Thank you for the few that have already acknowledged my post here! As I’ve been wading through research I’ve struggled to organize my thoughts (I’m sure that’s no surprise!). Typically my write ups are mostly about a physical location, with a little history of its origins, however with Shiloh, I believe much more information about the organization is necessary (JRS Iowa ties, TLW history, and d

In June of 2021, I posted this obsevation after rereading recoverdfinally's post. Re: The Living Word Fellowship, The Walk, John Robert Stevens Posted by: Reepicheep () Date: June 16, 2021 08:48AM The above stories reported regarding YASP in Shiloh are very much in keeping with what I know to be true. ForgottenIA, Below is one of the earliest posts about Shiloh. It deals exclusively with that person's summer camp experience as a "young adult." If I recall, almost all the posts on this subject deal with experience, very few (if any) about the decisions that went into designing the physical structure of that place. It's likely that most of those who could provide you with

Hi ForgottenIA, I suspect most people who have been involved with Shiloh and have written about their experience in this forum (now at 1197 pages) are mentally and emotionally exhausted addressing this topic. The very first post here, back in 2004, was focused on Shiloh and the poster was looking to start a discussion. Of course, this person was met with an overwhelming response. Anyway, don

Hello everybody. I am an outsider, and have never been involved with TLW. However, I am working on a story regarding Shiloh, the compound as a physical location. This story will be for a project I've been working on called "Forgotten IA: Lost and Abandoned Places of Iowa". I photographed Shiloh last year before it was torched, however the research for the story has been a doo

Hello, I remember the Cohasset House, chuch and Jim and Sue. Yeah, I'm one of the twin girls that JRS and The Church helped them adopt us. We lived in several homes as they moved around and even in Cohasset. Funny how none of the many adult females didn't care about what was happening to my sister and I in that house. Probably didn't know or see? Yeah, I finally broke free from Ji

More on the 'upward flow' (i.e. enrich the leaders): Posted by: Reepicheep Date: March 21, 2019 08:15AM Unfortunately, there were no outside financial checks or balances in TLWF, only the Annual Shepherd's Report. the heyday of Shiloh (summer of 1979--400+ people living in building) storming Heaven attempting to give God a black eye If we knew when he took his naps, we could ambush him when his defenses are down. He's been around for a very long time, seen what mankind is capable of, so it stands to reason that he's a frequent napper. #PrayerWarriorStrategy

From kBOY's WALK TALK Lexicon: Victory Siege = The heyday of Shiloh (summer of 1979--400+ people living in building) storming Heaven attempting to give God a black eye I always think of this when I hear "Under His Eye" in Handmaid's Tale. But really all the heaven stormers achieved was making themselves hoarse and giving themselves PTSD. And God help the poor children wh

I hear the old MFC farmhouse on the Shiloh property was intentionally burned down 2 nights ago. More purging of the property. I guess all buildings are being cleared out. I wonder if the water tower is next?

Like all the violent intercession in the Walk/TLWF, it appears to have had the opposite effect. In fact, I think the best way to not have something happen, is to pray violently for it to happen...persistently "hitting God under the eye," and basically pissing him off.

BTW, I recall one summer while working on a project at Shiloh I was approached by an Apco member that had never spoken to me before. He wanted to let me know that Marilyn (Mom) thought her sex life was dead after John passed, but it had been revived with Gary--better than ever. That was pretty much it. I'm not sure why I needed to know this. Perhaps I was to spread this 'exciting'

A few posts from April of 2019: Posted by: puddington Date: April 09, 2019 02:17AM Prettyboy - You say that we are letting Gary & Rick win. I’m not really keeping score and I’ve already prepared myself for an outcome where they both walk free. As far as I am concerned, the war is over souls and setting the captives free. By that metric, we won already. So many people are free now. Gar
