Like all cults there are different levels of involvement and there are different people getting different things out of it. I really do think shanti that the experience for women is different than it is for the men too, there is not much ambition a woman can hold in a KC environment and the most common prize for devotion is a baby and/or a broken heart. Cults get worse over time, they all do

Starfish I will say that I do not have any specific knowledge regarding the Tibbetan Buddhist organisation, if you are concerned about a ack of awareness and you have information about abuse and you want something to be done about it then you can certainly try to be the someone that does it. The media may take notice if they are approached, but they do not surf the net looking for stories, t

I have wondered this myself and have looked into it, but have never found any evidence of a specific department within the FBI dedicated to cults. Reports of FBI investigations into cults neever seem to identify a specific unit - if you do a google search or search Rick Ross you will see what I mean. They certainly do seem to take an interest in cults though. A few links which may be of in

QuoteI think that intimidating, aggressively attacking and further alienating current followers is counterproductive. People who leave cults walk towards a kind hand, not the threatening one. IMO the focus and goal of all efforts should be to help current members get out as well as educating potential members to the truth. Since they already feel isolated and fearful of the “outside” why play int

Some Quick Facts About Mike Gabbard (Krishna Kartha das) Mike Gabbard got elected into the American democratic system based on support from all over the world because followers of Chris Butler - members of the same cult that Mike Gabbard denies being a member of have a vested interest in serving their guru and it appeases their sectarian spirit to believe that they are getting one up over the

The Religion of Slavery The whole KC philosophy cultivates dependence and subservience to the ruling class which evolved into system of gurus and disciples. The reasons why and who advances through this are obvious. As far as what defines a cult is concerned KC has literally made being in a cult their religion. The Bhagavad-Gita was originally written between 1st century BC and 2nd Cent

Chris Butler was initially a disciple of Sivananda ashram which in simple terms could be referred to as left tantra while Krishna Consciousness as propogated by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami is referred to as right tantra. In simple terms he is of a mystic, impersonalist background, same as I. Since I was initiated when I was 17 by a disciple of Sivananda myself and lived in a commune then I know a litt
