"With regard to so many of our critics at the RR forum, includin the big R himself, one of their most fundamental arguments against any group is that they get "bad press". This may not necessarily reflect a pro-establishment bias, but it certainly does seem to indicate a pro-media bias, i.e. "If I read it in the newspaper, it must be true." " This is an interestin

"What if everybody tried to live like the JCs?" I love those guys, their questions are so succinct. You are right about DM trying to play with people way out of his league. I guess nobody would work or contribute to the economy, which would collapse (disestablishmentarianism). Then everybody would try to live off everybody else's garbage, until it all ran out. Sounds like a p

"anti-disestablishmentarianism" When I was at school in the 60's, this was the word we said was the longest word in the English language. I'm sure there are longer ones now, but it was a school game to know it and to know how to spell it. I don't think any of us ever thought anyone would actually use it, unless they wanted to show off. I never thought I'd live

David has posted his responses to all of my comments, but avoids one persistent question I ask. Here is his response. Assess it for yourself. Personally I think it's demented. He still does not reply to this persistent question from me, and I challenge him to respond. Did a Quaker woman give you a substantial amount of money? What Quaker moneys have gone into supporting your Kenya

Watch David "grooming" Zion's Daughter. She's obviously a genuine seeker, and has stepped onto the Flame Section with an admonition to David: Added to that, as your sister in Christ, can I just say that some of the threads started to sound like little kids bickering in a playground!! Not fun stuff to witness from this side of the ditch. And it comes across as tit for tat, &

"Some like what we are doing, but with the help of people like David Lowe and the rest of the establishment which they proudly represent, all of that is changing." That's fantastic, it's working. Thanks for the kudos, David. Just what 'establishment' is this? David sounds like a washed-up relic from the 60's counter-culture with revolutionary delusions

I'm getting a big sick of hearing this argument that Jesus was unpopular/got bad press/was persecuted in his day and this is some kind of confirmation that David McKay's unpopularity proves that he is like Jesus. Go back to the Gospels David. They tell us that Jesus was immensly popular. Thousands flocked to hear him, crowds mobbed him, he rode into Jerusalam as crowds cheered and ap

Apologies if there has been reference made to this before, it's new to me and I'm new to this forum. The Global Ideas Bank has a nifty little list of questions to establish a leader's "Guru Quotient". Here are some of the results: - Bhagwan (Osho) 17 (out of 100); - Maharishi 23; - Leonard Orr of the Rebirthing movement 53; - Swami Bhaktivedanta of the Har

Zion's Daughter "So I considered these things and note your detractors are persecuting Jesus too. Though indirectly, through you." Dear Zion's Daughter (great name!) No, we are not persecuting Jesus. We want to stop a narcissist from destroying more young lives and Jesus' name! Don't assume that an attack upon David is an attack upon Jesus. David is not Jesus.

What we don't know, and David does know: He does know what we are going to see when the Kyle program is on youtube. I wonder how he is preparing his followers for what they will see? So far I see a cut-and-run, with all the bannings and bunkering down.....not good.

My question to the Australian Quakers now is, should intolerance be tolerated? At what point do those who love and tolerate diversity, respect and recognition of the religious needs of others decide that they can no longer commune with one who preaches the opposite - i.e. unbending loyalty to the one who claims to be the "One True Leader"?

That is an astounding piece of writing. The man is the only vessel of God. And none of us saw it. All we can do now is cease our dispute with him, obey God's will and hearken to the one true voice.

As time has gone by I've moved from just reading this forum occasionally, to posting occasionally, to suddenly being caught up in David's conspiracy theory that I'm Private Eyes. I've begun reading the Jesus Christians forum. I see that David is still going on about his certainty that I'm Private Eyes. This is so funny. Once he's got an idea into his head, he reads e

Zeusor, you seem to be filled with optimism since David shook your hand and was 'nice' to you. Check his latest posting: "Jesus says to rejoice when we are persecuted, for we are like a city set on a hill, that cannot be hid. It seems that the reason he says it like this is that he knew our "bad deeds" would attract the attention of the masses (e.g. the mass media) and

Hey Search4Tomorrow, I don't know how what I wrote can add up to that conclusion, but your response is subjective and you are clearly reacting from your heart. QuoteSearch4Tomorrow On one hand, the family are around the phone listening in to a conversation. There is nothing wrong with that at all. To listen in on a phone converstation without the other party being aware is illegal in Australia. A family in a room hearing only one end of the conversation is not. So your Christmas Day phone-call "We're all listening Grandma" is fine. Over

I see that David still believes that I am Private Eyes. David, you are a writer, familiar with linguistics and grammar. I've been bemused by your assertions, and there is one way that you can check if we are the same person. Look at our language, our punctuation and our sentence structure. I've gone back over what Private Eyes has written. For example: "The other member, is

Dear David, What would Jesus do? Let's look to what he said. I don't have the time to look up chapter and verse, so you're going to get my rough memories of the spirit of what is recorded in the Gospels. 1. A man asked if we should pay taxes. Jesus said to give to Caeser that which is Caeser's, and to God that which is God's. David, by separating yourself fr
