Does anyone know who conducts the MOL intensives in Ashville, NC? The person I've referred to before just attended one there and I'd like to find out more about it. She's been to two in Ashville and one out in San Diego that I know was for the next "level" and only for certain people. I just had a long discussion with her about MOL and she's extremely close-mouthed about it as you can imagine. She did seem somewhat alarmed at what I had discovered about MOL thanks to you all!

As always, any information would be very helpful.

Hi Lilly,

This is fascinating :D

The following is a link to a therapist, I think she lives in Florida, who also leads Intensives. This maybe is who you are looking for, or maybe not:

[racoletackett.com]

Additionally, although you did not ask for this, the following thread about psychotherapy influences within cultic groups applies to MOL. I suggest downloading and reading the various professional articles. They address the inherent dangers when a therapist, coach, spiritual guide, etc breeches client confidentiality to the group at large, uses their therapy practice to build the cult's following and has their own agenda or that group's agenda as their primary focus, rather than focusing on the client's healing for psychological / emotional independence.

[board.culteducation.com]

In my experience, it is all very secretive. Anything that is so secretive, I think is something to be wary of.

Good luck!

The following link refers to another LGAT "Lifespring" that uses many of the same methods as MOL. It could be applicable to post MOL recovery.

Toni, and others,

Thanks for the great resources. Unfortunately, this is more than just a "fascination" as my husband and I have had to deal with many issues with his children / my stepchildren, and their MOL / Reiki / New Age mother. This is a matter of their emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being. It was the CRAZY life choices and mind set of this woman as well as several alarming situations with the children that led me as a writer to begin researching this subject.

Just wanted to let y'all know why the interest and the importance of this information, both for my expose of the group and for the wellfare of my family.

Hi Lillygirl,

I understand. My apologies if my warped sarcasm humor did not come across appropriately. It's just a coping defense. Truly, I was sarcasticly implying that we have the same psychological life trauma from which we are recovering.

Yes, my family has been deeply scarred by MOL. That is why I've learned so much -- to help us heal. And if my/our pain can help others, then I'm happy to share.

The children in your family are very fortunate to have your dedication. The healing process is slow, but recovery is possible - or least my family seems to have made great strides in recovering from the 2nd hand effects. And we've, fortunately, been able to keep a distance from the MOL influence in our life, so could purely focus on the recovery. W/ the continued influence in your lives, I'm sure it would be harder.

Please remember that the MOL person in your life is well intentioned! The person TRULY believes and experiences that he / she is doing good. The person does NOT realize that they are sending such confusing mixed messages.

You certainly have all of our support!
As another person in this 'mess' said "Pay It Forward"... so please do share w/ us anything that you uncover. We all can help each other!

Thank you! And Good Luck!
Warmly,
t

Toni, Thanks so much for your warm and sincere support. And kudos to your courage. I think that's why good always overcomes chaos and evil. It's because good people who really want the best will always work hard and support others who are suffering and share their resources with one another. I will really strive to help others in this same situation. It's a shame that "spiritual abuse" does not yet garner the same measure of legal support for parents who are so anxious to protect their children as physical abuse does, although it seems to have the same effects. People like the ones contributing their stories to forums like this are what will make this goal of mine to help others possible. Blessings to everyone who is brave enough to share their stories! The truth will set us all free. Keep it comin' everyone!

Sincerely, Lily

FYI :

Someone founded an online support group specifially for MOLvictims and survivors. To join, access the following link and follow the prompts to join the group. Please state what your concern or interest is in MOL.

[health.groups.yahoo.com]

Also, I was told that MOL has told everyone that now is a special time of 'calming'. No one is to work on "going deeper' right now. That's the first time that such has been said. Everyone is supposed to be organizing/ cleaning their homes, offices, etc. This is to prepare them for the next phase to begin in 2005. So there will be no clutter or attachments to slow down their movement toward home in 2005.

My guess is that MOL administration is tiddying up their act in case there's an investigation or some such resulting from this online activism. MOL does follow these cult message board sites. The last Intensive for the near future is taking place this week in the San Fran Bay Area. It's supposed 'to be a good one'. There are no Intensives planned for next year. There will be shorter workshops, 'a new form of the teachings for the evolving consciousness of mankind' beginning in 2005. It has not yet been announced what that will be.

