I just received a phone call from a small group leader from TP wanting to know why we were leaving. I named the different things that we disagreed with and one thing I mentioned was Spiritual Parenting. He said they no longer taught that. They realized it was not scripitual and stopped. FYI.

This is a huge part of the problem at Turning Point. "They realized it was not scriptural and stopped."
Do you realize how asinine that statement is for a church?

WHY WERE THEY TEACHING IT TO BEGIN WITH?
WHY DIDNT THEY KNOW IT WASNT SCRIPTURAL TO BEGIN WITH?

If Mike were a surgeon would you want him to perform surgery on you?
This is spiritual malpractice.

What else is Mike teaching that he is not sure is scriptural or not?

How is it the Elders and Deacons can allow SOMA NW to continue to operate knowing that Mike is uncertain as to what is or isnt biblical?
This constitutes fraud.

WHY DIDNT MIKE KNOW Spiritual Parenting wasn't biblical?

I will tell you why.
Mike is filled with pride.
He is arrogant and self deceived.
He is quick to grab onto what ever fad happens to tickle his ears at any given moment.
This is why I left the church back in 1996.
Because Mike would rather teach something that sounded good than teach what was scriptural.
Mike will reject godly counsel and wisdom when it doesnt fit with his own personal goals and desires.
That is why he left the Church of God. DANGER!

If Mike were a surgeon he would have lost his license to practice medicine long ago.
And yet here he is still practicing Pastoral Malpractice.

I will say it again:
Elders, Deacons and staff of Turning Point-you mock God.
You follow one who puts his own needs and desires ahead of the Church.
You follow someone who teaches false and errant theology.
You follow one who is engaged in spiritual malpractice with the hearts and minds of all who enter your doors.
You remain silent and you turn your eyes to the truth of what your heart tells you.
You deny your own conscience. Why?
Do you not now that you call down God's judgment upon yourself everyday that you ignore the truth?

I really appreciate this site, however i think the sarcasm tends to discredit. I would pray that this forum could be used for posting that is beneficial to others. when we retaliate with the sarcastic tone, we are not being a proper reflection of the truth. I would encourage some to stop, because there are people that are interested in finding a support. The posts that contain the sarcasm turn them off to posting or being a part of this . Just my opinion. we are still reeling from the resignation of pastor and elder Jackie Singer. What a great loss for the body of tpc. She was a wonderful example of Gods love and grace.

I know I can be very passionate about what I'm writing about, but to imply a specific sarcastic tone? I believe it really comes down to the reader. Tone is not delivered by words but in how one reads the words. You can read a quote and inject your best British accent, that sets a tone or you can be laughing and read the same thing and it has a different tone.
Try this read the following quote and do your best Captain Barbossa voice;
"...and if a wolf comes into our midst, I don’t know, we will buy it dog food.”
Now read the same thing with a Larry the cable guy voice.

If we don't laugh from time to time we end up becoming angry.
Laughter helps people deal with hurt and my next statement will illustrate my point

I would like to bring to your attention the absurdity that is going on in your church!
That fact that Mike and Tony have convened several people that they are apostles is major issue! Especially when there is no evidence to back up there claim. In all the postings on the Radiant Life and Turning Point forum nobody has been able to back up these two goofballs with any testimony or evidence that would support there claim that they are apostles.
Now i called Tony and Mike Goofballs and that accurately describes there behavior!

So I encourage you to be passionate about what you believe! be specific and truthful and from time to time laugh.

I thought I would check out the SOMA North West website.

wow I see on the schedule of events, Strategic Advance Intensive Feb 24 & 25. Hmmm
so I called up to Turning Point to see who the guest speaker would be and sure enough it's going to be Mr. Tony Cunningham.

The nice lady that answered the phone was very inquisitive probing me as to my identity. I was happy to tell her my name. She asked me if I was one of the people posting on the website and I said the Rick Ross website? yes I am. Then she said "why are you so divisive?" I said I'm not at all, there is more evidence exposing Tony to be a false teacher.
"you are a very divisive person." with a condescending tone to her voice.
"Why do you care about something that doesn't involve you?" almost like a robotic response.

So that's is the position Turning Point leadership is going to take regarding anyone posting on this site or asking any questions.
They are just going to call you DIVISIVE and hide behind there closed doors doing what they do best....in secret.
Come on leadership why don't you face the people in your flock and community....answer the questions?

By what authority is Tony Cunningham an apostle?
Do you have any supporting evidence that backs up his apostolic claim?
by what authority is Mike Villamor and apostle?
Why has Mike allowed Tony to teach "spiritual parenting" and covenant relationships, Heart of David, 5 Fold ministry, and again strategic advance?
Why does the Leadership embrace the teachings of Tony Cunningham?
Does Mike have a Spiritual Daughter living with him?
Why is Tony still practicing Spiritual Parenting?
What are Tony's views on polygamy and why does his teaching of Spiritual Parenting support his polygamist views?
If Tonys teachings are so good then why does he have such a long list of broken marriages and broken families from his church?
If Tony is an apostle then why have his church plants broken off there ties with him?

If leadership is going to spin the people posting as being divisive they better pony up with one shred of evidence that would prove me wrong.

