Me too. I don’t know if there is a difference between the Holy Spirit and the following quote:

Thomas Carlyle --- "Under all speech that is good for anything, there lies a silence that is better. Silence is as deep as eternity; speech is shallow as time."

Both concepts impart a comfort when given the chance. At least no Kingdom Apostle has come along and declared that silence can only be accessed by those in submission.

An interesting observation I read on the Internet about people who stay. These are people who are intense and involved and caring. They hang on to the religion (cult) longer than those who simply "walk away" because they try to make it work even when they have doubts. Sometimes this is out of fear but often it is out of devotion. These are people for whom ethics, integrity, and compassion matter a great deal. I find that when they get better and rebuild their lives, they are wonderfully creative and energetic.

Hello. I'm another ex-member, first-time posting here. I was born into the group, after JRS died. Anyone from the San Diego church here?

HEADLINE NEWS: Wait For It, Wait For It, Wait For It . . .

"You Are Here By Destiny And These Promises Belong To You"
June 28, 2016

"God spoke many Kingdom promises over our founding father John Robert Stevens throughout the course of his life. (Either God was a liar or these were the fantasies of men.)

"His response was, 'I refuse this prophecy as an individual . . . , I accept it only as an apostleship of the Kingdom in which many shall participate, many shall walk, many shall flourish' (August 7, 1976)." (Either JRS was a genuine prophet or merely a man who believed in the fantasies of men. And we all know now who stood to profit from the prophet.)

"Many have labored with this vision for a future generation that would receive the fullness of what God promised." (Not only did we worked them to the bone and fleece their finances with no fulfillment, you are now next in line to drink the same Kool-Aid.)

"In this landmark service for the young adult school of prophets I, along with the pastors and ministries, laid hands on each of the young people in attendance." (At that point, Child Protective Services should have been called in and removed them from another round of abuse.)

I'm just sayin' . . .

LITTLEBIRD:

Welcome.

San Diego is probably well represented here, with enough familiarity with both past and present, to be able to lend some perspective.

Thanks. I'd like to know how the San Diego church has changed. What's happened there in the past 10 years? Does anyone know?

BREAKING NEWS: The Ghost of Shiloh Past

"Our Heart's Cry For His Presence"

June 28, 2016

"We listened to a message by Marilyn Hargrave titled 'Our Heart's Cry' from March 17, 1987." (Proof that it's the same-o same-o decade after decade.)

"Marilyn poured out her heart that Shiloh exist for a single purpose--be a dwelling place for God." (Still waiting after 30 years . . . )

"She opened our hearts to participate in a time of deep travail to cause God's hand to move (still proving we will never win an arm-wrestling match with God), and for us individually to find a heart relationship with Him (i.e. through the very successful hierarchy of designated relationships)."

"We take Marilyn's words as our repentance (and subsequent self-condemnation) before entering the School of Prophets, allowing them to scrape the layers off of our lives (i.e. all the abuses suffered in the name of TLW) that cover over our hunger to walk with God."

Oh, happy daze . . .

BREAKING NEWS: This is the End--Again

"God's Heart In The End Time"

June 29, 2016

"We must not be ignorant (only gullible) about end-time events and the spirit behind them (the 'loving' judgments of Christianity?)."

"Be prepared to have a Word from God (or a tattered 'ThisWeek') to speak about these events (like in 1979?) . . ."

This message gives us a deeper understanding (i.e. confusion) of God's heart in the end time (as in welcoming HOME the son in the Prodigal Parable?) and of the antichrist spirit that is set to destroy mankind (the U.S. elections or Brexit?)."

It's the end of the world as we know it . . .

Welcome Littlebird. Feel free to express yourself.

P.S. San Diego is probably overrepresented here (teasing).

BREAKING NEWS: Visions of Sugar Plums

"The Vision That Leads Us"

June 29, 2016

"In 1972, the Lord gave our founder, John Robert Stevens, a vision (hallucination) of what He would create in this fellowship of churches (which never came to pass)."

"First, Stevens saw that we would learn to care for one another in perfect love as the family of God (something that was obviously never learned)."

"Second, that we would become a prophetic community wholly led by the Spirit of the Lord (or better yet, a small ruling-class within APCO led by self-interest)".

"This vision (hallucination), more amazing than what we could grasp at the time (still waiting to be amazed), continues to be a guiding light for us (as it continues to funnel funds into a few pockets)."

"Through a miracle impartation, much of the vision has been fulfilled (if you tell a lie enough times . . .)"; however it is still what God is doing in our midst (without any evidence to prove it)."

"Jesus' prayer to the Father was that 'they may all be one even as You and I are one.' (translated in TLW as 'our way or the highway')."

"God is ready to take us into another level of being family (with those we have not kicked out), ministering His love (that would be the TLW brand), and being a prophetic community led by His Spirit (i.e. the top-tier of TLW leadership)."

Tongues & interpretation . . .