Since changing my home phone #, MOL no longer has 'screamer phone calls' sent to me (mentioned in a prior posting). Now I just get multiple calls w/ a beeping tone then a hang up - at various hours of the day or night. Usually the caller I.D. says 'insufficient data' or 'blocked call'. This evening I received a call from 909-573-0311. When I tried calling that number, a voice prompt asked me to punch in my I.D. #. Just for curiosity sake, does anyone know if that's the number to call for their private MOL conference calls?

Oh, will someone please tell me why I am so especially blessed that people send me MOL information?! And then I feel that it should be posted for everyone's benefit. :?

This sure is NOT how I intended to spend some of my leisure time!

Hi,

I want to thank you all again for the excellent resources. I've ordered the journal with the "Trouble in Paradise" article you quoted and I've followed all of your links, which has added considerably to my research. I will definately refer readers to this website for their research needs. It's amazing how much this subject ties into the subject of my original research for a book, which was Reiki and the New Age and the effects on families. So many Reiki people in my area and on the western coast are now going to MOL intensives. I think they've gone as far as they can go in Reiki and are now searching for more intense emotional experiences as they are emotionally hooked and "normal" life is no longer good enough for them!

I had a couple of questions. One is for SLS who seems to be incredibly "in the know" with regard to the current goings-on in MOL. I'd love it if SLS would private message me or respond through this forum since he or she has anonymity. I was wondering how SLS knows all this. It's really hard for me to figure all this out, not being an insider, so is your source still in MOL? How are you able to know this stuff? I say that in a complimentary way-I'm impressed and grateful. I mean, where did the info. about Kalindi being in a psychiatric hopsital, about Kalindi being ill, etc. come from? Can you let me know without betraying anyone's confidence?

Also, I'm trying to get the spiritual manual that Kalindi gives out. My few correspondents so far always mention the manual but they all have gotten rid of it after leaving MOL and they are really scared and reluctant to talk...it's just little stories they send me bit by bit. They are really emotionally wounded. One literally burned the manual. The link to the bookstore on the MOL website is now dead. (Why, oh why didn't I order their materials a year ago?!) I've ordered the Ultimate Freedom: Union with God book by Kalindi, but that's all I can find. You can't even get the GMP tapes off their website right now. I was warned that once a cult knows they are being investigated, they often change their materials and restrict access to their products, etc. and I guess that's the case here. Anyway, I would be happy to pay someone who may still have a copy somewhere for it. Or if someone would send the book to me, I could photocopy it and return it if they don't want to let it go permanently. If I'm going to write an expose, I need to use their own words and the old adage "Know thine enemy" is very true.

Thanks as always! If anyone needs my help as a writer or researcher, I'll be glad to "Pay it Forward" and return the favor for all this helpful info.

Thanks for the messages! Very helpful. I've been through all the MOL stuff and yet still have "missed" things that were there-so much info. and so much to go through! I've actually tried to join the Yahoo help group for MOL and although I've submitted probably 12 times, I've never been sent my verification email so that I can actually log on and read the stuff...it drives me crazy, but there tends to be many obstacles thrown into your path when you're battling something evil-in my opinion, not to get too esoteric. But good will always win, so I'll just keep trying. I've sent a "help" email to Yahoo so maybe that issue will be resolved soon.

Boy, this group IS a real piece of work...I've had so many people ask if I'm a mole or say they hope I'm not a spy! I sincerely hope some gov. organization is investigating this group...there's something more here than even all this terrible stuff, I can just feel it. But to assure anyone who reads this, I am not a spy, I am truly doing this only for moral purposes. Believe me, I'd much rather remain just a garden-writer! But my family is suffering and whatever I learn for myself MUST be shared with others. Like someone said before, you wouldn't let someone suffer or be in danger on the side of the road if there was something you could do to help them. So why let someone suffer for something more insidious?

Keep up the good work, everyone.

Some books can be purchased through amazon.com, some as special orders as used books through amazon.

Some available on half.com

Search under "Gourasana" and also under "Kalindi La Gourasana" and also under "Miracle of Love", "GMP", etc and under the headings of 'books', 'CD', and 'tapes'. You'll find a lot (I did). Except for the Spiritual Lifestyle Manual.

I'd suggest you request on the MOLsuvivor support link mentioned in a prior posting. Apparently the 'lifestyle manual' was pretty costly when it was available. I never saw the lifestyle manual ; but I sure got pressure for not meeting up to the standards. Except the 'standards' had never been explained to me in the first place.

