Briggs, I missed part of this thread where you replied to my post with the following... ""I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you just "didn't get it", even though you apparently have been through the forum. Where in the world did you get that from? Nowhere in the forum did I hear the phrase "everything is meaningless". Everything is not meaningless.

Caught a re-run of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Madonna was his guest. She spewed forth every run-of-the-mill new-age catch phrase about intention and responsibility and our purpose, blah, blah, blah, and the audience loved it. She also marketed her new book, which she is doing as a spiritual what? lesson, homework assignment? Her guru suggested she do it and she was surprised at how doing

Oh silly me! It was my fault for not unsubscribing from ALL the lists that I didn't know I was on. Mt friend, Mr. Skye wrote... THanks for the reminder. You must have been unsubscribed from one list and not the other. I just now clicked the unsubribe link for you. For future notice, just click unsubscribe links. Easier and more effective for you. Thanks again. At 10:3

He's still trying. Pretty unbelievable. Hi I apologize for the barrage of recent emails to you, yet I had to write you just now... You're gonna think I went NUTS when I tell you this... I'm gonna give you 600 bucks out of my own pocket. Yep. You heard me right. Give me a moment to explain why... A few weeks back, I was practically "suckered" i

My seminar series was guest-heavy. It really ticked me off to drive 1 hr to get to the site to hear more advertising and begging for recruiting, which took up a good portion of the time spent each evening. The seminar series also had past Forum grads who told stories that would correlate with each topic. The leader-in-training cried over her weight three weeks in a row, describing her breakth

Briggs, What you are feeling is orchestrated by Landmark. I felt the same way after my Sunday portion of the Forum was finished, and I could not wait to meet on Tuesdau with all the nice people at Forum. Even though I was completely aware there was not much basis for what I was feeling, I was happy as a clam, called a lot of people on MOnday and gushed. They all thought I was nuts. I coul

Unfortunately, anyone can "hang out a shingle" as long as they don't claim to be a licensed psychologist when they are not. For instance, a naturopath can counsel. As long as he or she does not claim to be licensed psychologist, it's legal (depending on the state). What makes it very difficult to prove they are practicing psychology without a license is the mind-body-spiri

I think LGATs can certainly bring out the dark side of human nature, in some people, ie since everything is meaningless, then do what the hell you want. ALso, according to what is said by LE, there are no victims, except those who ask for it, and they chose to be victims. It can probably feel really good to have all those boundaries released, especially by someone who is concerned with rules.

Be very careful of diagnosing prior sexual abuse if you do not know. Many people have the reactions your wife has when they see their parents, if they come from a dysfunctional family. That doesn't mean they were sexually abused. Unfortunately, when they then end up in dysfunctional therapy, post traumatic stress disorder, dissociation, and depression can result because of the therapy, o

Coz, Do you think there might be a sociopathic streak to AR which in part explains why he tells people what he did\does to them? It must be entertaining to him to see that some don't see what he's doing. My doctor did this also.

Hi Leftmama, There was some discussion about this group on the forum here. It may be within threads on Landmark. Do a search on sterling using the little icon "search" at the top of the page. The hits will include the word not only in titles but in the threads, too. I do recall reading about another "sterling wives'" concerns.

Peony, We have a great tool now to research just about everything - the internet. Also, it's important to know that New Age thought can be coertly used by mainstream therapists. New Age ideas are becoming mainstream and everything, even science, is being looked upon as authoritarian (and therefore "bad"). As Corboy suggested, Craigslist is a great starting point. From time

Rookie, I recall sitting at the forum watching the leader turn on the tears and marveling at the fact that he does this every week. There were other parts of the forum that I realized were staged (like the "plants"). So, here I'm simply wondering if I had done the forum first, instead of having LE technology slowly introduced and implanted over 2 yrs without knowing it was LE

Lonny's talent lies in turning the tears on and off with amazing speed and without slicing onions, but not well enough to recruit. He actually said that we were a tough group. I often put on the religious channel for entertainment purposes. There is one woman who looks just like Saturday Night Live's parody of Tammy Faye Baker. However, the 700 Club scares the bejesus out of me. I have a few relatives by marriage who are Christian fundamentalists who think nothing of filling my mailbox with propoganda, much like the Allah or Jesus op-ed by Rick Mathes that came

This short article sums up LF in so many ways. First, the "conversations" that were held in my Forum were about as extensive as the examples given in the article. The ridicule was about the same as described, and then that was the end of the discussion. Secondly, it sounds good to refer to a professional, here Dr. Nancy Zapolski. They just forget to mention that she is VP of LEC

Hi Jan, Welcome to the forum. I saw your profile and was anticipating your posts. You are "just out" so don't be surprised if you feel the need to go back, feel depressed, even grief. Your emotions will be up and down, and you will probably have a lot of self-doubt, think everything they said was right, then think everything they said was wrong. This is quite normal. It

mind control aspects of terrorism. I corresponded with someone from RAWA (revolutionary women of afghanistan) for awhile who said it they are routinely overlooked when it comes to inviting their speakers and reps to peace summits and conferences. RAWA people have underground schools that get little boys before they are indoctrinated into terrorist training camps. They also educate girls.

Glen, From my experience, the introductory session, the ones not part of a LF, were nothing like the Forum nor the Tuesday night part of the forum where participants were asked to bring guests. My intro was fun - very light-hearted and a lot of silliness, like a goofy Oprah show. It would be very easy for many people to think from this intro that the Forum is harmless, a lot of fun, and rea

Several people I've come to know thru a support group were not legally adopted by cults, but placed in the care of cult leaders by their parents. One group is an offshoot of Opus Dei, and the child at 13 was shipped off to South America for better schooling. The other cult was a home for problem children, whose leader somehow managed to convince the parents their kids were alcoholics. The

Ex-K, You are fortunate enough to have found a good resource to help in your recovery. Don't put a time frame on it. Recovery comes in leaps and bounds and lots of steps backwards. I was helped most by the reference materials offered at this site than with any therapist I went to. The internet not only helps expose these crooks, but now also offers lots of help for those who have bee
