QuoteBut tell me, what does it take for someone to leave LE ? You say your friends finaly left LE even though they wanted also to be Forum leaders at some point. Can you explained what happened and how they managed to get out of it? Any convincing arguments to take somebody out of LE mind control? I wish I could tell you. I believe my friends simply had lives that were too busy and too full to

I believe the "Forum Leader" thing is a pretty much unreachable carrot LE dangles in front of just about everyone who sticks with LE for more than a weekend. My friend and his wife also spoke about becoming Forum leaders (they finally left LE, thank goodness). From what I understand, becoming a Forum leader takes years and years of seminar-attending and signing up tons of people. Plus,

I wonder how far you have to get into the Cuddle Party "training" before it DOES become a series of orgies? It sounds to me like their "for the public" PR story about it being "just cuddling" is simply a reassuring way to get people to attend their first "safe" cuddle party, and then they slowly erode your normal barriers until the people who keep coming ba

From their FAQs: QuoteCuddle Lifeguard On Duty? What's that? Cuddle Lifeguards are a select group of amazing individuals who are specially trained and certified in how to facilitate Cuddle Parties. Hi, freeheart, sorry to hear about your misfortune. Your group sounds very much like Landmark and Lifespring. Your group may not be listed on this site, because it's difficult to keep pace with all the coercive groups that grow from other groups or pop up all the time. But most of these groups have a tremendous amount in common, so there's a lot on this site that can help. I don&#

I remember when I was in my mid teens. My family had gone out for a few hours and I was alone in the house. It was midafternoon. Suddenly, I heard thumping from up in the attic. This was followed by dragging sounds. I knew what it was -- our house was haunted and there were ghosts up there, dragging dead bodies around! Scared for my life, I ran out and sat on the front steps. Eventually my par

I watched this program -- it was disgusting. People are traveling from all over the world to be "operated on" by this charlatan -- who jams forceps up people's noses to "cure" them -- and ABC did a fantastic job of making it look like he just might be performing "miracles." For instance, the one doctor they consulted for a second opinion," Dr. Mehmet Oz, is

Looking up Kenja, I'm horrified at their approach to roping people in -- it all sounds so innocent. childlike and fun. Especially "Klowning," which sounds like it's just joking around but no doubt is meant to regress people into a childlike state of acceptance. One thing I find amazing is that Landmark encourages you to "be honest and take what you have coming," encouraging you to speak up to your boss, for example, about what you don't like about your job (which could lead to getting fired). But at the same time, they set people up for humilation in a work-like setting and DIScourage those same people from speaking up about what bothers

Interesting. In advertising, ads are "mocked up;" you do a "mock up" to show a client what the finished ad will look like. It's incredible how much of people's time Landmark takes up. It's like having a second full-time job. You work all week and go to LEC meetings at night, and then you spend your weekends doing "mocks" and intros and attending eve

Does anyone know what a "mock" is, in Landmark terms? I'm wondering if it's the same as a mock in Scientology?

My best guess as to the "translations" of these "seven commendments" (please note that Landmark doesn't call itself a religion, but doesn't this sound like "the Ten Commandments" to you?): "Be Racket-Free: give up being right - even when you know you were. " "Be Peaceful: give up the interpretation that there's something wrong. &qu

I've been reading some of the public Landmark newsgroups, and it seems another method of recruitment is for female attendees to go to battered women's shelters and offer a "miracle makeover." Just what battered women need...someone sucking them into a "cultlike group."
