<Most of us have felt the rage if we questioned anything – it was about control, not about the truth or a real relationship> So true, Larry. That was the turning point for my wife, who was more committed to the fellowship prior to us leaving than I was. She questioned Gary's treatment of Dan Statton, and enraged, Gary threatened to punch her. He followed up this threat with recoun

I'm not going to be the one responsible for bringing judgement upon the Xmas truck, and possibly depriving Denzel Washington of a Merry Christmas. That burden will not rest upon me!

I have no plans of being involved with another church as well. Even if Denzel Washington called me up and insisted I do it--I doubt I would be swayed. Maybe if Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Ryan Gosling, Jenny Lewis and Bill Murray all called on the same day insisting I do it...I might give it some thought.

So Rick and Lorena conceived of the idea back in '84? latimes: "Lorena told me about the first time Rick put together the pickup. She recalled 31 years of friends who come out to show the Holbrooks their new babies or to deliver the news of neighbors who had passed throughout the year. She talked of the traditions that their little idea sparked, and how each of us might spread

Glassdoor compiled its list of the 50 best companies in America to work for in 2016. I haven't checked out the complete list as yet. My main curiosity is to see whether any sawmills in Iowa made the cut (no pun intended).

The demise of Shiloh would be a fatal blow, devastating to the psyche of the fellowship. It would not be something I would find pleasure in...because I know how many 'good' people have sacrificed to build and maintain the place--and what it means to their lives.

I'm aware of long-term ministries in the L.A. area that are intelligent, and have treated the congregation fairly and with respect (at least from what I have witnessed). I doubt TLWF would be in the sorry condition it is today if the reigns of leadership, post-John, had rested upon them. Off the top of my head there is Walkoe, Lindy, Fisher, Gruenberg...and others, of course, that "blew

Keep squeezing the life and livelihood of the membership, until the base of support becomes so feeble that it can no longer support the weight of the organization. It appears Shiloh University fits perfectly into this strategy. However, if these divinity degrees do lead to quality employment, enabling a decent standard of living for the grads (and ease at paying back the debt), I will stand cor
