Who owns the church property that we as members of The Church of the Living Word attended and tithed to cover the finances that were involved? Aren't we ALL questioning that right now? Hargrave and other resigned leaders have not been transparent. I think most of agree that we think the corporate re-structuring with out the people's vote or even prayer or knowledge may be unscrupu

Inquiring minds want to know if Hargraves homes are or have been considered "parsonage"? I'm not a tax attorney for wealthy preachers- so here are the basics that the IRS says about pastors homes and income tax. This is extremely disturbing to read what Gary has said. I think it is a great risk for those of us who so boldly post what we see as the truth. I'm going to keep posting my typos to get the message out there, anyway. I know we who have been out for decades understand how confusing it will be for those left inside about what way to go. I takes time to figure it out - I don't kno

I believe that lack of real revelation is still prevalent today in what remains of The Church of the Living Word. members and leaders are human beings- we all have human needs that need to be addressed by people who have the training and knowledge base to treat us. Mental health issues were never properly addressed- see post quoted below which this subject up. Beside mental health when people

From way back on this forum I think is worth repeating some of the occult practices we were taught in TLW cult. JRS sneaked into youth groups with our parent's knowledge. it in- then in the next chapter Marilyn moved on to other things that were oh so not biblical. Since I left in '83 officially, I am curious as to if Marilyn carried on these occult practices or not? did any one eve

Thanks, Changed for sharing then. There are so many facets and twisted mazes to this mess TLW. One of the most prevalent is the fact that leader had their buddies in leadership - how did people get placed into "ministry" in the first place? What were the requirements to be Bro in the Walk? Denominations have requirements. Non-denominational; churches have very few requirements.

I would like to share this on Facebook if no objections. Reep? Changed? I know there is a magazine link somewhere. What would be interesting to side line would be pictures of the run down communal houses many kingdom business workers lived in or room at Shiloh. Of course there would be no pictures of the convalescent home for the aging that was promised at the beginning Shiloh. - oh wa

I have scouring old posts for the link to the magazine article about the Hargraves lovely $3.5 mil home in Hawaii. I wanted to share it on FB I have been having great mini-discussions with my old friends on FB. That made me realize that if I had been in Iowa when I left the walk I may not have left the TLW. I never wanted to leave my friends whom I trusted. What I cared about most in TLW wh

This quote is worth repeating and remembering. Now, how to reveal this in love to those still trying to figure out what side of the fence will land on? The truth is nasty- the truth is harsh - the truth destroys all of our fantasies about walking in the kingdom.