For example, one thing I know is that one must keep their clothing closets well organized to facilitate "God Conscious Living". All clothing on the same color hangers, all hung exactly 2" apart. Also garages are to be organized with everything in matching labeled containers.

I cannot imagine that anyone w/ children could sanely maintain their home this way. Thus a person would ALWAYS feel that they're not living a spiritual-enough life. I wouldn't be a good MOLr because 'my God' does not care if my clothes hangers are the same color, nor if my garage is perfectly swept and labeled.

Guess just have to keep attending the group meditations to process it all! IMHO, seems enough to drive one bananas (it almost did me, by 2nd hand manipulations).

Maybe your MOL friend could share her materials w/ you, if you express an interest. From what I know of the recruitment methods, they are generally pretty generous w/ sharing recordings of talks by Gourasana, Kalindi, & the Lady with interested parties - spiritual seekers. They are generaly caring and enthusiastic about wanting to share their Path and bring others into the fold.

Have fun w / circuitous non-logic. It's really similar to any other 'new age' teachings. Except the MOL audio and printed material seem to have worse grammar. Just my opinion.

The main point, however, is not the teachings. It's the EXPERIENCE... it's the FEELING. "You can benefit from the Intensive regardless of your personal or religious beliefs. You will experience such ecstasy and love from experiencing the Intensive and the GMP Workshop. There is special energy now on this planet to make this GMP available at this time. This is a teaching for everyone, regardless of their background. It is the meditation for this age."

Such 'depth of feeling', e.g. artificially induced endogenous endorphin high, comes from the Intensive, the GMP, and other abherant situations. Some references about similar meditation 'highs' can be found on the thread about Kriya Yoga / Self Realization Fellowship. People get addicted. Like any addict, the care & feeding of the addiction comes before anything else. It is not the person, it is the addiction, that takes over. As with any addict, it is very hard to connect with the 'real person' because s/he is so covered over by layers of the MOL experience and indoctrination. Really sad.

MOLrs talk repeatedly about the 'feeling' of the Intensive. The love is greater than any other love you can feel. The 'feeling' of love is far more important than the behavior of love. Thus, I'm sure your friend truly loves her children to the extent that she is capable of (feeling the love). The concern that I believe you have, is does she love them enough to raise them with values, structure, guidance, societal awareness, direction, appropriate boundaries and discipline?

It's all about doing what FEELS good, and teaching same to the children to facilitate their experience of "G" (Gourasana). Avoid anything that is uncomfortable - discomfort is part of the Illusion. Just surrender and let it go. sigh.

As with any cult, folks are cultivated to maintain in a childlike dependancy state to the group, the guru, the teacher or the leader. It would be very hard for an emotional child to raise children appropriately.

When one is really committed to the Mission, they often will have private ($$) counseling from the MOL coaches (this is in addition to their MOL mentor daily check-in that is a volunteer of a higher level).

Several have told me that their MOL coaches have advised them to masturbate extensively with pornography to break their attachments to the Illusion. This can also induce an endogenous opioid 'high' that becomes addicting. Just as you had mentioned about your Reiki friends seeking a more intense experience. Also, it is known that extensive porn use can eventually make it difficult for a person to feel content with a more 'normal' sexual life.

From what I've been told : After the porn addiction, in MOL, come opportunities to live out what they've normalized from watching on the flicks. I believe this is when one reaches the higher levels. This all in the name of experiencing the Divine Being, "G", and breaking attachments. Your average-Joe or Joanna attending an Intensive for the first time does not know this initially. Those who are new to MOL are at a newbie level, and given the more elemenatry 'watered down' (my term) experience so as not to overwhelm them before they are ready.

When I listened to the GMP CD, it was very much designed to produce similar experience to the TM program that I was raised with (TM feels GREAT to do, by the way, and is totally addicting). Some of the words spoken by Jim St. James were word-for-word what is taught in the Transcendental Meditation Movement (the monstrously rich meditation cult). Additionally, Jim St. James on the CD uses the identical hypnotic-meditation-relaxation-surrender voice that is used by TM teachers. I actually wondered if he'd originally been w/ the TM Movement. too eerily similar in presentation.

For discussion on brain chemistry changes induced by many meditation practices, there are many references on all of the cult education web sites. For general message board discussion, you will find more about meditation neurochemsitry on the following thread :

[board.culteducation.com]

And more about similarities w/ relationships with those involved in another LGAT (different 'teachings' superficially... same experience)
