Wow, Changed. It seems like JRS was quite absorbed with money. It makes me feel a bit dense that I never realized this during his lifetime. Well, Dan S. would know. All I can say is tacky, tacky, tacky! Also, this is a very ugly part of the deception. It has affected several generations. "The idea that they have been played for years by unscrupulous, heartless leaders is too difficult to

These shepherds we were told to trust and be obedient without question is just sickening. Y

Wayne Barton was an early omen of what was to come in The Walk/TLWF. He had something JRS needed (being a gifted church organist) and therefore was tolerated and his molestation of church members was covered up. There were so many others; many were "apostolic ministries". Harold Williams (apostle to Brazil), Bill Arnold (JRS' brother-in-law), and Mel Bailey were some I heard about.

I heard that groups of people were told by Gary (and/or Bruce) that Gary Hargrave left

It kind of sounds like JS was the one with anger management problems, among other things, doesn't it? It's so disturbing and disappointing to learn how the TLWF hierarchy routinely covered up clergy sexual abuse of congregants, and most especially of children. A nice big millstone is probably what awaits them.

Typer, kBOY and Puddington, All I can say is that I knew some of what happened on "the farm", but I'm so glad that I didn't live there. What exactly was the purpose of eating someone's afterbith? Nauseating and weird. Of course, there was the time that Rocky chopped the head off of a turkey and the whole kingdom school had to watch.

And yet again I wonder aloud, "Did/do these people even believe in God? Or only in themselves and their right to riches and power?" Also, what the hell was Marilyn afraid of? Not letting her husband be taken to the hospital and properly cared for while he's dying of cancer? Making someone who is grieving sit through and observe the enbalming process? Keeping his body at home for

Imapurple, thank you for sharing. Your experience of sleeping on the couch at Kling while JRS was in the same room in his casket sounds very uncomfortable and surreal. Interesting that you mentioned the closed casket. I had been close to JRS several years before his death, but not so much after the major changes in the late seventies (hint: the changes revolving around Marilyn Holbrook). Since mo

Imapurple and Onion, Thank you both for shedding light into events that most of us knew nothing about. These are sad and upsetting revelations by those who were close to G&M back in the days leading up to and following June 4, 1983. Facts that were known by a few were never revealed to the general congregation. I remember being shocked by Rich's announcement on a Sunday night in South G
