Found the site - []

but i’m slightly puzzled, the site creator doesn’t appear to be an ex-member nor is any mention of the site owner having attended SMC at all present, or any interaction with SMC members or leadership.

To illustrate my point here is an excerpt:

"Whatever the facts are, I would welcome any information. Your anonymity is safe with me. I don't want to make enemies of these guys. They sound scary and evil!"

Could be someone who is very suspicious of cults. But why target SMC ? I suppose they could have children there, or live near there. but i’m a little wary of this.

the person also wants people to contact them by email - which could just be a way to track down the identity of the sender, for who knows what reason.

God Bless

Good afternoon.
Seekingsusan, I appreciate your input. That is my site you've linked.
Wariness is wise. When doing the first page I said I would be happy to hear from people, regarding this Church.
"Happy" was a bad choice of word. More like shock.
But yes you are right. It wasn't exactly intended to invite chat. I was looking for information, and have been reading up on this thread too.
Didn't really want to join the chat but I thought I should post, given I have aroused suspicion. Apologies. And though the site will stand until 18th January, I have realised I am completely surplus. Redundant before employed. lol.
I still find them scary, but I don't and didn't mean I was fearing my safety.
With all I have read so far, it is only the safety of the future victims.
I am not a rabid cult-hater but do have personal and professional grievances against them, more as a company than as a church, though, yes I have attended and seen with my own eyes. I couldn't properly believe the failings spoken about widely. Now I can. Does my domain name not suggest this? I had hoped it would.
I updated my site, trying to say thanks and that I had all the links to information. I will continue to answer emails but there is absolutely no need for my site to stay open. I won't re-edit it but may just add a note to clear up. Though suspicion, wariness, paranoia, etc, these seem to be common traits among survivors and members alike. Like I said, I need no more input, it is already on display.
So the nature of my intent? Private but harmless. Just passing through, gathering intel. You may notice interest in strutherschurch from watchdogs who want transparent finances (reasonable). Appearances suggest OSCR are struggling to make them make the grade. So they will wait, but not for long. While schools can exist as charities, they have to break even at least. It would be better to overhaul the charity, separating the school from the church. Given the evidence of nepotism, it would mean basically all present staff would be replaced. The school's board of governors seems to be the same as Struthers board of directors. How very odd and enmeshed the whole thing is.
But I do not feel I should be a contributor here. I will read on, but I don't think I can be useful here.
Mr Dredd (!?), 22 000? Are you sure? There must be some mistake, surely.
I have admiration for people here, trying to raise awareness and prevent further bad practice and damage. I thank everyone for candid reports and I hope I have cleared up any suspicions. Further, I wish you luck in your continued efforts.
Yours faithfully, Vinny

How are we all? I just wanted to say, "See you all in the New Year!"
And welcome Vinny...please do keep reading, you will see just how deep the rabbit-hole goes. :( Not good reading, but... Can I be a bit forward and just ask, are you a journo by any chance? Not that I have a problem with that, if so. (Some of my best friends are journos...haha.) Anyway, none of my business.

I actually came on to say. I am unafraid to pray or believe. This is for me, almost incredible. Don't know who to thank the most. Good folks of the forum or medical help. Thanks all. :)

Regards and happy days! See you in 2014.

Happy New Year, everyone! It's so good to have an SMC-free Christmas and New Year, when one can choose what they want to do or not do at this season. It's good not to have to listen to a verbal lashing from the platform at New Year, telling us how we had slipped off the sharp edge whilst spending Christmas with our families and that we were thus unprepared to meet God at the New Year conference. This did happen, I'm not kidding. Then we got a temporary boost from receiving the annual New Year Word, but the reassurance didn't last long and we were back struggling again to try to please God, I mean, sorry, please the leadership. So so good to be free at this festive season.

I just want to say too that I agree with most of what C-barb-again wrote on 21st December (See Page 53), because I have read up on a lot of that stuff myself. As you say, Cbarb, we should research things and find out what is going on in the world right now and be aware of the influences which may affect us from without.
I don't think that Cbarb is insane or off balance at all, in writing what she has.

