Re: Nicole Daedone, OneTaste NYC member rigging Wikipedia entry

regarding Wikipedia being rigged by OneTaste, and also Lafayette Morehouse.
Wikipedia seems to be moving toward being controlled by members of these types of cultish groups, so they can control related entries.

[forum.culteducation.com]

As mentioned already, Jimmy Wales and Reese Jones seem to have a connection too.

'Lord of the Universe' disciple exits Wikipedia
Scientologists entrench

By Cade Metz in San Francisco
Posted in Music and Media, 9th January 2009 21:27 GMT

The human comedy that is Wikipedia just lost one of its more intriguing players.

Late December saw the departure (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jossi) of uber-administrator Jossi Fresco, a longtime member of a worldwide religious movement that Time Magazine lists among the mega-cults of the 1970s, the heyday of the mega-cult.

Fresco retired after another contributor - known only as "Durova" - publicly questioned (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Durova/Scientology_arbitration/Jossi_evidence) his Wikibehavior. Durova launched an ad hoc investigation into Fresco's on-site habits in response to a February article (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/02/06/the_cult_of_wikipedia/) from The Register.
...
Fresco is a student of Prem Rawat - formerly Guru Maharaj Ji - the India-born spiritual leader who styled himself as the "Perfect Master" and fostered a worldwide religious movement encouraging followers to call him "Lord of the Universe." Fresco has acknowledged that he works for an organization "related" to Prem Rawat, and according to an ex-Rawat-follower and former friend, he served on the guru's personal staff, building his first website.

Wikipedia fancies itself a "neutral" encyclopedia. But for years, Jossi Fresco maintained strict control over the site's Prem Rawat article and countless related articles. When our initial story appeared, the Wikipedia Prem Rawat article did not include the word cult.
...
That said, Fresco played a significant role in shaping those guidelines. Shortly after Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines were drafted in October 2006, for instance, he removed a section that forbade guru followers from editing articles about their masters.

In the wake of our February article, Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy "Jimbo" Wales called Fresco "a great Wikipedian (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Jimbo_Wales&diff=prev&oldid=190110417)." Fresco has contributed more edits to Wikipedia than all but 80 other people. And he was particularly influential when it came to editing site guidelines and policies.

"Jossi ranks among the top three editors by contributions to three out of the four key content policies," a senior admin told us in February. "What makes this remarkable is that two of those policies have been in existence since Wikipedia was founded, long before he got involved, so he's made enough recent edits to catch up."

The latest Wikievidence against Fresco was posted after he attempted to intervene in a Wikicourt trial involving the Church of Scientology. According to site administrators, several pro-Scientology accounts have been editing the site using Scientology-owned computers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Scientology/Evidence#Conflict_of_interest).

One of these pro-Scientology editors - who once used the handle "COFS" - has admitted as much. And he vows to continue editing Scientology articles from Scientology computers. "I am not going to leave voluntarily and I will continue to use a) my own computer, b) public computers, c) my wireless laptop, d) computers in the Church of Scientology and any station I please," this editor wrote.

And so the human comedy continues. ®

ALL OF THESE LINKS ARE NOW DEAD, and the cache has been wiped.
Since posted in the last couple weeks, they have gone dead, and the Nicole Daedone entry appears to have been deleted.

There are also some links at this site, Mobissimo.
It looks like Reese Jones is Nicole's one and only MobiFriend. Press PEOPLE.

One also must notice that Reese Jones does NOT have a Wikipedia entry. Why not? He owns and runs many companies and has been very active in the internet for decades in dozens of areas.

Netopia, his former company he founded, has a Wikipedia entry. [en.wikipedia.org]
But they don't mention Reese Jones.

[en.wikipedia.org]
Its the same Wikipedia entry as Farralon Computing, which was Reese Jones company, but they don't mention Reese Jones.

Reese started BMUG, Berkeley Macintosh Users Group, and that seems to be his only mention in the entire Wikipedia.
[en.wikipedia.org]

That is all highly suspicious, someone needs to enter the founder of the company into Wikipedia.
He is also involved in dozens of techie areas, which normally are all mentioned in Wikipedia for anyone else.

There is one tiny reference that Reese Jones is linked to the Wikipedia as a "group".
Reese Jones’s Groups: ASE NEO Policy, Chabot Space Science Center, Wikipedia

Is Reese Jones involved at all in the hidden management/ownership or venture capital of Wikipedia? (who is?)
Is there a Reese Jones blackout at Wikipedia? Why isn't his name mentioned anywhere for anything?

