Welcome, Shamrock. That's an interesting link to Charles Parham's biography. I'm inserting a link to your post in case this goes to a new page. I noticed that you have participated in several threads on this forum, so am assuming that you were not part of The Walk under John Robert Stevens or the more recent version of the group called The Living Word Fellowship under Gary Harg

Changed-- This thread you reposted is pure gold. Our own kind of hidden treasure. Another detail about John and his wife, Martha, was that all during the sixties and seventies JRS had "intercessors" praying for her death. At the same time, he was disgracing himself by seducing various women in the church. Martha finally divorced him. He wouldn't divorce her because oddly enou

Here is an interesting post from the day after Shalom made her historic FB post (which immediately went viral). Fromsouthchicago identified himself as Marilyn's cousin. ********************** Re: The Living Word Fellowship, The Walk, John Robert Stevens Posted by: fromsouthchicago () Date: October 26, 2018 08:46AM I think it's important for all of you to read this to understa

"There has been a lot of work on the Shiloh Cemetery (which is now called the Memorial Park). I'd get asked constantly to work all day on a Saturday and you say yes, because you don't feel the freedom to say no, even when pastors and leaders are constantly saying 'Don't do anything if you feel obligated.'" That right there. Not only were we made to feel oblig

Hi Bruce. Welcome. I was in the Sepulveda church during those years. I liked Martha too. What we didn't know back then was that JRS was carrying on with Marilyn (and others) for several years before the divorce. Nephilim spirits attacking children through the toilets is a new one on me. Wow! I'm sorry to hear about what you were put through. I don't know the current status of so

Another Christmas without the "Magical Caroling Truck". Wouldn't it have been fun to explain to newspeople that we don't celebrate Christmas and that's why we could work ourselves to death on Christmas Eve instead of spending time with our actual family? Maybe it should have been called The Chief Narcissist's Prey Truck. Oh well. Still hoping for some form of justice

Changed, I really appreciate how you have been curating and reposting important posts from varous individuals. Thank you. Onion's letter to Gary is dynamite. After all the information that has come out, I'm a bit surprised (even though I shouldn't be) that Gary Hargrave is making these outrageous claims about himself: "One of the leading prophetic voices to our generatio

In June of 2021, I posted this obsevation after rereading recoverdfinally's post. Re: The Living Word Fellowship, The Walk, John Robert Stevens Posted by: Reepicheep () Date: June 16, 2021 08:48AM The above stories reported regarding YASP in Shiloh are very much in keeping with what I know to be true. I know for a fact that young people in the program fainted, had heat exhaustion, an

Also, Marilyn claimed that she cleaned bathrooms in the early days of the Valley church (CLW). That story is utterly laughable, IMO. In fact, I'm laughing right now.

I think we all feel a bit sheepish about being so duped, so naïve, but we were living our lives with passion and it felt so right. The fault is not ours but the ones who led us over the cliff so cynically. We sacrificed family relationships, careers, friendships, and yea

From kBOY's WALK TALK Lexicon: Victory Siege = The heyday of Shiloh (summer of 1979--400+ people living in building) storming Heaven attempting to give God a black eye I always think of this when I hear "Under His Eye" in Handmaid's Tale. But really all the heaven stormers achieved was making themselves hoarse and giving themselves PTSD. And God help the poor children wh

I have a question. Whenever someone submitted something, especially during the G&M era, ministries would say they would "pray" about it or "wait on the Lord" about it. Did anyone actually observe this prayer and waiting on the Lord happen...ever?