I can assure you, Happy Survivor, that Cbarb did not get this way of thinking and researching, and didn't get this kind of information, from or in SMC. They take very little interest in the outside world, in other churches or religions or in what other Christian leaders and prophets are saying and warning. The SMC leaders think they know everything and say they only hear from God, so they don't see the need to read what others have written about the times we're living in. We used to get cautioned not to read or take an interest in such writings; also, the reading of the Bible's Book of Revelation was played down or said to be historical in content. In SMC, there's no unity displayed with other Christians or churches.

I remember the day that 9/11 happened and we went to the SMC evening-meeting still in shock at what had occurred in America. At that meeting, there was not one mention of the disaster, neither during the speaking nor during the prayer-time. Everyone thought it would be spoken about. No, nothing. Perhaps because they didn't have televisions, the leaders didn't realise how bad it was. People asked the leaders about the disaster during the ensuing week, and as a result, a statement was made about it at the Saturday night meeting. It was just so cold and uncaring, with the idea that we shouldn't be thinking about the tragedy.

Cbarb was in SMC for many years so she has witnessed a lot more than many folk have and what she says re Miss Taylor's actions is true.

Have a great 2014, everyone!

Ok people - I had resolved not to post here again, since - as rightly asserted, I cannot claim direct “victimhood” from SMC like many others here.

I do occasionally dip in to see if there are any new posters offering fresh testimonies of more recent SMC abuses but vowed to myself not to post ever again.

However since my middle-name clearly is Skeptic - and never shied away from it here - it was with great dismay to see a fellow SMC critic undo hers and other work here by giving plenty of ammo to the SMC leaders to deliver on their podiums.

Does HAARP exist ? sure. Does that mean that there is any basis or facts suggesting we should enter into fear mongering, and conspiracy-tainted paranoia regsading HAARP that cbarb and her “research” suggests ?

I think not. The same kind of panic started up briefly for the LHC at Geneva too.

It should always start triggering mental warning lights when one sees several conspiracy or “Coast To Coast AM” type subjects appear regularly in the same type of “believer blogs”. UFOS, contrails, Anal Probes, 911 Truthers, go ahead. Dip in.

Hell - why not just go listen to Art Bell or Coast To Coast Am on internet radio - and enjoy a panoply of all manner of supernatural, woo and conspiracy claims. Or go listen to Whitley Striebers podcast. Those of the kind of minds that are so open-minded their grey matter is in danger of falling out will really really love his show. Go ahead HAARP “researchers" - you’ll love it. Right up your street it seems.

OTOH - At the end of this post I will link to a podcast by - yes - sceptics. I would beg you all to be as open minded to this - as some here appear to be towards this HAARP worry-hobby paranoia.

We live in an era where there truly are things happening of immensely greater significance and danger than this HAARP nonsense.

Stuff that we all need to be very aware of - and yet - thanks to science denialism - nothing has been done.
I talk of man made global warming. Unlike this HAARP nonsense there is clear and unequivocal consensus among scientists who specialist in climatology and related research areas for this. The results of REAL research keep coming out and sadly only reiterate that things are worse than predicted. Its probably too late to do anything now. That time passéd long ago.

Vaccine denial. Another false scare fallen for by so many. And now we have a situation where diseases such as measles are on the rise again after decades of winning this fight with vaccinations. Thanks a bunch vaccine scaremongers.

Then this year we have the Snowden NSA revelations.
Want something to be scared and paranoid about ?
I’d suggest focusing on the above - and how future internet, drone and surveillance technologies will affect all of us. No woo in this. Its happening now.

And another thought - our National Health system is being systematically and stealthily taken to bits and privatised under the carpet. Virgin PLC looking to get a nice big slice of the action. This deserves almost conspiracy like language but i’ll step back from that.

Hi folks,

Happy New Year.

