Posted by: Reepicheep Date: December 02, 2019 07:35AM My memories are blurring together. There was no balcony during the seventies and the elevator was from the nineties. As for the alternate entrance/exit, it was probably there so that G&M could enter and exit without rubbing shoulders with or feeling obligated to speak with the peons who paid for everything and did the work. They behav

Well, this is delightful. And again, I have no problem with the moderator removing this post, since it is off-topic and (perhaps) political in nature. I'm sharing (below) the beginning of a WaPo article I read this morning: By Peter Jamison, Carol D. Leonnig and Paul Schwartzman Jan. 14, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. PST Many U.S. Secret Service agents have stood guard in Washington’s eli

I came across this "thought experiment" today, and decided to share it here. Since it is politically-oriented, I have no problem should the moderator decide to remove it. Michael Shermer wrote: "If Obama lost to Mitt Romney in 2012, and refused to acknowledge the election as legitimate, then spent months promoting on Twitter and Facebook that he won the election in a landslid

"I'm workin' and prayin' day and night But what I really wanna do is fight That's right, fight!" Sorry--this is the best I can do. No wonder no one asked me to write lyrics to a kingdom song. Oh well.

In the LA area I do remember a song that started this way: "With violence in our spirits we declare a breakthrough Hallelujah, Hallelujah" (or something like that)

Thanks for sharing, Reep. I was snapping my fingers as I was reading it. Catchy lyrics! I can't recall after singing this song whether we often broke into singing in the spirit. I'll assume we did.

I've managed to block out memories of most of the militant songs we sang during that era. But a few keep surfacing, something like: "War, we shall war, we shall war against the lies of Babylon. Fight, we shall fight, we shall fight with the weapons of righteousness For our weapons are not carnal, but mighty through the power of our Lord etc." "Prophets of God marching

note: one of the quickest paths to being labeled a Neph is to become aware of impropriety among TLWF/Walk leaders, and be vocal about it. In our political climate today, I think that is what is referred to as a "traitor," who should be punished by _________. (you should be able to fill in the blank)

I came across this somewhere on the internet. Once I have my coffee, I'll attribute it to the right person: “There is no redemption without repentance. There is no repentance without accountability. There is no accountability without consequences."

I think the many contributors to this forum through the years have done their best to facilitate healing, by (in part) sharing their personal experiences in TLWF...and revealing what paths they have took to improve their lives. But as a survivor bluntly posted just recently in the FD group on Facebook, "it's hard to "unf*ck" it all." That's certainly true. Anyway,

True, kBOY And yes, Happy New Year to those who have contributed to this forum for so many years, and all those who read it and have found value in what has been posted here. Let's do our best to make good, sound decisions in 2021. Please, no injecting bleach into your systems to 'cure' any ailments. I know from personal experience it does nothing for athlete's foot ;)

Many measures were implemented over the decades in order for us to never appear religious, including some that were downright illegal. Back then, I suppose I was "religious" in the sense that I would prefer ministry from a sober pastor rather than a drunk (i.e. sh*tfaced) pastor. Today, of course, I would never seek guidance from a religious "authority"--drunk or sober.

More than a few 'ministries' were obviously inspired by Jesus' first miracle (turning water into wine) and perhaps used it to justify getting sh*tfaced at TLWF events. I don't think there was any Walk teaching as pernicious as "Christ in the Flesh." Although theoretically it was referring to the many-membered "Body of Christ," in practice it applied to John Stevens, and later to G & M. Any problem you might have had with these leaders, once communicated, would be twisted by these leaders as a problem with God. Of course, that opene

October 2018 posts continued: Posted by: Cloudwatcher Date: October 24, 2018 11:23AM It doesn't matter to any of TLWF who did what because Gary represents God. He can say what he wants when he wants--do what he wants when he wants with impunity. He has layers protecting him--because you do not question God--ever. It is doubtful that anyone left will escape that place now. Gary has

October 2018 posts continued: Posted by: larry bobo Date: October 22, 2018 04:30PM As far as the removal of Rick, I would also keep a close eye on Gary. Rick did not make himself an overseer, Gary and Marilyn did. That was in spite of Rick’s track record. If I was hearing stories about Rick out in Palmer Lake and I’m sure Gary was familiar with what was going on with his own step-son, sin