Notice how the wikipedia for One Taste was allowed to be completely rewritten by a random person, in a very biased and grammatically poor fashion, and no one touched it until a couple days ago. Now it reads even more like an Advertisment, and it uses the word cult, but only to deny One Taste is a cult.
[en.wikipedia.org]
Someone higher up in the wikipedia Admin food chain must have approved it carte blanche. As the article makes no sense. It starts out saying OneTaste is for-profit, then later says its anti-capitalist.
Its a OneTaste advertisement.

This Wikipedia thing stinks pretty bad.
No one seems to know who are the actual investors behind it. Alleged are: (Bessemer Venture Partners, Dan Gillmor, The Omidyar Network, Pierre Omidyar, Mark Andreessen, Reid Hoffman, Joichi Ito, Mitch Kapor)
There seems to be a stink out there about the investors and venture capital sources for Wikipedia Wikimedia Foundation.

and Wikimedia is headed in San Francisco.

Just as an aside, Jimmy Wales, and the other owners of Bomis.com were behind Wikipedia until 2003.

"Bomis.com produced a free soft-porn site titled Bomis Babe Report[2] and a membership soft porn site at [premium.bomis.com]. They are no longer online"

Clearly, wikipedia has serious cultish group Admin problems, and some secret venture capital investor questions. Who knows which people are behind the private venture capital.

Hmm, lets see...
San Francisco, venture capital, internet technology, sex cults, aging geeks from the 60's who are now millionaires...

From the above VC list linked allegedly with Wikipedia, Reid Hoffman and Mitch Kapor have a few links with Reese Jones, who seems to be involved in all sorts of VS groups.
"Reese is a strategic partner in several venture capital groups, including Telesoftvc, Accel, and August."

This link also appears to state that Reese Jones was a "brain researcher".

Hell-OO!
I like The Web is at the intersection of publishing and the telephone, from today's DaveNet. For years I've believed that the Net is an evolutionary expansion of telephony, an idea I owe to Reese Jones, the brain researcher who founded Farallon Computing (now Netopia) and invented the original PhoneNet connector. Those connectors turned any bunch of Macs into a peer-to-peer LAN.

This from the OneTaste Wikipedia entry:

Quote

..."orgasmic meditation" — involving partially-clothed, i.e. pantsless, mutual masturbation in a large group — and naked yoga.

Many of OneTaste's longer-term members appear to be in open relationships with their boyfriends or girlfriends to leave room for opportunities of fully-involved and guilt-free sex with other people.

How do such behaviors alter the way a woman relates to a man (a man who has no knowledge of onetaste) who is a respectful gentleman and views her as a close romantic friend and lover? Is she more "primed" or "programed" to be promiscuous or lower her guard toward sexual advances? Or will she be able to "turn off" the programing long enough to dupe him into believing she is some sort of "good girl" who is worthy of respect? How would she bring up the fact that she willfully takes off her pants among groups of men who are relative strangers and permits them to stroke her vagina? Or that she lives in a place that encourages random sex and all that behavior is merely "experimental" and makes her a better person and better girlfriend?

Nicole Daedone, OneTaste, "NOT a safe place for single women"

There are some new critical reviews of OneTaste Urban Retreat Center at Yelp.
A recent one is archived below, as they seem to be getting some negative reviews censored and removed from Yelp.
Its interesting that the "homeless people" work is identical with Vic Baranco and Lafayette Morehouse years ago, as mentioned previously in the thread.

There are many people who appear quite injured by OneTaste, and its important to keep a review up from someone who states the warning...

Nicole Daedone, Reese Jones, NYT, "CULTLIKE POWERS OVER HER FOLLOWERS"
Posted by: The Anticult ()

well, well, well...the grand old lady the New York Times has reprinted a infotainment "article" advertisement on OneTaste and Nicole Daedone.
Its like reading this forum, but without hard facts, and more advertising copy.
Clearly, this is one of those "articles" where some PR company, well connected and VERY expensive, mines their Rolodex to get a story done, to shape the PR image of their clients. Its funny how that works after the real facts start coming out in internet forums. Go figure.

The Pleasure Principle
By PATRICIA LEIGH BROWN and CAROL POGASH
Published: March 13, 2009 SAN FRANCISCO
[www10.nytimes.com]
Notice they had it put into the FASHION section right at the TOP OF THE PAGE. You have to wonder how that works...how the PR company finds the friendly writers at the paper, and gets them to write what they want them to write, and then get the top placement from the page Editor. It does make one wonder how that system works. But it says SAN FRANCISCO at the top, so one assumes they know how to get their local SF puff-piece top billing in the NYT Fashion page.

