I heard it was an independent investigation. Nothing beyond that, as yet.

So All of this is very interesting. So much history, so much hurt. I’m new to this but have been reading it for years. I was VERY involved in the back side of all this with JRS , G&M , Rick and everything that was going on at Blix, CLW, TLW and Shiloh. I just want to say I have so much love for so many and know a great deal of healing is still needed for so many including myself. I wasn’t going to post anything because I didn’t see it to be necessary or maybe it was just fear. At least this is a start

Thanks so much for all your information, Dick. I never understood why about so many things that the adults at the time could have and should have intervened about.
Reep and I were teenagers in the '60's and aspiring "help meets for a future pastor". We were obedient children who did know things were off but no power at the time. OOPS we have good memories tho'. Thanks for the eventual validation and filling in the gaps with truth that makes sense.

I'm so glad that you decided to join the conversation, Imapurple. Welcome! I believe that talking amongst ourselves, the survivors, really helps with healing. I'm familiar with what I believe to be the meaning of your name, and you have my deepest empathy for all you have been through.

Welcome to you too, John Duffy. It's wonderful to hear that you have found new meaning in life since leaving the Walk/TLWF.

Also, a very belated thank you to tryingtohelp for your post on May 17th.

"Aspiring helpmeets for a future pastor." Lol. I know, right? Little did we know what lay in store for such obedient children. But good memories...yes.

Welcome, Imapurple. We look out for each other here...even when we get feisty with each other, as siblings are wont to do :)
Feel free to post.

Welcome Imapurple. That’s a great name. I recall the “purples” being discussed on this forum and some people didn’t believe that they really existed. I was a part-time purple, so I know what this means. They really did exist. Sort of like Marilyn’s SS squad.

Welcome. Full steam ahead with the healing.
