There are some comments about how when people stop doing the BK system of manipulation, they can get depressed. They can even think at times that since the BK manipulation system doesn't work as advertised, that means humans can't manage their thoughts and feelings. That is a very serious mistake to make. Its understandable why someone would think that due to the mountain of misin

Guy Finley's overall salespitch is actually identical to Byron Katie... Quote: END STRESS, GRIEF, WORRY, and DEPRESSION. Discover the happy life! That's the exact same salespitch. END - stress/worry (anxiety) grief/depression. So Guy Finley is telling you he can end your depression and anxiety, which is almost all of human problems! And he can make you happy too, he says.

Any so-called "therapist" who hooks people into Byron Katie and refers them to her dangerous LGAT seminar needs to be reported to their licensing committee. (if they have one). Many so-called therapists are totally unregulated, and can be completely incompetent, or also running their own Byron Katie style "Life-Coaching" business, or be Mind-washed by Byron Katie themselves.

That is a really good point that needs repeating. Perpetrators, like adults who mistreat children, always use psychological manipulation against their victims. And if they ever get caught, the immediately jump to "forgive and forget" often using a religion. So that is also seen in the Byron Katie program as well, forgive and forget what she did, but with an added wrinkle. Use the Turn

That statement by Byron Katie "All sadness is a tantrum", says a lot. First off, she is always saying how nothing can be known. But all she ever does is make declarative statements, she promotes as "true". More importantly, "All sadness is a tantrum", is completely wrong. There is healthy sadness, and unhealthy extreme sadness like severe depression which nee

And of course, don't forget, BK is asking for donations to what, and for what? To her own Foundation, The Work Foundation. Then where does that money go? As they say, that money then gets transfered back into the for-profit private companies owned by Byron Katie Inc, and her associates, to pay for the ticket to the seminar, or Turnaround House. What unmitigated gall. Asking people t

On her blog, she posts some alleged anonymous "letter" from a person with who says they have very serious problems. ...Clinical depression, binge eating, trauma, PTSD, rape, self-abuse, self-destruction, suicidality... I agree with much of what Steve Salerno said above, but some parts need more refinement. One of the things which has been mentioned in this thread many times, is that those who SELL these advanced persuasion techniques EXAGGERATE what they can do, so they can charge more money for it. Its the scammers, scamming the wannabe scammers. That is why one should never purchase any of their products

also, one other last thing. Just because someone says they are against the claims that Byron Katie makes about treating mental health issues, etc, doesn't mean they are not a senior BKI person, or someone who does the BK work for a living. Of course, if a person is not functioning, then a good psychologist or psychiatrist would have to assess them, to try and find out what is happening. one of the worst "teachings" of Byron Katie is around childhood sexual abuse and child rape. Why does she do this? In terms of her audience, she knows that many in her audience have suffered childhood sexual abuse of some sort, as that can lead to terrible pain that affects people for many years. She targets people who are in severe PAIN. But BK says she was also sexually abused
