From The Anticult: QUOTE:"Obviously, cryonics has to be regulated by a government body, with regular surprise inspections and complete audits. This is what the cryonics companies will do anything to block". UNQUOTE. Man, this is REALLY needed to put an end to the cult-nature of these criminals. They need to be driven out of business. If a sincere scientific org wishes to head a

I will remain a skeptic to cryonics until their 'scientists' can freeze and then successful thaw a test subject such as a dead mouse or dead rat (with no massive cell damage). As far as re-animation of the dead tissue and 'bringing the dead back to life', I will 'assume' that the science necessary for that is 'to be invented sometime in the distant future'

Welcome, PhilOssifur. Cryonics has yet to show it can "bring back" a dog let alone a human. That being said I know that the thought of death vs. possible re-animation via cryonics is a powerful recruiting tool...I mean who ever really wants to die? Very few. The hypnotic allure of ever-lasting life/re-animation is very powerful. A quote attributed to Wernher von Braun (Amer

corboy, I do agree with Rick's moderation (and banning) of Amhebera. He/she responded in a private message to me (a type of communication I prefer to usually ignore) which I promtly deleted. 'A' responded to a post I made where he/she "knew the intent of a ONE POSTING member here (who posted in the Tech section erroneously) who has never returned" enough to explain

Thank you, rrmoderator. He/she needed to be more upfront and sharing. I am pleased that all the little games people play are not tolerated on this board for long.

Good link, corboy. Amusing stuff. #4 from the article is pertinent to this site. "Moderaters need to be armed". This site works so well because it is closely and carefully moderated. As a side note, there is another site I used to go to (NOT cult or religion related) which boasted at least 6 different moderators. Threads would be hijacked in odd ways. I started discussion on

That being said, what Amhebera writes about LGATs and his/her petulant responses (lynch mobs) are certainly fair game to respond to.

To be fair to Amhebera who stated he/she was a writer, just because there may or may not be type-o's or punctuation errors doesn't disqualify this. He/she could be an unpublished fiction/short story writer, or even a published one (don't editors correct their writers mistakes?) or even a writer for a newspaper, comic book (illustrated novel for you fanatics) or poetry journal.

Here is a useful link from a news story that rrmoderator posted on the companion newsheadline site www.cultnews.net from April 28th. It contains a lot more direct information from what SamiE is describing: It is a real hoot! Well worth exploring for the knowledge of these scoundrels.

ekb, Everything is sales with LGATs. The BEST way to stop a pesky salesperson is the simple word "NO". There is no way for them to get around it. They will ask "Why not?" looking for a weakness to drive the dagger home (as The Anticult and corboy have eloquently explained). The ONLY answer to any follow up questions is "NO". Don't be nice and weak an

John Fox, The Anticult and Zorro, good posts. Keep Truth and Knowledge flowing. Too many people are taking the word of LGAT "gods" and are running with it. As long as we keep telling folks the NONSENSE that these groups do and the mind-fucking that they inflict on innocents, then we have a noble cause. 'True Believers' are another issue altogether. 'They'

Hi, ekb I think if she is a "true believer" in her self-help group you can't talk sense to her at this point. This is a half-tongue-in-cheek response, but how about you find her religious persuasion the next time she asks and then collect a bunch of Jehovah Witlesses magazines (easy to do, just stop by a 'meeting house' and get some from someone) and ask her if she ha

QUOTE from Amhebra Sparky, I see where you are coming from. One of the problems is that this website lacks a feedback discussion board. John Fox, Please understand, I am neither directly challenging Amhebera's ideals nor his/her beliefs. I believe he/she has mistaken my (politely, in my opinion) telling a new member where best to post a new thread, as an attack/insensitive remark. I neither desire new members (nor any members) to be banned by rrmoderator unless they are vicious apologist troll morons.

TheUndeniableMaster, I agree that the more I learn of Falun Dafa, the more I see it as a 'new' religion with touches of the sci-fi religions. I thought it was a buddhist-based faith but the fact of aliens and 'magic' sort of puts it in a place all of its own. I don't think it is fair to necessarily compare it to Scientology which is more of a tax-dodge religion (IMHO

Also see the excellent Canadian film "Ticket to Heaven" which is available online and in stores for sale on DVD (Under $10USD so I hear). It takes on an imaginary cult (clearly based on the Unification Church) showing the recruitment and the eventual rescue of the lead character by a famous 'de-programmer'(Rick Ross as a younger man? just kidding, Rick). It is worth the loo

See this link for "who they are"" They seem to be a blend of "Shriners" and psuedo-science adherers. I think the most interesting part is that they bring in plate tectonics and the desire to pass their own laws, issue their own passports and levy their own taxes. In short, much like other "religions" that revolve around a specific cult leader or cul
