Proverbs 4:23 says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” New Living Translation --------------------- When you first get kicked out or leave TLWF it’s like you’re away from it, but still looking and sensing the monster from a distance. The risk is whether or not Creator God is backing the monster or backing you. It’s a fear factor that has to be de

SLC stands for Salt Lake City. There was a good sized Living Word Church named Faith Chapel in Utah from 1968 to 1986. I was a member from 1970 to 1985, hence the cover name FCSLC.

Apostle Dog. I remember Harold Bailey talking about Bill Mabey crawling. Harold said, “It’s not of God,” but that was all. Harold and his family quit the church when he got back from California and moved to Tucson, AZ with no forwarding address except for those he felt he could trust. I wish Harold would have explained it in more detail (scripturally – he was a scriptural giant to many of us)

According to Young’s Analytical Concordance (one of the books I didn’t burn after exiting the Walk) we have the following small sample of words used by the First Christ while on earth: Church --- Used three times all in Matthew. Submit --- Zilch, Zippo, Big Fat Zero. Submission --- Zilch, Zippo, Big Fat Zero, not even used in the whole New Testament. Without question the First Jesus i

The onerous fruit produced by this cult is becoming second to none. Taking seriously anything interpreted, written, spoken or promulgated by them is totally foolish and nearly unforgivable.

And for those of us who didn’t buckle under, we were labeled as rebellious contaminates. Witches, Sons of Anak, Sons of Korah, stains, blemishes, less than human, evil offspring, hated of God, anti-christ, full of witchcraft, demon possessed, deserving of punishment, needing to be shunned and banished and prayed against. And so it takes thirty years to reprogram the brain into realizing that

paleface: It didn't register in my brain that I was is a cult. For years I was at constant odds (extreme inner turmoil) with the local ministries. Being obligated (heavy on obligated) to submit to another human, whether an elder or heavy duty spiritual goes against everything in my inner being. If we're not born free to remain free, then could somebody explain to me how life can

I'm really enjoying your posts Apostle Dog. It's opening eyes to the common freedom most people in America enjoy. Shopping for churches that "rightly align" with ones changing spiritual and social needs is not taboo, but a freedom that should be taken advantage of. Amazing. God doesn't hate or black list "church hoppers." On a second note: I have a har

Nothing extraordinary will happen. Humans will go extinct as heaven and earth pass away in tandem with the Sun going super nova. Once we're elevated to a spiritual energy signature, then we'll actually understand it all. It won't sell. Sorry. CD's from the Living Word have a better chance.

Like begets like as in "Jerks" beget "Jerks" ---- this much is certain. The two shepherd families (four adults -- militant loyalists) who were put in charge of the Salt Lake City Church were really feeling the power. One time the Sunday morning service was scheduled to start at 10:00am at a certain person's home. Well, the royals showed up at 10:45am in the church va

It still “chaps my hide” when remembering all the sacrifice the locals made just to have a church for their children to attend that was an alternative to the predominant faith of the region. The Salt Lake City church (Faith Chapel) was a gold mine. A nice building sitting on five acres of prime real estate on the east side.