Yes, Clive there are many scary things going on in this world because of the greed for power over the masses by the few.

We see that played out in a smaller scale in SMC.

ALL of what is going on in the world of science and the military just now is focused on the plan for "New World Order", as spoken of by not just U.S. politicians but our very own politicians for many years now.

This so called New World Order has some very definite and DOCUMENTED plans - not least of which is the dramatic REDUCTION in human life on the planet.

I'm not telling people to be scared into hiding or something. I'm telling people to be scared into action. Or they will not be able to stand against these very wealthy few who are indeed trying to gain power over the whole world.

It's not a conspiracy theory but a conspiracy fact.

Are you in favour of the whole world being under a one World government, with a single currency (which will not be in the form we know as money, but held in a chip implanted under the skin)? Not only that, but the rulers of this one World government will be the few most wealthy individuals currently on the planet.

Do you want to be ruled by these few people who care absolutely nothing about your wellbeing or beliefs.

I certainly don't and if you read the documented evidence from both sides of the Atlantic and don't want to take action to stop it then it's too late already. Because it will happen if ordinary people just stand by and let it happen.

In Iceland, they overthrew their government to stop them bailing out the big banks but we just meekly stood by and let our government do the same thing and let the tax payer pay for it.

It's easy to say it's all just quack nonsense but to get the big picture you have to go all the way back to the 1700's and read the history books with a mind to following the money rather than the glory.

You see, it struck me that if I and so many others could be so easily duped into having what appeared to be 'spiritual experiences' while attending SMC, then it couldn't be that hard for the same techniques to be used on a wider scale. The media, television, press, entertainment industry (follow the money in these industries, it's an eye-opener).

Like I said before, I had my wake-up moment when I attended an air show near Devon. It was during the Red Arrows fly-past that I experienced a feeling like those so-called 'spiritual moments' in SMC. That was the first time I made the correlation between 'spiritual experiences' and the science of adrenalin and endorphins.

I began to trace back through all the 'spiritual experiences' I'd had and I started to REALLY read the Bible without the constraints of other peoples' interpretations and beliefs.

Doing so really opened my mind and my understanding of how easy it is to be moulded into a specific shape by someone else's ideas and theology. That took me into a deeper study of the history of religions and the scientific research into the age of the planet and various 'lost' civilisations and so on.

It's when you find out that people, at various times, in recent history have actually developed ways to provide sustainable energy for FREE to the whole world, without oil or coal or gas, but all of these inventors and scientists have had their inventions suppressed by the energy industry and most (if not all) have wound up dead. Find out who actually OWNS all the big energy companies (you might get a shock).

There is a huge web of deceit and manipulation going on and it's been planned meticulously for many years.

I don't know how many on the forum were baptised in the Holy Spirit during their time at SMC but I know some were.

I remember when I was 'Baptised' very clearly. I had the deepest desire to please my parents, I wasn't the most well behaved kid for the most part. Now I love my parents dearly and am quite sure that they didn't realise the signals they sent out but they had a very marked difference in their behaviour towards us kids when we were 'with' the church and behaving like 'saved Christians'.

I therefore felt that being 'more Holy' was a way to be loved by my parents so, even although I could see the hypocrisy all around me, I did my best to be a 'good Christian' and not 'back-slide'. I had asked around various people in the church who had been baptised in the spirit, what it felt like; how it happened and so on and the consensus seemed to be that you just 'let your mouth and your tongue go and God starts to speak through you in weird words'.

I had listened for many years to people 'speaking in tongues' - and even made fun of one or two of them when I was younger - so I had a kind of idea how the 'language' went. I mean, not that everyone was saying the same things but there was a kind of underlying pattern to it just the same.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I think everyone was faking it there may have been a small number of people who might have had a REAL anointing; but nowhere near as many as CLAIMED to be baptised in the Holy Spirit.

Anyway, my desperation to please my parents coupled with the guilt and self-flagellation, I'd learned from spending all my learning years in SMC finally led to me feeling so unworthy even my parents couldn't love me.

