Slandjt. I attended a couple of services in that metal barn. What a strange reunion indeed if it was made up of former Coniah members who still subscribe to LW teachings (a LWFB splinter group) rather than having a reunion for the sake of ordinary fun and friendship bonds made forty-plus years ago. If it is a group of LW sympathizers (which it seems) who still want to play the church game then

howmidoing: I can’t do it. There are two shepherds (+wives) that I don’t ever want to communicate with or ever see again. My consolation is that heaven is infinitely large and I will be able to live happily apart from them forever. I will not make the first move------there is something deep inside indicating that it would be spiritual suicide as well as a can of worms not worth the time. T

I’ve got it. Thank you. The geo-coding (URI) for the concrete remnants are: 36.914555, -114.661556. Typing in these coordinates in the Google Satellite Search Box puts the ‘red balloon’ right on the concrete remnants. Have to concur ---- doesn’t look like a million dollars was invested.

Good to hear from you Invisible. “Another thing I came to conclude for myself, is each person's relationship with God is sacred.” Your concluding statement would fit nicely somewhere in Ecclesiastes. And each New Testament book would do well to end with it also!

Thank you Tmason. In a heartfelt way, your post about life in the hot desert at the mine with the sand blowing gives the ‘donation’ some legitimacy for me. My uncle ran a sand & gravel pit in similar circumstances. I remember as a child being amazed at small pebbles being sun scorched (burnt) on one side. I think it’s accurate. I gave $6000.00 to John Hostetter and someone he was traveling with ( ? Paul Holder) when they visited the Salt Lake City church. Thank you changedagain. That is a good verse to remember. Maybe we should make the words “submission, rule, obey, authority” slaves to this verse. {{We refuse to acknowledge or in any way acquiesce to the demands of “submission, rule, obey, authority” unless they operate in a very restricted scope under the auspices of 1 Peter 5:2-3.}} Better still; maybe we should throw it all out and

lily rose. Thank you. I especially liked the following: King James and the Cult of the Bishops ----- As one peruses the King James’ rendering of these Scriptures in Hebrews, it appears, at least it seems this way to this author, to be a deliberate attempt by those who were in power (King James [16031625] and his bishops) to strengthen their hold on usurped authority, an authority traced all

Can anyone on this forum give chapter and verse to debunk the above “irrational thinking?” I think time, history and personal stories on this forum prove that it’s BS, I still think more is needed. It would be prudent to have a scripture or two to use when an inspired newbie (child or grandchild) wants to jump off the cliff.

My suggestion is to be extremely careful. These polished ‘god usurpers’ excel at subtly swaying a believer’s allegiance away from the Holy Spirit and replacing it with a totalitarian allegiance to themselves. These self-proclaimed leaders come from a perverted persuasion that ignorantly refuses to recognize that other believers can be left to the care of the Holy Spirit (Acts 20:32). Their act

My “do over” would be to honor my own opinion, capabilities and revelation. Instead of kowtowing to self-proclaimed spiritual authorities and feeling obligated to respect and regard “their” thinking as superior, I would give my own Spirit to spirit revelation the priority.