It reminds one of the PR pieces that pretend to be "articles" in the local SF papers, which one can probably get in exchange for a hooker, blow and a brown envelope. (or maybe a free prostate OM massage?)

Of course, they do a minor nod to the serious questions about OneTaste, like bad old Victor Baranco and his Mindfucking Mind Control techniques while running an abusive sex cult as documented in this thread. (hey, why don't they cite their reference for the Vic Baranco tip!)
and this is what they say about Daedone...

NYT on Nicole Daedone:
"some former members say she has cultlike powers over her followers. They say she sometimes strongly suggested who should pair off with whom romantically."
..."detractors regard her as a master manipulator"...

Hey NYT, why not follow that up? Ya think? "CULTLIKE POWERS OVER HER FOLLOWERS". That is a clue, one might want to research and flesh out. (at least they appear to have interviewed some former OneTaste people, so thumbs up for that, at least).

They mention some bullshit about a Ray Vetterlein, which is a distraction Red Herring. Its quoted in this fucking thread where Daedone's partner Robert Kandell said she studied Vic Baranco for 7 years!!! Then they removed it from the internet, after it was mentioned.
Nice fact checking, NYT Fashion dept.

They do confirm that Reese Jones is the moneybags behind the operation. Seems that I read that somewhere before...like in this fucking thread! Thanks again NYT Fashion Dept. for a great research job!
QUOTE:
"Now she lives with Mr. Jones, her boyfriend, a braniac who sold a computer software company he founded, Netopia, to Motorola for $208 million, and makes financial resources available to One Taste, including helping to buy a retreat in Stinson Beach, Calif."

dear lordy lord, Reese Jones is going to look in the mirror one day in a few years and kick himself in the ass repeatedly for his quote in the NYT, in this article. Are you ready?

QUOTE from Reese Jones:
"Reese Jones, a venture capitalist-slash-geek-slash Ms. Daedone’s boyfriend, likens orgasmic meditation to massage.
“It’s a procedure to nourish the limbic system, like yoga or Pilates, with no other strings attached,” he said. “When you go to a massage therapist,” he added, “you don’t take the masseuse to dinner afterward.”

Ah yes, the limbic system. When a man gets older, often the "limbic system" does need some massaging. And it also needs a red convertible, and a case of Viagra.
But it depends what kind of "massage therapist" one goes to, so they say. There are some in NYC who do a full "limbic" massage for $40 these days, with a finisher.
(sorry, can't resist...you can put lipstick on a pig...but its still a pig).

Anyway, there are a few decent points in the article, but they are clearly put in there to try to disarm the criticisms and objections about OneTaste and Nicole Daedone. Its a clever strategy, you admit that certain critics said _____, and then pump up some advertising spin right after. You say some call it a cult, admit to some cultic Guru practices, and then disarm those objections, by saying now everything is different.

But who knows what they are smoking over there at OneTaste.
They actually think masses of people are going to join a sex-commune "cult" run for profit in NYC?
Someone with a lot of money to burn ain't thinking too clearly, perhaps the blood flow has been somewhat diverted from an otherwise intelligent mind.

But on a serious note...why did the NYT Fashion lifestyle stylists, completely ignore the questions about young women allegedly being taken advantage of?

Why did they ignore asking questions about the alleged orgies, and the "open relationships"?
They make it sounds like a love relationship seminar for yuppie couples. Why don't they tell the truth about that?
Why did they just print that Naked Yoga is cancelled, there is no touching, and everyone at OneTaste is now Mother Theresa? What a load of rubbish.

Why always with the PR propaganda?
Why not just be honest?
But no, they want to clean it up, and make it sound like Leave It To Beaver.

That is the problem with these types of culty sex groups. They advertise Spiritual Sensual Massage, but that ain't what its about. Any idiot can see that, have a look at the facts.

Its a clone of a sex-cult for profit.
Is mixing sex, mind-control cult techniques, and profit, a good idea?
Sex for profit with sophisticated group persuasion techniques?

Again, these sex-groups always try to act like they are the most HONEST people on earth, unlike the unwashed masses who lie about the nature of sex.
Meanwhile, their advertising is the most dishonest thing one can think of. Its outright deception.
