John, I appreciate your contributions here. I have always posted on the Impact Trainings section. On March 18, 2020, at the very beginning of the U.S. Covid-19 shutdown, I posted wondering what the impact on Impact Trainings would be if they could no longer mass/in-person "train." They have shifted to offering virtual training. Could it be that economic laws during the pandemic wi

There are two bits of good news coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic. The impact on Impact and other LGATs will be devastating. Also since viruses do not do well in hot weather, global warming may be just what we need for a while.

Right on Wulfenar! Your report on Impact gets a big "amen" from me and I'm sure thousands of others. Impact suffered a big economic reversal by the recession of 2008. They have expansion ambitions again as evidenced by initiatives in St. George and Boise. May truth prevail.

MODERATOR: Note that the SL Tribune link here is about the Manager of Impact Trainings, Ward Bushman. You will want to read the article. Bushman's bad publicity is extremely bad news for the LGAT Impact Trainings. Also, should not the posting on Impact Trainings in Utah be consolidated with this subject?

It's great that the lost data is now restored. There is much valuable information in the previously lost portion. This should resonate with LDS folks, who will recall the lost 116 pages of the Book of Mormon. A recent sample of 11 days on this thread shows about 36 hits per day, which shows that there is still interest in Impact Trainings. Impact continues to try to expand their

The Impact Process, at least when I was exposed to it, taught that "understanding" was the booby prize of the Universe. This was in direct conflict with the Book of Proverbs in the Old Testament. They also taught that there was no absolute right or wrong, only what works and what does not work. Perhaps they would recommend that all CTR rings be modified to CWW rings. That is, Choose

I once had a wild automobile ride with a person who was deeply involved with with a LGAT, specifically Impact Trainings/ Life Mastery Trainings (LMT). I'll just call this person LMT Trainee/Graduate or LMTTG for short. LMTTG and I were driving on a freeway, with LMTTG at the wheel. LMTTG began doing around 100 mph, and I anxiously demanded a slower, reasonable speed. LMTTG said that ther

spiritual? has helped me to understand an incident of rhythmic chanting that I accidently overheard once just before one of Impact's All Graduates Trainings. There was a group of LMT ( I call it Largely Malignancy Trainng) trainees sequestered in a room, and they were working up their enthusiasm for staffing the about to begin free, annual All Grads Training. I see now that they were usin

The above link will take you to an amazing report on new research that explains the out of body experience as a 'myth." Scientists can now replicate this experience by stimulating a particular part of the brain. This research is relevant to Impact because they have Jeff Olsen, author of a new book, "I knew Their Hearts." in their circle of staff. This book has been g

Here is some additional INSIGHT into what former Impact Ropes Course trainer Darren Leighton is doing. Looks like just another clone/spinoff of Impact Trainings and currently running in St. George, UT and next month to go in Salt Lake City. The core courses are named Insight, Invision and Integration. Seems like the more things change, the more they stay the same.

The Web address below will take you to the BHD Architects drawings of a remodel of the Impact Traninings Building in Draper, UT. You will find the logo of the LDS Church on the drawing, which is for a classroom addition for the Summit Academy Sr. Seminary for this charter school. Strange bedfellows, Impact Trainings and the LDS church? From a Web search, it appears that Summit Academy has abou

It's been over three months since any comments have been posted here, which is surprising for a topic that gets over 50 hits a day. I believe that the postings already written here are sufficient to inform potential recruits and new trainees about the real nature of Impact. It seems that Impact is doing a bit of promotion with Guest Presentations in Southern Idaho, Northern and Southern Ut

Spiritual? has started a new thread about an Impact spinoff called "The Power of Choice" in Sandy Utah. I put some stuff there in case anyone is interested. This comes at a time when Impact is opening marketing initiatives in Southern California and Southern Idaho. Some months ago it appeared that this thread would reach the view tally of 100,000 about Sept. 1, 1012, but this tal

Craig Gines is a former IMPACT LMT trainee. The name of the training is clearly designed to appeal to LDS folks, because to them the word choice reads "AGENCY." The hit count on the IMPACT TRAININGS thread shot past 100,000 this morning. Surely the hit count on this thread will be also high if "The Power of Choice" thrives in the LDS environment.

Well, the view talley for this thread just crossed the 99K point. The viewing rate seems to increase in the time near the monthly Quest trainings. Interested souls seem to be seeking information about the processes of IMPACT that so take over their lives and family relationships. Certainly this thread is the best source for objectivity and a balanced view contrasting the IMPACT dogma and propa

This thread over recent years has sustained a viewing rate of about 1200 views per month. Based on that rate, it is possible to predict about when it will reach the 100,000 view milestone. That would be about September 1, 2012. I don't see any other LGAT thread in this forum that is likely to beat Impact Trainings. This allows Impact to rightly claim that they are the leading Large Group

The last posting by carboy is in a real sense contected to IMPACT TRAININGS. You cannot talk about cults, LGATs, and Mormons without recognizing the connection geographically and culturally in the valley of the Great Salt Lake. IMPACT, along with its fellow LGATs are nowhere more denounced officially than by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). The current political clima

Cults use mind-control techniques that are subtle and sophisticated, two approaches foreign to KSL and the Deseret News. 6. Quotespiritual?I think this is the weekend where the trainees break boards. They are each given a square piece of plywood on which the write all of their fears and worries. They then put the board between two cinder blocks and break it with their fist..a symbol of them literally breaking through their walls. I think this might occur on Friday night just before the enrollment stretch is introdu

The web address below will take you to a great source of information for dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder. My experience is that LGAT experience leaves the trainee much worse off than before the training if they have BPD to start with or even if they didn't have BPD already, it can be a result of the training. I say this from first hand experience over several years. Just bec

When you try to go to the Impact Trainings Critic web site, red flags come up saying that you could get some malicious software there. I have my doubts. Could it be that Impact Trainings has cleverly made it appear so to deter folks from visiting there? If so this would be a first amendment violation. Impact could not get away with that with this forum, thank goodness.

It appears also that scaredwife has already learned a lot from this board and will, with hope and patience, deal with her painful and distressing situation. ___________________ My husband is currently at the training for the Great Life Foundation, located in Salt Lake City.

In June of 2009, author GratefulRage posted 11 items on a variety of threads here. The most helpful to me were the comments on the effects of BPD and PTSD when combined with LGATs. After nearly two additional years of experience, it is clear to me that these are mental health issues that are greatly agravated by Impact Trainings. Since there are about 2% of the general population in the U.S th

This thread crossed the 78000 hits line this morning. Remarkable! Whatever your views on LDS doctrine, Impact Trainings, and other LGATs are obviously targeted by LDS leadership as bad stuff. I feel a degree of comfort and vindication in the fact that LDS leaders are calling a spade a spade, and helping to expose LGATs, of whatever ilk, as bad stuff. Just giving credit where credit is due. If