With all this guilt and oppression on my heart I went to a Sunday morning service in PG and during the prayer time, my Dad laid his hands on my head and began praying.

I interject here, only to point out that I feel it is possible to pass energies such as feelings of love between two people (that's why a good hug from a loved one always makes you feel better).

While my Dad prayed with his hands on my head, I got the biggest rush of love and mistook this for a spiritual experience and, because of this I thought well this must be the point I should be speaking in tongues. So I thought about what everyone I'd spoken to had told me about just letting your tongue go and making a noise and I let my tongue go and just started forming gibberish words with the underlying patterns which were burned in my mind from years of exposure to them.

What happens in SMC is mass hypnosis on a fairly small scale in terms of members but it has had a huge effect on the lives of the people who've gone through the doors and come out the other side of the madness.

You might think that because you don't have any beliefs and you're a very level headed person that you wouldn't succumb to brain washing yourself. The truth is that you are being brain washed at nearly every level from school onwards.

Why are old folks freezing to death in this country because they can't afford their heating bills? And yet the technology exists to create FREE sustainable energy for everyone on the whole planet without the use of fossil fuels or gases and with no adverse effect on the ozone.

Why? Because no one would be making a profit if we all had FREE energy.

Why are big corporations (check the owners of these too) buying up the worlds' fresh water supplies?

These are FACTS and very important facts and this is why people need to be getting hopping mad and not just scared of a one world government. There are enough ordinary people on this planet to put a stop to the mass hypnosis and stop this plan becoming a reality if we really want to.

We need to encourage scientists to keep working on devices to give everyone free energy and we need to make sure this work can't be thwarted any more by the big oil barons.

What about cancer cures? There have been successful experiments with promising cancer cures - strangely the inventors of these cures have turned up dead and their research 'disappeared'. How convenient for the big pharmaceutical companies who want you to keep taking their ineffective medicines.

Yep, the truth is we are all being manipulated in one way or another from the cradle to the grave.

You just need to make sure you find out all the facts for yourself and decide whether or not you want to be a man of action or a humble servant. We all have freedom of choice in that respect.

We don't all have to agree on every aspect, as Rensil points out, but there can be no disagreement on the facts surrounding plans for a new world order, through a One World Government, which we will have no say in electing.

With a big enough voice we might even re-write Revelations, who knows, but I don't want to sit on the fence any more and accept it all as 'inevitable'. Nothing is 'inevitable' unless you allow it to be so.

As always biiiiiiiig love and huge hugggggggggs for 2014
God Bless xxxxx

Happy New Year to you Rensil!
Clive, how goes life? It's been ages. Did you just try to beat down some debatable examples with more debatable examples? A massive own goal!
But you know you should not come here simply to disagree or "educate" any of us. To do that you need smc-style arrogance and total self-belief. (It looks like you can claim victimhood...whether you want to or not).
Still, it would be nicer all round if you could not be so spiteful in telling us un-thinking drones your truth. You are not the cleverest guy on Earth, so why try to belittle others?
Not that it works...
Anyway, I do hope you are back to enrich the conversation rather than just to have digs at people. And, truthfully...missed ye old chap!
Cbarb, you are sooo patient and inoffensive. "Like"

Regards all, and happy days. Cornelius

Hi folks

The reason we have not had any answers to our burning questions on this forum is because the leaders of Struthers Memorial Church CANNOT answer these questions without damaging the hold they have over current members. The truth is that they have NO powers of discernment and they DO NOT have any kind of special monopoly over God's will for His people.

You folks who have been told that these charlatans can 'see' sins that you have never committed should just laugh this off as another technique to manipulate and coerce you into believing these people have some special powers.

Some of you have never even been told what these 'perceived sins' are and that's because they don't exist. This is a great example of how easy it is to confound and confuse people into thinking these people can read minds or look into the future for you.

