I have argued vigorously with Dave McKay over many things where I can see a good case, and where it will serve as a warning to any new potential recruits. However, in this instance I can neither see a good case nor how it is a warning to any new recruits. In fact, I believe all this speculation and mud-slinging using the "Paedophile" word, is emotive and brings this forum into dis

QuoteBlackhatIt's easy to fall into Dave's traps. He set one this morning. Following Xenophone's concise testimony on the XJC site, Dave tried to divert attention from the damning evidence of Xenophone. He posted a link to a 2 year old news report about kidney donations, to try to get us off the current subject. Only Stoic fell for it. While I have defended Dave regarding

But back to the issue of the 6 year old boy. The report says that Dave was insistent that he should sleep with the men, even though one of those men had admitted sexually abusing children in the past. The report says that Dave denigrated the child's mother by saying that she was "over-protective". Good Lord, thank you for "over-protective" Mothers!

Another fascinating posting on the "Towelgate" thread is where Dave plays games of denial about whether he ever said he had written an article called "Killers for Christ" Here is his denial, as it is, and as regular readers will know, I eventually found the reference on the JC website where Dave said that he did write an article called "Killers for Christ". Kirstie (remember Kirstie?) said something profound during Towelgate, and it is worth noting. She said: QuoteKirstieDave you would never admit it even if it was true now would you! Everyone else is wrong and lies, except for you. You just go into every single little detail of everything over and over and over and over again! Untill you wear the other person down and makes them just say some

QuoteIn one sentence he claims paedophilia is incurable yet in the next he dismisses a child molesting confession as a ''one off''. It's disturbing to think this man may have been working alongside vulnerable children on Kenya for a number of years. When you have a leader who puts so much trust in paedophile's then bad things often happen. I agree that this cas

QuoteApolloI get the impression that Verity has a need to impress Dave. I know Verity previously came very close to joining the JCs cult and it appears Dave still has an emotional hold over her. She is a victim of Dave and it appears she still has some issues which she needs to work through. Her apologetic behaviour over the word ''Consort'' was manic. She dragged that litt

Dave and Cherry have made statements regarding their stances on paedophilia: Quote www.ipce.info/host/howitt/5_2.htm Araji and Finkelhor, 1985, 1986, categorised factors that characterise offenders, to confirm possible explanations of paedophilia. Their model encouraged clinicians to explore widely for the isiosyncratic determining factors with each offender. I am listing below onl

QuoteIn a sense its a shame that Davejc has not followed through on his legal threats. It would have shone a powerful light into his murky world in the discovery/disclosure phase, if nothing else---but then that is a chance he will never dare to take. Dave has already seemingly acquiesed, agreeing that Rick Ross's league of pro-bono lawyers would make him broke in a second if he takes leg

So Dave mis-handled having a paedophile presenting to him. He didn't know what to do. Ask any social worker, they will tell you similar situations where they had a ped put one over them. It is not a crime to have a ped put one over you. They do it all the time..... They think about it in retrospect, and what they should have done, but the peds work so smooth, they get away with it des

Apollo, (and I've got the right poster this time? Hehe!) That is my intention too, and it has a similar background to you. I just don't think posting stuff about child abuse is appropriate. Given Dave's complete opposition to any sex outside marriage, I think to continue this line of attack is counter-productive. What do you think?

Another thing which Dave said about paedophilia has been taken completely out of context. Maybe his wording in the original posting was ambiguous, because he assumed that his readers knew that he is a very moral person regarding sex. But some people took his quote out of context, and so he re-worded his statement to clarify. That is a liberty I would allow anyone who found that an off-the-cuff co

Apollo said Quote''And, for Christ's sake, stop hating them.'' This is really obvious. 'And for Christ's sake stop hating Davejc and just let him get on with his predatory ways in peace.' Once again, Apollo, I have difficulty with your extrapolation. To ask people to stop hating offenders is a reasonable stance, particularly for those who see "Th

It's Christmas Eve here in Australia, and the sun is casting long shadows in the late summer light. A time for reflection, and for remembering what Jesus came to bring. Peace, Love and Goodwill to all Mankind. I wish all posters here on this Forum a wonderful Christmas. I also wish the same to Dave, Cherry, Kevin, and all those who have been Jesus Christian members. Maybe the year

With respect, moderator. Nobody is posting on the Jesus Christian web site who were members of the Jesus Christians, apart from Dave. This is in direct contrast to how things were before the site was suddenly locked. The Takatifu Gardens web site advises a change of management. There have been unsubstantiated reports that the Jesus Christians have disbanded.

Moderator, you said: QuoteIf McKay wants to send a genuine message of "hope" he should send Joe Johnson back to his family. And then cut all communication between himself and/or anyone associated with his group and Joe Johnson. That would be a meaningful first step in actually demonstrating that he wants to "make some progress." Anything less than this can be seen as

Message to Dave: I have read your report of what Kevin said, and I have replied to what Kevin said on the X site. Please read that. I am not about to become a Jesus Christian apologist here, but I also had trouble with Kevin misrepresenting what you said regarding a willingness for mediation on the X site, and have said so. The gulf is clearly wide, but honesty and truthfulness are impor

Dave said: Quote Cherry points out that one of the unique things about paedophilia is that the "victim" becomes the "predator" when they become adults. It is an insidious social disease....... I wonder if the same principle applies to cults? A person comes under the influence of a cult as a "young impressionable person" and later on goes on to form a cult themselv

Dave said, quoting me: Quote Here he was, a relatively young Christian, working for the Bible Society at an impressionable age, and he was courted by the COG. He followed his leading to the point of joining them, but then came to an abrupt halt when he realised that they were teaching things which were an abomination to him. Yet so much of what they taught seemed so right to him. He responds

I must say that most of what you say, Stoic, I agree with. If I could see, for example, Dave admitting that he was wrong in his persecution of DL as the person he claimed was Private Eyes, I might consider some kind of dialogue with him. As it stands, he has vilified innocent people with his omniscience, and he will have to do a great deal of admitting errors before I would consider any dialog
