Question about eating.

Can anybody, ex-members - say what Uma and her group eat and why? Is it restrictive? When I had 2 meals with Uma and her group we were in a cafe in Ubud but I dont remember but many of the people were very thin.

Uma writing on her facebook page below copy - my interpretation is - here she says she thinks the damage caused to people to be 'simply stunning'. ! and experientail research - she says she is expereimenting. !

I know 2 people affected. One who left and had a very bad experience. The other person is still in Uma Inder group and stopped writing to me when I asked about the sound recordings in Be Scofield article.

It’s been decades of experiential research of Kundalini emergence in hundreds of practitioners in varying environments worldwide.

The yield of insights and affirmations is simply stunning. As you can imagine, it’s a wealth of raw data and resources for advancing self inquiry and viable presence.

Today, the question asked of me most regularly, is how to healthily stabilise the free, spontaneous expression of un-compartmentalised coursing of Kundalini.

Ancient ”yogic sciences” have long specialised in transferring tested knowledge of nurturing the innate, micro factors of bio-electric being, even while circulating with the outer, the other, the greater.

Honoured to be rooted by birth and lifetime practice in the ”yogic sciences”, I am responding to the call to accompany fellow practitioners and prime for the “ocean into the drop”.

Uma Inder in this article :

Anke Richter article

One of the original testimonials of Vartman‘s alleged sexual abuse came from Matthias Schwenteck, who once was the sex guru’s co-teacher as TNT was starting out. The somatic consent coach from Berlin experienced the other side of Be Scofield’s work when a friend of his, Bali-based Ayurvedic healer Uma Inder, was in the firing line last year as the “Yoga Barn guru.” “Just because I only know the good side of someone doesn’t mean these things don’t happen,” says Schwenteck on a call from the Netherlands. “In her case and others, I have seen it lead to more accountability. It’s a cleansing process.”

That’s an insightful and well documented article about what she calls the “creepy vibe that appears to be slithering over yoga mats across the planet”. Thanks for posting.

When I first heard Christians say that yoga opened people to demonic forces, I thought the idea was ridiculous. It’s interesting that the writer now says that yoga needs to address its “demons”! I’m reminded too of Swami Vivekananda’s view that hatha yoga wasn’t really Spirituality at all. In the century since then, yoga has undergone a massive sanitization to make it all look like healthy fun.

TRAUMATIC ABUSE IN CULTS: A PSYCHOANALYTIC PERSPECTIVE

By Daniel Shaw

“Using his own ten-year experience in Siddha Yoga under the leadership of Gurumayi, the author presents psychoanalytic conceptualizations of narcissism in an effort to develop a way of understanding cult leaders and their followers, and especially of traumatic abuse in cults from the follower's perspective. A psychoanalytically informed treatment approach for working with recovering cult followers is proposed, consisting of providing: 1) an understanding of the leader's extreme dependence on the follower's submission and psychological enslavement; 2) a clear, firm, and detailed understanding of the leader's abusiveness; and 3) an exploration of normative and/or traumatic developmental issues for the follower, as part of a process of making sense of and giving meaning to the follower's experience.”
