lily rose. I like your last post, zooming in on the effects of indoctrination. Acts 17:11 --- I’m glad the Bible praises the Bereans. This is an authorization to test things. How in the world can a person watch out for false prophets, teachings and Christs if questioning becomes taboo? If the Spirit searches all things (I Cor 2:10) then it is part of our very makeup to follow suit (I

lily rose posted: I do like it when the big guns show up in these posts because we should test all things by the Scripture, even God's "anointed". The Bereans were praised for scrutinizing even the words of the apostle Paul (Acts 17:11). I don't think that anyone's teachings and actions are beyond scriptural examination; it's so Biblical. ------------------------

lily rose quoted II COR 2:17 --- Unlike so many, we do not peddle the Word of God for profit. --------------------------- Wikipedia says this letter to the church at Corinth was written by Paul roughly from AD 53 to 57. It’s actually becoming a blessing to be gone from “The Walk.” Escaping was liberating, but being fully convinced in all aspects is much better. There’s enough support coming from many angles on this forum, enough biblical verses coming to light and sound, intelligent theology to win the debate for discarding and moving beyond TLWF/JRS literature. This means we can’t be labeled as “rebellio

I was reading Hebrews 12:18-24 in The New American Standard Bible. The caption between verse 17 and 18 reads, “Contrast of Sinai and Zion.” TLWF is as scary and menacing as Sinai; fire, darkness, gloom, whirlwind and instant rejection/death for the slightest infraction. I’m of the persuasion they’re more Old Covenant than New, especially regarding hierarchy.

Time to get out of Dodge when the Lead Shepherd has a Bible in one hand and a gun in the other; it reminds me of Abiathar, the only priest to escape the treachery of King Saul of Israel who massacred the very Priests of Yahweh for his own political reasons. History seems to repeat itself, even in the church. (I Samuel 22:13-22)

Lilly rose I like the way "Pagan Christianity?"
