If you look around that forum (as another contributor here so aptly pointed out), you'll notice how nobody ever seems to refer to the Jesus Christians as a "cult" there. You would likely be chided for doing so, and you would get downright censured for calling the Jesus Christians a "terrorist cult." That would be far too impolite a remark for that crowd. They'd instead encourage you to try and think of something nice to write of David McKay.
The primary focus of the XJC (from my outsider perspective) is in maintaining and protecting the interests of McKay's son; they are not really interested in doing anything to expose or undermine the cult known as the Jesus Christians, nor are they interested in seeing the McKays held liable for any potential criminal charges that may be leveled against them.
