swedish girls. Why couldn’t he just own it all, all the while convincing Rahda that she was imagining it all.

Anyhow, even though her parents bought the land he lives on, she had to leave. Excellent deal he recently threw the rest of the unworthy participants who had conveniently built his ashram for him for free, so that he can live with the people who are really there, only for Satsangha and awakening! As they are so brainwashed that they all think it’s for their highest good! Amazing!"

"...I was around Mooji since 2003, In also lived with him and spent many years working in his organisation. I lost a whole Sangha of friends and things got weird, just put it that way. It’s only now that I’m not in it that I can say that. He also constantly encouraged people not to have relationships, and said it was a distraction from Satsangha etc etc, amazingly when he gave everyone permission to have relationships and children there was a baby boom and he didn’t want children in his Ashram! Ridiculous looking back, how people are so obedient! And it’s taken me many years to be able to say that. It’s also taken until now to have contact with even one person that stayed with him, because everyone is so brainwashed. Not good."
