Regarding: Science of Identity Foundation Jagad Guru Chris Butler Siddhaswarupananda Science of Identity Foundation Cult It never ceases to amaze me how the pattern remains the same . . . What follows is an eloquent description of guru cults ~ which also fits the cult of Butler. My comments relating to Butler specifically are in blue. Excerpted from: The Guru Papers: Masks of Aut

This whole reality concept is food for narcissists. As far as the ex-cult members go, television networks could care less about the repercussions of being on a reality t.v. show. Participants will have to once again sign away all rights and have no say in what gets aired or used. Kinda like being in a cult all over again..... sigh...

Quotehoax108I've just come across one of CBs booklets that I didn't realize I still had lying around. It's an early work entitled "Jesus Loves Krsna", by Siddhaswarup Goswami. If anyone wants it, PM me, I'll be glad to send it to you (trolls excepted). It was also posted on this forum a while back. Butler's book on Hehzuess more on J n K

How ironic. How hilarious. How appropriate. A clip from Wai Lana's (Mrs Butler) t.v. show appears in the title credits of the Matthew McConaughey movie "Surfer Dude", a surfer/stoner comedy. She's on the t.v. in the background while a character is getting high while talking on the phone. I laughed my ass off! It's a fun but dumb movie with all the surfer and evil co

QuotenewagesurvivorQuotenewagesurvivor There's first 30 minutes of Religulous to be seen in Google video. Sorry, that link went to the trailer. Anyhow, there's 30:53 min Religulous (2008) by Bill Maher to be seen at least in my country in Europe. It's in the list if you can see it in your country. Hi NAS, There are lots of interviews with Bill Maher on You Tube. The DVD is good

On a similar note about “women protection” (as if they are cows) and early marriage reflected in Bhaktivedanta’s writings and Hindu traditions, Deepah Mehta's film WATER is worth mentioning again. Her film is about the practice of putting widows as young a 8 in “ashrams” forced to live loveless lives in poverty. Because of Hindu fundamentalists, she was driven out of India and had to make

It's also important for people to learn how easily they can be duped and not blame themselves. Newbies can use this knowledge to prevent involvement in a cult in the first place or to help someone who is thinking of joining one. Exers can use this information to delete every last bit of cultic programing and recover their selves again. brainwashing recovery

No, Jason, you have just confirmed your purpose on this thread --- to again disrupt it, get it off topic, and discredit posters. In case you did not notice, ALL the references were from Rick Ross source material on cults and brainwashing. Rick Ross articles on Brainwashing The Sagan quotes reveal the flaws in your own logic, and this is only a partial list: Common fallacies of logic a

I wrote: QuoteMany ex Butler followers have reported that as time went on, as they chanted more, associated more, delved more into the philosophy, that they began to drop some of their of their old core ethics and understandings to only mirror the gurus. They began to feel that they could no longer value or trust their own thinking, willing or feeling. Most exers recover their old values, but

J.C.~ sigh... this is just nutters! A little history: As an adolescent, Chris Butler studied a few books on zen and eastern philosophy and met a few guru guys. Couple this with some acid trips, a natural charisma, an unorthodox upbringing (with one or both parents having narcissistic tendencies), and you've got a screwball cocktail in the making! One day Chris decided to go up

Here's a PRIMER for these quotes from RELIGULOUS to spell out how it applies to Chris Butler: "If you belonged to a political party or social club that was tied to as much bigotry, misogyny, homophobia, violence, and sheer ignorance as religion is, you'd resign in protest. To do otherwise is to be an enabler, a Mafia wife, with the true devils of extremism that draw their legit

Quotejust-googlingJay, regarding the last picture you posted, which goes something like this: Boy sees girl. Boy talks to girl. Boy makes love to girl. Boy feels guilty. Boy quarrels with somebody. Boy gets strangled by snake!!! Could pictures like this have a subliminal effect on cult members and affect their lives? Does this create a religious-type frame of mind that is not very compat

Choice quotes from RELIGULOUS TRAILER My comments are in brackets. "The plain fact is, religion must die for mankind to live. The hour is getting very late to be able to indulge in having key decisions made by religious people, by irrationalists, by those who would steer the ship of state not by a compass, but by the equivalent of reading the entrails of a chicken." QuoteJay Cruise I haven't even got to ACB saying ten to twelve year old girls should be married off and you're all already making defenses for them. Your comparisons to an old fictional manuscript and the catholic church are neither helpful nor relevant. Your minimizations of Butler and his cult makes it difficult to explain this cult to others. There has been renewed interest in Wai Lana and Chris Butler of late so here's this post that shows how seductive and sensuous this cult can be along with it's dangers. It also shows the evolution of an idealistic, charismatic leader into a paranoid narcissistic despot. There is a controversy as to whether he was consciously plotting world domination and exploitation of followers fr