In fact, people who do believe the SMC leaders need to take a moment out to ask "What's the difference between what SMC leaders do and what mediums and hypnotists do?" They all glean information in covert ways and then use that information as if it were being transmitted to them from the spiritual realm. Classic hypnosis and mind-bending.

Here's something that's been going round in my mind.

The power of prayer or, if you prefer, the power of meditation.

Considering we generate energy continually as we go about our daily lives, it's fairly safe to assume that we do actually exude energy in a field around us. These energies change with our moods and feelings, which can be perceived by those around us (depending on how strong our energies happen to be at the time). You'll no doubt have had experience of situations where "you could cut the atmosphere with a knife" covers the discomfort you feel at being in the situation. This is because even if no one speaks, the energies in the room can be physically perceived by a newcomer to the situation.

It's feasible, to me at least, that even a thought can change the energy we exude. And this brings me around to prayer or meditation - there's very little difference between the two.

Prayer is supposed to be about asking God to give His Love and Grace to everyone of our fellow living beings on the planet and to bless the Earth to allow us to continue to enjoy the world we live in.

I don't know about other churches but in SMC prayer was more focused on 'finding a better place with God' for yourself and everything was about the 'self'. If this is how other churches teach their people to pray then it's small wonder we're in the state we are now.

Meditation teaches you to be at one with the planet and humanity and, to my mind, this is far closer to what the Bible teaches about praying than what I learned in Struthers Memorial Farce.

I really think that if every adult around the world just spent 5 minutes a day quietly sending out thoughts of real love and peace to all of humanity and the planet itself, we could create a really different energy around this world.

That's what I believe the Bible is trying to teach us. Not how to be holier than your friends and neighbours, but how to CONNECT with each other and make a collective difference just through our ENERGY of LOVE, GRACE and PEACE.

Take healing for instance; some of you may have experienced a relative or friend being healed because a group got together to PRAY for their recovery. In these cases I believe it is the energy of healing thoughts coming from the group and directed to the individual, which facilitates the healing process. I believe this because there are documented healings around the world, which were not facilitated by religious groups but by normal individuals who don't claim to be Christians or Muslim or any particular religion.

It's such a simple message and yet very powerful if I'm right about us being able to generate such an awesome energy that would be able to effect peace around the earth.

The Bible does say that even a single 'thought' can have devastating consequences, which must mean that it can also have amazing consequences if the thought is intended to do good rather than harm.

All just food for thought, though because it's one thing doing research about what's going on the world but it's another thing finding a way to fight it.

Which brings me to the point in the Bible about prayer being part of the armoury of God. So in effect God says that prayer can be used as a weapon. However, that got me thinking why would God want you to use prayer for destruction (the SMC teaching in me unfortunately). But that's not what it means, I think it means that the type of prayer used in meditation can be used as a weapon for salvation of the planet and all living things on it.

I don't mean 'salvation' as in 'becoming a Christian or whatever' and I don't think that's the kind of salvation being talked about in these passages in the Bible. I do think that the 'salvation' here is referring to 'saving the world' or 'saving the planet and all living things in it'. Not necessarily in the same vein as 'redemption', which I believe IS talking about the saving of souls and introducing them to the true spiritual nature of homo sapiens.

I also don't believe you have to convert to any religious beliefs in order to understand the true spiritual nature and total connection inherent in us all. Therefore, to my mind, redemption comes when you first realise that spiritual connection and begin to use it wisely to help and succour your fellow human beings and the environment in which we live, and through redemption of your spiritual self comes salvation of the planet. (ie: redeeming your inherent spiritual power causes you to become more aware of the spiritual connection you have to all living things on the planet and allows you to be instrumental in the salvation of the planet.)

If you believe that all of humanity came from two God-made beings then you have to believe that every single person on this planet is related to you through distant ancestry and you should respect them for that alone regardless of their beliefs, the colour of their skin, the way they pray, the way they live their lives etc.

