I was initially drawn to the CLW because of the teaching regarding restoration of the early church practices which as many of us know missed the mark. I'm currently reading "Pagan Christianity?" (2002,2008) by Frank Viola & George Barna. Consider the following from page 248: The New Testament Church did not have clergy. Apostolic workers were not viewed as being part of a spec

Invisible, your insights always very healing. Someone posted a while back either here or on factnet that John was obedient to the word the Lord gave him to pass the mantle to G&M. I'm not so sure John always had a pipeline to the will of God and I wonder if the term mantle of authority wasn't misguided thinking that was misused by John and G&M. If John never had a mantle of auth

During my time at Shiloh the movie Grease was popular and John Miller warned us about one of the female characters, Rizzo, being a "channel." I don't think so.

I guess a way for a fleshly desire to be better than others is to want to belong to an inner circle more than you want to be humbled. I saw brothers throw brothers under the bus to be close to John. There have been posts about that. And I remember one brother, Mike, he looked like a homeless person and was very emotional and cried a lot having been in Vietnam. After he married into the inner cir

A while back during a vacation and much to my surprise, stayed at a b&b inn that was owned/run by Carol Grunenberg. Carol and Craig once pastored South Gate and Honolulu. After they divorced Carol dropped Grunenberg as her last name. Carol, Lucy Gospodnetich (Honolulu Fellowship,) and Margeret ? (Shiloh late 70's) are cousins and were beneficiaries to the $250 Million sell of the family

I can't imagine the devastation of being told by G&M, leave we have no need of you or congregants being told stay away from him/her. David experienced the devastation of division in families; in Psalm 133 he likens unity to the precious oil upon the head running down. The oil (unity) begins at the head and flowed down; brotherly love descending from the head (leadership) to all parts
