So, from the above three posts, it would seem that at least one-half of the production team for this film ( Eagle Island Films ) has as its president and executive producer this man, Walter Maksym , who was at one time also personal attorney for Werner Erhard , and who was involved somehow in the publication of the book, [i:dee508e0f6] 60 Minutes and the Assassination of Werner Erhard[/i:dee508e0f6]. This is making this "documentary" seem less and less like a documentary at all, and more and more like a non-neutral " puff piece " film, cobbled together by friends of Werner Erhard, check that, not simply friends of Werner Erhard, but individuals that were at least at one point in time his personal attorney(s), or employees!

The Anticult
Its most likely that Landmark is opening the movie
"Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard" in New York City to try and get some response from some film critics. If they are able to get a few even neutral responses from critics, then the movie becomes another tool in their arsenal of propagandizing the public. They will use it to try and trick even more people into Landmark.
So its critical that anyone who knows the damage Landmark can do to people, to immediately contact as many film critics as they can to get the true story about this fake documentary out.
If it turns out that the producers of this film are trying to deceive the critics about who is behind it, many critics will get extremely angry and will write about that.
What if it turns out this movie was simply commissioned by Werner Erhard himself, through Landmark Education...
and then financed somehow by Landmark, using Werner Erhard's apparent former attorney Walter Maksym of Eagle Island Films to "channel" the money...(channel in the alleged "spiritual" sense, of course)...
and then using Robyn Symon as a front-man posing as the independent filmmaker...??
...the critics would find that type of information very interesting.
Who financed the movie?
Did Walter Maksym of Eagle Island Films finance the movie? Where did the money come from?
Why is Walter Maksym's name not disclosed on sites like IMDB as Executive Producer?
Why does Landmark Education own the movie copyright?
Its essential to get these questions out to movie critics [b:1168d8bbe0]today[/b:1168d8bbe0], as if any of them see the movie currently in NYC, they can question the filmmakers about it. If it turns out the filmmakers try to deceive the critics about who is behind the movie, that could destroy the entire intent of the movie, as they will trash it in their review. It could waste all the Landmark money put up to make it.
One can also make cross-posts at movie sites, just to give people a heads-up that everything is certainly not legit with this alleged documentary about Werner Erhard.
Many people are starting to say that...
...Werner Erhard commissioned a fake-documentary about himself, and got his former hacks at Landmark to finance it through Walter Maksym of Eagle Island Films, who got Robyn Symon to pose as the front-man to pretend it is an independent film.
Is that what happened?
Is this movie another hoax and fake documentary?
One wonders why everything involved with Werner Erhard appears to be based on deception...

and about IMDB, might be a good idea to put some informative posts in the IMDB message board under some new creative topic headings, which hopefully might get some answers to your questions, above.

Review: "Transformation: The Life & Legacy of Werner Erhard" (AFF)

I Just Don't Get It
What is "est?"
According to who you ask, it's an acronym for Erhard Seminar Training or merely Latin for "it is." Not exactly a religion, but more of a way of thinking, est was thought to be a cult by many, and was even targeted by the Church of Scientology for "stolen technology" in the early 1990s.
However, I don't think you'll find an answer to the question in Transformation: The Life & Legacy of Werner Erhard. Instead, you'll get vague bits and pieces, but never the whole picture. With video tape footage of est seminars from the ‘70s and ‘80s, there are brief glances into the world of Werner Erhard, the founder of est. At these seminars, Erhard would often yell at the attendees, telling them that they didn't know "their ass from a hole in the ground."
...
The problem with Transformation, however, is that it reads like a love letter to Erhard, rather than a true examination of the man. To someone like me, who was too young to really remember the est movement, this is a fascinating story. But in the documentary, we only see one side. Erhard's interviews are backed up by supporters, former co-workers and reconciled family members. It's as if est could do no wrong.
...

"The reason I took on this project is I saw the ideas and programs Werner and his associates created had a powerful impact in the lives of many people and still do, though many people aren't aware they're still in existence today in a big way.
I wanted to make these transformational tools available, unfiltered by the news media. Journalists do research by gathering other news stories, and those stories feed on each other. So there's agreement about certain facts taken from those 'sources'. But that agreement does not necessarily represent the truth.
This documentary is an opportunity for Werner's work to speak for itself, and for you to experience him as more than a charismatic seminar leader or a subject of a sensational headline. Rather, it's an insight into an extraordinary mind and a compassionate man. And perhaps more importantly, it's an opportunity for people to walk away with a powerful possibility in their own lives." ... Robyn Symon
Quote
Who is this relatively late comer to the conversation for transformation, this at first skeptical (as I had heard) late comer who has out of nowhere created what some, fans and begrudging naysayers alike, are now calling "the best thing done on Werner - ever"? Who is Robyn Symon like a possibility? ... Or could her work actually impart the possibility of transformation, the work of Werner Erhard?
...
And if she does something great, surely she would then be characterized simply as an award winning journalist who got influenced by a cult?
...
What got me sitting up and taking notice was [b:138cb2ec35]her saying she had no idea there was any connection between Werner Erhard and the Landmark Forum nor with the erstwhile est training[/b:138cb2ec35]. And what got me really interested was when she finally did find out about the connection, she was mildly irritated that the Landmark Forum could even remotely be connected to "that cult", a phrase she punctuates with twinkling laughter.
...In Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard, Robyn Symon has finally set the record straight.