PEOPLE, I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR CHURCH HIJACKED BY A FALSE APOSTLE.
THERE IS MORE OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE THAT TONY IS A FALSE TEACHER AND MORE EVIDENCE THAT HE IS A FALSE APOSTLE!
THE TESTIMONIES ARE OVERWHELMING AS TO THE DESTRUCTIVE NATURE AND SEVERITY OF TONY'S TEACHINGS.


Your pastor is embracing Tony simply because Tony empowers Mike with the title of apostle!
It is all about POWER and AUTHORITY for these guys.

Elders of Turning Point why are you going to allow the false apostle Tony to come into your church and teach Strategic Advance? What does he have to offer?
Look at every church plant Tony has been involved with Katy Texas, Laguna California, West Sacramento, and the Philippines where are the relationships today? Non-existent!
You're going to allow a man into your church that cannot keep a relationship going outside of his tinny inner circle and what benefits him outside. Are you going to allow a man into your church that has taught children to renounce there parents and cling to a new spiritual parent. You're going to allow a man into your church that has hurt hundreds of people with his false teachings.

Well Mike and fellow elders of Turning Point, you better buy a big bag of dog food because the Wolf is coming.

Why do I care? let me give you this illustration and hopefully you will see....
If I have knowledge that a tour bus company is operating several buses that are in need of serious repairs and the owner refuses to make the repairs. He continues to load people on to those buses and drive them back a forth.
Do I just ignore that knowledge? NO I CAN'T!
What if I knew that one of His bus drivers has and expired drivers license or is under the influence of illegal drugs?
Are we supposed to just put our head in the sand and ignore it?
Well sorry folks but I have a responsibility to warn people not to get onto that bus! to contact the authorities that this Company is operating a defective and unsafe buses.

I know by first hand experience the anti-Christian and destructive nature Tony's teaching will bring to your church. Just look at what is happening at Radiant Life in Sacramento. It is falling apart! Look at the spiritual incestuous behaviors of Tony’s worship leaders and worship team, to the mass exodus of staff and members that is still occurring. Why would you embrace his teachings? And why would you expose his teachings to your staff and SOMA students???
I am asking you people to do your homework, test everything!
If these leaders can not be open and honest with who they are and what they believe then expose them for what they are!!!!

When it comes to a church representing to be Christian, people have the right to know what that church believes. If the church says one thing, but practices something else, we have a problem. If a church embraces a false teacher and false teachings that oppose the 10 commandments, then people have a right to know what they are getting themselves into. People need to look closely at the theology and belief system of the church!
When a church starts playing games with the membership, hiding there deeper beliefs like "Spiritual Parenting" then that manipulation needs to be exposed!

I am simply asking the leadership and members of Turning Point to address these issues publicly.

Do it now! before another person gets hurt or spiritually abused.

I also wanted to welcome you to the forum; thank you for your input, and my prayers are with you as you move on. My experience of looking for a church that was Christ-centered and simple (i.e., not complicated with a lot of programs that could translate into overcommitment on my part) was frustrating, but just when I thought I couldn't take one more attempt, God plunked me down right where I needed to be. Keep leaning into Him, even when you're disheartened.

BrokenHearted, I know how painful it was for me to leave and move forward. Take your time, but don't disconnect from "the assembling of ourselves together." I'll pray for courage and healing. You can private message me anytime, if you care to.

Outreach, glad you're posting here. I remember all the little red flags that kept going up for me, and how I ignored them. They're all so clear now. Time and distance from the situation makes things even more clear. I hope you will keep posting helpful stuff as it "comes" to you, because it helps others to clarify what they've been sensing but have not been able to put into words. Thanks so much for adding your voice here.

Time to move forward. at leadership meeting where pastor jackie resigned pastor mike told people that he considers tony cunningham to be a spiritual authority in his life. tony cunningham is coming at the end of the month for intensives. i wonder if he will address all the controversy. i hope people are brave enough to ask questions. like for instance, what is the vision that pastor jackie doesnt agree with? for someone who has attended for so many years and been a support of tpc, what could possibly turn her heart away. i have yet to call her because i want her to have some peace for a time. tpc has lost and is losing some very special people. i am hurting for us all.

Has anyone heard yet why Jackie Singer resigned. I think each one of us that have left the church and voiced our concerns to others still in the church will get them thinking. Kind of like a snowball effect. That is all we can do is warn them and let God reveal the truth to their hearts.

Can someone please come on here after the class and explain how Strategic Advance fits in with the kingdom of God. It only seems to fit in the kingdom of Tony and Mike. I have asked several times on here and no one has stepped up to explain. I believe that is because it does not make sense. Strategic Advance has done more to be divisive in the world than anyone on this forum calling TPWOC and acknowledging they are posting on here.

WAKE UP TURNING POINT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. YOUR HERO IS COMING. GOOD LUCK.

I ask you for once in your life to have some courage and boldness and stand up to Pastor Mike before we become a disgrace to Marysville. If you refuse to stand up to Pastor Mike then you are no good for nothing, and you wouldn't know what a Wolf was if it Bit your rear end ! The reason that your a bunch of scary cats is because all the false teaching will not hold up to the Word of God. So you have to hide,cover up and call people divisive.