So the prayers or mediations we should be doing should be focused on the world as a whole and not just our own wee slice of it. It is so wrong for religions around the world to stay in their own wee closeted groups, discrediting one another, when in the cold light of day we are all part of the same species with the same basic needs for survival and spiritual wellbeing.

The power of prayer folks - do you think it could be so powerful we might change the world in some way, if we are all praying for or meditating on the RIGHT thing? Or do you think I'm reading the Bible wrong here.

2 Chron: 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

There is no mention in this verse, or the others surrounding it, of praying for yourself or for more holiness or for the casting out of your demons etc. It's quite simply about the people forgetting their differences and their violence towards each other and getting together to pray or meditate on God and the wonder of creation. That would indeed create a huge loving energy in all inhabited areas of the world (assuming every person on the planet meditated and sent out loving thoughts around the world).

Sorry, I know I do go on and on a bit but, in closing, remember that satan is the greatest deceiver of all (it says so in the Bible) and he knows that he only has to deceive the LEADERS of the people and the people will meekly follow like sheep.

If you haven't done so already, then go to Youtube and watch the Derrin Brown experiments to see just how easy it can be to deceive people and remember your own experiences in Struthers Memorial Church. The key words and phrases used again and again to control the masses. It's probably the easiest type of deception in the world.

As always biiiiiiiig love and huge hugggggggs to all here and all living things on the planet.
God Bless xxxx

PS. You'll note that sometimes I now refer to SMC with their full title, this is just to try and bump up the Google rankings for the search term. Although I have changed the name once for a bit of a dig at them and because I balk at using the word 'Church' in their title.

Hi Cbarb-again
I have to disagree with you on some of the points you wrote about.
Re the experience of Baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues, I believe these to be genuine experiences with their source in the true and living God as outlined clearly in several places in the Bible. Many, many Christians have experienced these things all over the world. Actually there are probably more in other countries than in the UK but we just don't hear about them and we tend to know only about what's happening in our churches in this country.

Struthers Memorial Church did not invent or initiate the Baptism in the Holy Spirit nor did they invent speaking in tongues. These experiences are not confined to Struthers Memorial Church. I have had genuine and lasting experiences concerning these gifts and I know many other Christians who have as well. I realise that some people may fake it or pretend but that doesn't mean it's not a genuine experience given by God through the Holy Spirit.
So again, I use my wee metaphoric saying: We mustn't throw the baby out with the bath-water.

Re prayer by Christians, it's the same. Struthers Memorial Church did not invent prayer or intercession. These are not confined to people within Struthers Memorial Church. I pray a lot for people, for countries and for myself and I will continue to do so. So do many Christians. I didn't stop such praying when I left Struthers Memorial Church. They think they're the only people who really know how to pray but they aren't.

The new "Struthers Survivors" website is very interesting. Thank you to whoever you are, who has set it up. Google the name and you'll find it.

Please excuse me for posting again; I realise this is not my arena, so to speak.
Cornelius Dredd: You are warm but (war correspondent posts notwithstanding) I am not a journalist. I am investigative and was told of this Struthers Memorial Church and the associated damage. I am astounded by the lack of any response from leadership, or any visible accountability.
A poster here said I should be aware of these people. (Mind you, he also said I would recognize him. Sorry mate, can't tell which poster you are. Email me please.)
Rensil, thankyou for your appreciation, but I laid the foundations for a survivors site before learning the extent of this forum. Add the Latigo site and it is clear I am surplus. So I am intending to let the site go, though I can keep it renewed at minimum cost. People seem to be viewing it but are not contacting me. Perhaps I'll let it run for one more month. If nothing else, it must be annoying for this church to see a site for survivors of their teachings.
But the survivors are here. So another site would be pointless, as far as I can see.
I have seen with my own eyes now. And attended a meeting or two.
Raising awareness is all I can add, but in new circles. I just hope that is of some use to some posters here.
It is a travesty this has gone on so long.
Huge admiration for you people here, and my sympathies.
Wish you all the best, Vinny and thanks for having me.
