Thanks for sharing the article by Sam Harris, Corboy.

It's a really interesting story. A Swiss woman who was following Papaji had some kind of trancendent experience and Papaji was very quick to proclaim that the woman was therefore enlightened.

The Swiss woman then travelled with a group of seekers to visit a Buddhist Dzogchen Master. This Master was able to point out that the woman was not in fact enlightened. She was merely thinking about being enlightened all the time and she felt blissed-out due to her thoughts, which were pleasant.

I can absolutely relate to this! It is pleasant to contemplate the nature of enlightenment and to imagine the freedom that it would entail! But that does not make you enlightened.

There is no "quick fix" when it comes to spirituality. You have to undertake spiritual practices. Serving others. Meditation. Prayer, chanting, devotion to God (not to a guru!) Humility, making moral and ethical choices, abstaining from intoxicants, moderation, etc. Giving to the poor. Forgiveness.

All these things don't come easy!

There is an interesting new video which has been shared on the Guruphiliac Facebook page by a woman named Amma Tanya White:

This woman was a long-time follower of Tony Moo's and she recently discovered that Moo has been having sex with plenty of his female followers! She is really angry and upset about it and she wants to tell the world, it seems.

The woman, Amma Tanya, had had her suspicions about Moo for a long time. She heard rumors. She thought that something did not "feel right" at Monte Sahaja. She even expressed her concerns to Moo himself. She was then given the cold shoulder, big time. She began to question her own mind.

Then she decided to make contact with an ex-member of the Moo Cult- someone who had been pushed out, I think. This ex-member confirmed her fears... that Moo has inappropriate, exploitative relations with young, female followers.

Since speaking out publicaly, Amma Tanya has been contacted by many female ex-members of this cult who have been sexually exploited by Moo. And it's only been a few days.

There is quite a lot of content on her facebook page- she is certainly not afraid to speak out. It does look like she is offering to put victims in contact with each other- I'm not quite sure. She is certainly willing to offer her support to victims- and she is a registered nurse.

[www.facebook.com]:
Amma Tanya White, she has come forward to speak the truth about Mooji and I think she needs some support because a lot of deceitful Mooji’s devotees or Mooji’s concubines want to dispute and dismiss her statements. She is right about Mooji’s covert sexual misconduct or exploration, it has been confirmed here as well by Xivopari at: [forum.culteducation.com] or by Aga G.: at [chi-ting.blogspot.com]

We are dealing here with the Mooji’s well-organized society, strong financially supported, not seeking the truth, and oriented on partial spectrum of the enter level or some kind of open-vulnerable people

"Ashram Fever" -- Guru Addiction to Hyper Stimulation?

IMO going into the public multi follower guru business exposes aspiring guru to more temptation than any human mind -and any human body - can cope with.

My guess is the level of stimulation directed at a guru
would likely overstimulate the persons reward centers much the way highly addictive drugs do - nicotine, methamphetamine, etc.

Boost dopamine and stimulate the brain's reward centers above a certain point, and risk of addiction rises.

The heavy hyper adoring attention GENERATED by ashram set up itsellf might drive a gurus nervous system might out of whack and lead to an addiction process.

The guru would get dependent on elevated dopamine brought about by the social set up that guru has created.

We have learned a thing or two about the troubles rock musicians have had when on tour and on the road for weeks and months at a time. Living isolated cosseted by security guards and entourages, interspersed with appearances at concerts and exposed to the staggering intensity of public performance and adoration from assembled crowds.

Unlike gurus, rock musicians are not regarded as salvation figures (except by Deadheads. And look what happened to Jerry Garcia. His health broke down.)

My guess is that commerical gurus are likely to get hooked on the intensity of the attention they elicit (and commerical gurus are ambitious to begin with), and like other addicts will fall into depression
if deprived of intense ashram adulation and the novelty of attracting new followers more property more power more money. Ordinary relation ships would feel boring by comparison. Notice how many gurus fall into lives of excess. More property. More disciples. More fame, more money, more erotic demands on followers.

IMO it is asking the impossible of any human animal to expect a person to remain kind humble, patient, non greedy adult after immersion in a bath of publicity, being waited on hand adf foot for weeks, months, years.

The guru lifestyle is too much for any human psyche. No enlightenment can prevent guru lifestyle from throwing the human nervous system and physiology off balance.

The thing I don't understand is that the Moo Group are a registered charity, with the U.K's Charity Commission. Surely they would have to deal with a complaint the proper way, via an independent investigation? Wouldn't they have a complaints process in place?

They publicly denigrate this poor woman, Amma Tanya, via Fb, but they don't officially deny the allegations or at least launch some kind of inquest?

This group can't be above board. They are a cult, they exploit people for money and sexual favours and they have been allowed to get away with it. And they get tax-free status from the government, as a charity.

Don't forget the fire on the Monte Sahaja property - the ashram residents had to be evacuated and the nearby town provided shelter, plus the local fire fighting brigade was called out - which meant fire fighters risking their lives in the line of duty.

When she said "we're divine beings having a human experience." in the vídeo that told me she didn't begin to step into Reality, into the unity of Being. That's spiritual language she's using.

She seems to be sincerely in pain for reasons unbeknownst to us, and we can empathize with that, but she's not as sincerely enraged as she would be, if her claims were true.she's just not.
Her argument that victims are afraid of the backlash and that's why they're not coming forward themselves seems bizarre. It's the #metoo era. Sexual abuse has never been denounced as much and the victims have never received as much validation and support, socially.

The "OM Sat Guru Moojibaba ya Namaha" video that was deleted from youtube has popped up here (someone saved it!)

Someone should download it, and put it on youtube again. I heard how this is done here

In light of Amma Tanya White's revelations, it's great to see this video up again clearly displaying the climate that Moo is creating: a line up to kiss his feet, be fed by him, worshipping him, being fanned, having his forehead wiped etc. It's like his own Cult expose documentary!

Mara Fiota,
check this link in the discussion by Anna Dun: [www.youtube.com]. I guess that she was sexually involved together with Krisnabai and Mooji and wants him "dead"...

I was expected to see a written statement from Amma Tanya White online, at least several anonymous second-hand stories about everything what she heard from others female victims in monte sahaja or from her email communications, she has not done it yet. why?

Clearvision,
Thank for links,
there is the third video at Reddit/YT: Mooji’s another devotee bows down in front of him and kisses his feet while Mooji strokes him like a dog....

I would not be surprised if we do see some young women launching official complaints against Moo and his so-called "charity".

It would be a terrifying thing to do, though... Look at all the online backlash against Amma Tanya. Cult members are calling her a "monster" and throwing racist insults her way. It must be frightening and so incredibly hurtful. Don't forget, these are the same people who welcomed her into their cult with open arms and showered her with blessings.

Then they turn on her viciously and verbally attack her with vile insults. They aren't very enlightened people; you think they would be "turning the other cheek"!

Or you would think they would be asking "Are you sure about this, Amma Tanya? We will have to investigate this Tony Moo! We will stand him down on full pay, until we know what is really going on." That would be a reasonable response to these serious allegations.

But the cult have gone into over-drive, trying to protect Moo by insulting his accuser.... Can you imagine how they will treat the actual victims when they bravely come forward? Amma Tanya is a mature woman, a College Profesor and a nurse. She has family support. The victims are only young women, some with PTSD, or other mental health concerns, and problems reintegrating into society after being in a cult. It would not be an inviting opportunity for them to come forward, it would be absolutely horrific.
