the reply was to what acesandates quote below.
Reepicheep gave an excellent reply. I think this quote and reply is worth repeating for all the newcomers to the forum whether or not they have jumped into the active discussions. I have one of many possible examples to disputes Acesandates "feelings"

The comments of feeling that "packed services" were proof of an anointing have concerned me about discernment as has the discernment
of the people who 'solidly packed' Megga Frauds such as Benny Hin who is only one example of solidly packed
believers to be preyed upon. How many other TLW's "feel" the same without any real proof- simply a "feeling"?
Benny HIn Proof of Fraud
Benny Hinn: PROOF OF FRAUD & SCAM & DIVORCE
Televangelist Pastor Benny Hinn is a fraud, scam, divorcee, and cheat. Benny Hinn preys on weak-minded people to convince them he can use “faith-healing” to cure their illnesses so that they donate over $100,000,000 per year to support his extraordinarily lavish lifestyle.
JRS, then Marilyn and Gary did not use the Latter Rain teachings with "faith healing"
to build their empire. ( Yes, Hinn and JRS were involved with Latter Rain- all too many frauds came out of that movement.) They were teaching other significant Latter Rain believes tho'. ( Occult basically means that the teaching is not accepted by the main stream Christianity.)
I will guess that many in TLW did not have time to Benny Hin nor the other 'in the name of Jesus illusionists' fraud who had solidly packed services televised. ( They did not miss anything.) I only watched all these TV frauds because my late father loved to watch them all- and I spent time with my dad. These charlatans were better at their "magic shows productions' than JRS was. JRS used the same techniques and anyone who gets glued to the TV or who attended a 'solidly packed service" felt
something as well.
I find it interesting that many 'religious illusionists" have in common infidelity and live lavish lifestyles. They take from the poor and needy but do not really give anything except highly emotional entertainment. I believe that that is what JRS did. The invisible mantle that M & G claimed was based on the show that JRS put on- much like Benny Hin

There are numerous researchers ( I have researched I Latter Rain as well) who have analyzed the teachings of JRS as "occult ties" and there are questionable financial money deception
within TCLW that has needs legal investigation. (Don't forget that Gary Harves ran with the alleged mantle of JRS and how many people took that word as fact?)
