p.s. I've heard that his Honolulu home has sold, so he is now a bit richer...so he can do even greater work for the Kingdom. Not.

Thank you for your kind words, Marci. Yeah, I've been here a long time, with over 1400 posts to date...some of them, I think, have actually helped people ;) Anyway, we're bound to have some internal strife as we're all looking to uncover the truth about what is and has taken place within this cult. To our credit, I think we have handled our disagreements in a far more mature &am

Work day at my house tomorrow. Free lemonade for all those that work hard... Sorry, it's too deeply entrenched in my nature :)

It's very possible it's my posts that suck. I've had a few PM's sent to me while being here that would confirm your take. Again, no problem. Express yourself, and don't worry what people like me think. As far as going for a "cheap laugh", that part of me will always be here. Just ignore my posts if it bothers you--I won't be offended.

Yeah, I just posted this comment because there's so much backlash from those who continue to enable the likes of Rick and Gary about people who have left having a "bad spirit" or consumed with being "negative." It's a massive distraction from meaningful discussion, I think. If someone has what I believe to be a valid point yet seems to lack a "right spirit"

Welcome ReachingForward. I appreciate your extremely sane post. It's easy to question our own sanity with all the calculated propaganda we have been subjected to for so many years. This forum has been invaluable in helping us see things as they are, leading us down a path of healing and freedom. I am not obsessed with people being either negative or positive...it's whether what is b

On the subject of having a "right spirit," I think much of this anger would subside if the leaders functioned with accountability. The 'Apology letter' could gone a long way in paving the road to healing, if Gary had simply acknowledged that he was aware of Rick's behavior, and should have done something about it. That's the type of remorse that will get the attenti

BTW, one thing that became clear from my long-time involvement in TLWF was than when the sheep were upset about something, they were often chastised for having a "bad spirit." However, when the leaders would rant and rave about various things in the fellowship, they (generally) were given the benefit of the doubt, and viewed as channeling God's "righteous anger." Very con

Welcome Prettyboy. Thanks for sharing a portion of your bio. I think your "independent spirit" helped you extricate yourself from the walk. Good thing to have, in retrospect. Too bad no one had foresight to make a COTU t-shirt. I would be wearing it right now...no matter how tightly it fit :) (picture of the known universe, with an arrow pointing to Shiloh, dead center)

Center of the Universe (COTU): I recall hearing this once, while listening to a cassette tape in the 70's of a message John brought in Shiloh. He referred to Shiloh as the center of the universe. I didn't take it literally, which may have been a sign of my unbelief--not sure.
