Some books can be purchased through amazon.com, some as special orders as used books through amazon.
Some available on half.com
Search under "Gourasana" and also under "Kalindi La Gourasana" and also under "Miracle of Love", "GMP", etc and under the headings of 'books', 'CD', and 'tapes'. You'll find a lot (I did). Except for the Spiritual Lifestyle Manual.
I'd suggest you request on the MOLsuvivor support link mentioned in a prior posting. Apparently the 'lifestyle manual' was pretty costly when it was available. I never saw the lifestyle manual ; but I sure got pressure for not meeting up to the standards. Except the 'standards' had never been explained to me in the first place.
For example, one thing I know is that one must keep their clothing closets well organized to facilitate "God Conscious Living". All clothing on the same color hangers, all hung exactly 2" apart. Also garages are to be organized with everything in matching labeled containers.
I cannot imagine that anyone w/ children could sanely maintain their home this way. Thus a person would ALWAYS feel that they're not living a spiritual-enough life. I wouldn't be a good MOLr because 'my God' does not care if my clothes hangers are the same color, nor if my garage is perfectly swept and labeled.
Guess just have to keep attending the group meditations to process it all! IMHO, seems enough to drive one bananas (it almost did me, by 2nd hand manipulations).
Maybe your MOL friend could share her materials w/ you, if you express an interest. From what I know of the recruitment methods, they are generally pretty generous w/ sharing recordings of talks by Gourasana, Kalindi, & the Lady with interested parties - spiritual seekers. They are generaly caring and enthusiastic about wanting to share their Path and bring others into the fold.
Have fun w / circuitous non-logic. It's really similar to any other 'new age' teachings. Except the MOL audio and printed material seem to have worse grammar. Just my opinion.
The main point, however, is not the teachings. It's the EXPERIENCE... it's the FEELING. "You can benefit from the Intensive regardless of your personal or religious beliefs. You will experience such ecstasy and love from experiencing the Intensive and the GMP Workshop. There is special energy now on this planet to make this GMP available at this time. This is a teaching for everyone, regardless of their background. It is the meditation for this age."
Such 'depth of feeling', e.g. artificially induced endogenous endorphin high, comes from the Intensive, the GMP, and other abherant situations. Some references about similar meditation 'highs' can be found on the thread about Kriya Yoga / Self Realization Fellowship. People get addicted. Like any addict, the care & feeding of the addiction comes before anything else. It is not the person, it is the addiction, that takes over. As with any addict, it is very hard to connect with the 'real person' because s/he is so covered over by layers of the MOL experience and indoctrination. Really sad.
MOLrs talk repeatedly about the 'feeling' of the Intensive. The love is greater than any other love you can feel. The 'feeling' of love is far more important than the behavior of love. Thus, I'm sure your friend truly loves her children to the extent that she is capable of (feeling the love). The concern that I believe you have, is does she love them enough to raise them with values, structure, guidance, societal awareness, direction, appropriate boundaries and discipline?
It's all about doing what FEELS good, and teaching same to the children to facilitate their experience of "G" (Gourasana). Avoid anything that is uncomfortable - discomfort is part of the Illusion. Just surrender and let it go. sigh.
As with any cult, folks are cultivated to maintain in a childlike dependancy state to the group, the guru, the teacher or the leader. It would be very hard for an emotional child to raise children appropriately.
When one is really committed to the Mission, they often will have private ($$) counseling from the MOL coaches (this is in addition to their MOL mentor daily check-in that is a volunteer of a higher level).
Several have told me that their MOL coaches have advised them to masturbate extensively with pornography to break their attachments to the Illusion. This can also induce an endogenous opioid 'high' that becomes addicting. Just as you had mentioned about your Reiki friends seeking a more intense experience. Also, it is known that extensive porn use can eventually make it difficult for a person to feel content with a more 'normal' sexual life.
From what I've been told : After the porn addiction, in MOL, come opportunities to live out what they've normalized from watching on the flicks. I believe this is when one reaches the higher levels. This all in the name of experiencing the Divine Being, "G", and breaking attachments. Your average-Joe or Joanna attending an Intensive for the first time does not know this initially. Those who are new to MOL are at a newbie level, and given the more elemenatry 'watered down' (my term) experience so as not to overwhelm them before they are ready.
When I listened to the GMP CD, it was very much designed to produce similar experience to the TM program that I was raised with (TM feels GREAT to do, by the way, and is totally addicting). Some of the words spoken by Jim St. James were word-for-word what is taught in the Transcendental Meditation Movement (the monstrously rich meditation cult). Additionally, Jim St. James on the CD uses the identical hypnotic-meditation-relaxation-surrender voice that is used by TM teachers. I actually wondered if he'd originally been w/ the TM Movement. too eerily similar in presentation.
For discussion on brain chemistry changes induced by many meditation practices, there are many references on all of the cult education web sites. For general message board discussion, you will find more about meditation neurochemsitry on the following thread :
