LOL the heat makes you lazy not fanatical. Have you been anywhere hotter than Australia. People work... so... slowly. Most of the disciples here are actually from New Zealand anyway and they went to chants with Tusta back in the 70's. That is how lame it is that they mostly increased the cult since then by having a multitude of children. But it is still all the same hippies from the ISKCON d

What I don't understand is how Chris was all that different back then to how he is now. From accounts children were neglected and left to fend for themselves, others were poor and hungry, all the same brainwashing techniques were used and he had people waiting on him hand and foot. As soon as his guru died and even in the years beforehand he started on his political campaigns and business ve

Quotecultreporter I heard a lecture when he said "some people dont want to follow the Vedic injunction of giving half their income to Krishna. I only expect that my followers give half of that." Ha ha ha! Siddha gets a 50% pay decrease for doing nothing. Substitute the word 'Krishna' with 'me'. Is this really a vedic injunction and does this injunction mean that a

I was in the cult for a few years and I did come and go as I pleased and kept aloof from the group as much as possible but at 16 I was told that there was a devotee who was assigned specifically to look out for me and all the other younger students without parents. There was a disciple assigned to accept money on Siddha's behalf that every body knew about. Devotees are not rewarded per s

Yes I don't think that yoga nidra is a dispicable practice. Deep breathing excercises are not the same thing either. By mentally relaxing each body part as the instructor is suggesting to you starting with the individual toes on the left foot and then right, balls of your feet, heels, backs of you feet etc., and yes they do go into almost every single body part imaginable, what this is doing

Hi Freeatlast, What you are saying I could agree to that there would be good people in the cult and many thoughtful decent people thinking that SOI says a lot of truth and holds many worthy values who would find it a place where one can belong. The same was said about ISKCON when in the 60s and 70s that they helped to get a lot of people off drugs and offered shelter for those who needed i

Quotejust-googling Do we have it on tape when Butler is asking his followers to commit suicide when he dies so that they may follow him? I'm sure this is not on any of the public lectures and probably on the "in-house" recordings that they are guarding the public from listening to. Yes unfortunately noone has gone through their wardrobes as yet to find any of old lectures they

You believe that specifically there would be no shooting or burning of children and adults. The members of Science of Identity belong to a doomsday cult who are taught to think instinctively that Chris Butler (an increasingly reclusive, paranoid, fanatical, tempremental, peurile, narcisistic and aging cult leader) is in direct communication with God and that his every word is the will of God.

Zelig, you're acting as an authority on SOI is a little doubtful. You were there a whole 20 years and you finally figured there is enough evidence that it's damaging - strong word too. If SOI wanted to clear their reputation and state that anything said on this forum is untrue they are perfectly capable of that. Hi Atheist, This site that Cara found is an absolute must read. Not only do SOI engage in downright dispicable politics they engage in the same with business. The site is made by nice people who built a business on the web promoting vegetarianism of all things. SOI comes along and tries to bully them into accepting their business. Then they try to steal this and other site's business. The

I'm not sure which groups you all were involved in but religious groups can use pretty strong brain changing techniques and indoctrination. They start with absolute statements that *seem* logical and non-contradictory and build on that. If you accept these absolut

There really is little point of arguing with SOI or any other group on a philosophical level as this is not what is keeping members in SOI. Like with GM, ISKCON and christian groups alike when a member behaves in an irreligious manner the cult's practice is to simply cover-up the offending information as if it never existed. Once there is cover-ups future criminal behaviors are acceptable as

Gaudiya, It was obvious that you were GM and you can't come on to cult forum preaching your cult (after we agreed that your guru was not to be mentioned) and then you go on to criticise Cara's work still expecting that your guru is above criticism. It is by your logic only that Bhatisiddhanta is false. I wonder if your guru was Tirtha Maharaj and then I would not be suprised that you
